Definitely one of my favorite parts in this, I think this one was the best one it was so clever
I met Dave Sheridan (Doofy/The Killer) at a comic con and he’s the nicest coolest guy ever. He was in character part of the time but when he saw that we knew him from a couple other movies he did he got so excited and chatted with us about them. A true all star!

I laughed for almost five minutes straight til my stomach hurt. This is gonna go down as the best "jump scare" on this channel, possibly in history....LOL

One of my favorite little jokes is how Scream had Henry Winkler (The Fonz) as the principal and this movie has David Landers (Squiggy) as their principal. Little treat for us Happy Days/ Laverne & Shirley fans. He even has a poster for Shotz Beer in his office. That was the fake company that Laverne & Shirley worked at at the beginning of the series.

Scary Movie was probably the funniest movie of 2000. They spoofed Scream I and II, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Matrix and The Usual Suspects.
Sean & Marlon Wayans wrote most of the movie. A BTS video showed Sean explaining the writing process. He said they rewrote the movie multiple times because Keenan is such a tough critic.
The first 10 mins of Scary Movie II is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Not a spoiler - They spoof the Exorcist in the beginning, so expect lots of references to that movie.

be sure to always google which movies are the Scary franchise parodying cause its more than 1, for instance this one does Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with elements of The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, and The Usual Suspects. Scary Movie 2 does The Exorcist, The Haunting, Poltergeist, and The Amityville Horror. so its best if you've seen them all before or you wont get the jokes.

Of course, it is best to watch the original movies to get all of the jokes for SCARY MOVIE 2. There may be dozens of references in Scary Movie 2 to movies, but here's the main movies you need to see:
HOLLOW MAN (an excellent thriller, worth making a reaction),
THE HAUNTING (an all star cast highlights this movie, and most of Scream 2 is a spoof of this specific movie),
HOUSE (starring Richard Moll, excellent 80s scary movie, worth a reaction)

There's other movies. You should throw these up for a vote of which ones to see before Scary Movie 2.
This is how you do it. You make a couple movies and then do a parody of those same movies. Able to use the same audio clips and visual cues that the other movies had. It’s smart.
The man with the glasses and bow tie is supposed to be Orville Redenbacher. So, he’s extra pissed at Brenda for not buying popcorn. You don’t wanna get on the bad side of him, or Titus Moody (of Pepperidge Farm). 😄

I tried, I really did. I thought "Maybe I'll enjoy watching Whistle watch the movie?" So I started watching, and then did the same thing I did the first time I saw this movie in the theatre. I noped out. Sorry.
I get it. As much as I love the channel and Jay's reactions, this movie is just too stupid and offensive to tolerate. And when I say offensive I don't mean in a woke, non politically correct kind of way. I mean it's toilet humor at it's finest and therefore not entertaining for anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together. I'm not a snob that's incapable of enjoying slapstick, 3 stooges style comedy. There are a few movies from the genre that have made me laugh and I'd deem worthy of watching (Dumb and Dumber, Talledega Nights, National Lampoon's Vacation and Christmas Vacation). But I've gotta pass on the entire Scary Movie series cause IMHO it's pure trash. Still love Jay though and his reaction to this movie was 1000x better than the movie itself. Jay never fails to make me laugh, whether I like the movie or not.
@@tgfitzgerald It's a memory for me, actually :) We were flooded out of our home and staying for a few weeks with my Mom till the waters receded, and I took my boys and went on a movie binge. This was one of the movies they wanted to see, so we got our tickets, went in and sat down. I was ready to leave after 20 minutes, but I didn't say anything. At the 40 minutes mark, my eldest son got up, made a rather rude remark about the movie, and said he was leaving. We all trailed after him, glad that one of us had started the exodus. My eldest son was 14.
