Hello, I just purchased a Rodecaster Duo and I heard that this software would work with the Duo. The main reason I purchase the Duo was to use it for submixes when I teach online. Well, submixing was the tipping point not the sole reason for the purchase. I am a bit of a novice when it comes to audio. I haven't gotten comfortable with the Duo yet but I installed Unify. I don't think I am ready to take this on yet. Can I uninstall the software on a M1 Mac running Ventura? I would like to remove it for now and revisit it once I get more comfortable with the Duo.
Hey there @portersblackboard. Thanks for getting in touch with us. In fact, UNIFY and the RØDECaster line are two separate solutions, they aren't compatible. They do similar things, as they both help you mix multiple sound sources for a slew of different outputs. But UNIFY is a solution for computers, and the RØDECaster is a standalone device that does the same stuff but in a separate device. You can do all the stuff you want to do on UNIFY on your RØDECaster though. We'd recommend checking out the section on submixes in the RØDECaster user guide here: rode.com/en/user-guides/rodecaster-pro-ii/setting-up-the-mixer-and-assigning-channels#section-understanding-the-outputs To uninstall UNIFY on Mac, you can delete the UNIFY app from your apps folder, then navigate to "/Users/[Username]/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/RØDE UNIFY Drivers" and then delete the "RØDE UNIFY Drivers" folder. Let us know if you have any more questions!

That's a fantastic question. There are two options, a) an option that's for users who don't use the chat mix feature for sending a clean mic mix back to their Discord chat or in-game chat, and b) an option for if you do use a chat mix. A) If you aren't using a chat mix: just make your stream mix everything except your music, and make your chat mix only music, and include both mixes in OBS as inputs. That way your stream will hear everything, and you can just exclude the chat mix from your VOD track in OBS. B) However, if you are using a chat mix: continue running your music through your "music channel", but exclude exclude the music channel from your stream mix, while still keeping it in your headphone mix, and other mixes you'd like to keep it in. This means that if you'd like to change the volume of your music, it would be best to do this from Spotify or your music platform of choice. We hope that makes sense! Feel free to ask us if you have any further questions.
@@rodemic Thanks. That means: In case "A" I do not use a mix and can send the individual tracks to OBS in order to send the music track individually to the stream track and exclude it from the VOD track?
Hey there! If you're asking if you can use a device like a RØDECaster Duo to mix your game audio on a physical mixer, the answer is yes. However, UNIFY and the RØDECaster are not currently compatible.
