Back in my younger days,when you looked at that much buildup. It was an engine that had Quaker state oil ran in it. The old version back in the Sixty's and 70's. I lost an engine due to using a good oil in one of these. great job on the engine. As always I liked and shared. All my best.

Old engine oils used paraffin, causing nasty buildup!
Yeah, the bottom end was surprisingly clean, except for the moths, and the spun bearings, but that top end was smoked.
Should not mix lifters up to late
We’re planning on using new internals, apart from the Crank. Otherwise we would have labeled and sorted for re-use. Thanks for watching.
