I still love these, but the models without the midrange on the overdrive channel are like a 3-legged mutt in a race against greyhounds until you modify the EQ and add the midrange control. It works in isolation from the tone shape that remains intact. *After that mod, they are one of the ultimate sleeper amps.* And for those in fear of a soldering iron and a PCB modification, you can just stick an EQ pedal or rack mount on the effects loop. In early March, I scored a Crate GX-212 for $70 in pristine condition and with the special series 12's that are packed with huge magnets and beast of a combo amp. *It's comparably loud to some of my halfstacks.*
I helped my friend moving and he gave me a bunch of stuff because he didn't have anywhere to take them. Among all the free stuff I got that day, I got this amp. And it is a pretty nice amp, quite loud for rehearsals. I got mine for free, but $90 dlls completely worth it. It is a fantastic option if you want a loud reliable amp and you are in the budget
Looks like a nice fun amp, like you said. I'm pretty sure you can get some good sounds out of it. Amps are always limited anyway in my experience. Maybe I never found 'the one'. Always reaching for that extra bit of bite or highs, or lows or wtf. Sometimes just need a bit more volume. I don't have that much experience though so take what I say with a pinch of salt. With any bit of equipment I own, hardware or software, if it can do one thing well, then I'm happy to have it in my toolbox. If it's fun on top, that's a nice bonus. I think you did alright there.
Nice amp Adam, you sound amazing as always!! Sorry I missed the live chat!! Looks like winter wonderland, thank you thank you for posting that!! I can’t even imagine that kind of weather!! WOWED!! 🎸🎸🎸🧜♀️🧜♀️❤️🎶🎶🏖🌺
That amp sounds really good!! I have the the small practice amp version of this. You're extremely lucky to have gotten that for only $90.

I have a GT212. Same thing but without the DSP and slight differences. What pedal did you use on the FX loop?

Seems to make less or NO Noise when plugged in peddle
It’s a cool amp especially for the price you paid. It looks like it’s in “like new” condition.
Bought one brand new back in the day, Sumbuck is everything I wanted and then some.
Could it be used for a keyboard, or bass
Can speaker outlet be used to mixer
I believe it can but I sold the amp last year thanks for watching
This is a really cool amp.
Happy Easter Adam to you and you’re family. Hope it was a fun day. Talk you soon. 🎸🧜♀️❤️🎶🎶🐇🐇🐇🌺
