“Alot of you are buying this just for the damn camera” So what?! They bought it, so guess what? They can use it for whatever THEY want to use it for, who the hell are you to condemn them?
Thank you so much! I actually did a video a little while ago, going over my color-grading process. I'll link it here: ua-cam.com/video/2UiUEbOUllw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheSpareTechRoom
I got mine for $72 off eBay. It was practically new in the box. It had a bad usb-c cable and the guy thought it was broken and gave up. I contacted Rode and they sent me a new cable for free. It’s still a little finicky at times but works great.
Hello. That was a great video. Thanks for putting it together. I'm curious if you noticed any latency between the HDMI video feed and audio via XLR. Like the video being a few frames off from the audio if using Streamer X for both?
That’s a good question. I haven’t had any lag issues, but I know it’s not uncommon. If you record into OBS though, there is an option to delay audio so it matches with your video feed. Usually you just have to delay it by a few milliseconds. I would mess around with that if you have any issues. 😊
Is there a headphone preamp built in to power headphones with higher impedance? I believe that the Duo and Pro 2 has a decent one, but I rarely hear people talk about the headphone side of things when reviewing these devices.
I’ve had no problems with my sennheiser 58x headphones. I’m not sure what the max impedance is though, but it definitely feels like there’s plenty of power. 😊
at 2:28 when you say back out to your headphones for example lets say I have a ps5 connected via the capture card HDMI part. I will be able to monitor the ps5 audio right?
Hey! Jot got one myself, seems like a lot of people have hiss in headphone outputs if using the low impedance headphones, does that seem to be true for you?
I typically don't use low impedance headphones, but I just tested it out and yes. There definitely seems to be a hiss when using them. Thank you for bringing this up. It would seem the Streamer X is built more for high impedance headphones.
@@Chilloveque So, my everyday headphones are the Sennheiser HD 58X headphones, which I belive have an impedance of 150 ohms. I have had no problem with those at all. I just tried out a pair of IEMs though, and there's a definite hiss with them. I believe those have an impedance of 20 ohms. I hope that helps!
@@TheSpareTechRoom Thank you, man! I'm planning to buy a resistance booster as I've seen people say that helps on a cheaper side of things :D So you info should be helpful :)
Hi.. I have Few questions before i buy this device, I have the Shure sm7b i am using it with a Dynamite Dm1 and Focustrite 2i2 3rd gen. All i want from this device is Audio Recording with Processing and Monitoring with Headset without Delay. Does it Have a Delay when Monitoring Audio with Processing On?.. Because i dont want to spend an arm and a leg on Rode RodeCasterDUo
Hi! I haven’t experienced any audio delay when monitoring processed audio. If you’re just recording the one microphone, I would highly recommend this over the duo.
@@Easy_Forex_Strategy Remember the RC Duo does not capture or pass through video like the Streamer X does. It's only limitation is that it has just one XLR port as compared to the 2 on the Duo or 4 on the RC 2. If everything you do is just you, then the Streamer X is the better, less expensive choice. Considering getting one for my mobile kit. Does it also come in as a video source through USB-C?
What do you think about the Rode Streamer X? Check it out here: geni.us/R1X1Sj

How long can it record for? And can you upload videos from it on the PS5 directly or do you need to upload it to a lap top first?

I would love to see how you got this video look amazing. The color and the face smoothness is amazing

Oh, sweet! Way to finesse that whole thing. 😂

Well it's Dec 11 and you're at over 1k subs, so yay!
Thank you so much! I’m honestly blown away by how fast the channel has grown. I just hope I don’t disappoint everyone that subscribes. 😊

@TheSpareTechRoom If you mind, how much impedance do yours have? Does it help with hiss or completely push it down to levels you can't hear?

Can you record on a ps5 4K 120fps?
