Most people have Stiff BACKS, here's how to fix.

- How often do you hang? 🦥 Hanging from a bar is becoming more popular because it works. It helps release stiff back and shoulder muscles and improves the connection from your hand to your spine.
But another worthy form of hanging is the horizontal hang. This variation puts more stretch on your lat muscles and even helps you stretch the side of your torso, targeting those tricky-to-release muscles like the QL, obliques, and intercostals. Plus you don’t need a bar or anything overhead, just a sturdy object at hip height to hold onto.
Next time you wake up with a stiff back or need to stretch out your spine after hunching over a computer, give the horizontal hang a try. Let us know how it goes in the comments below. #shorts #youtubeshorts

but i dont have anyone to gently caress me while i do this
😂
Hahaha I noticed that too! I just thought aww these brothers are so close. And not in that way. Just close like they can count on one another.
I will
yes you do
Lol
My man has his hands on the product like a car salesman
😂😂😂
They don’t even have socks on💀
The product lol
😅
💀💀
Bro duplicated himself so he can make this video for us. What a man 👏
Bravo Vince
….make sure the bar is well secured. I broke a towel rack off the wall because it was not intended to bear that much weight.
Well…no. I wouldn’t think a towel bar could bear that much weight.
I hope this is a joke lmao
😂 that was a darwinian move
Don’t think the person who installed it thought you’d be hanging 150lbs towels so makes sense
I've never seen a towel rack designed to take more weight than a few heavy, wet towels and I've installed a fair few. Broken quite a few as well 😂
I thought it was the same guy and when you touched him I was like wtf this is some great camera work.. great tips👏🏽
😂😂 same
Same here 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Same 🤣🤣🤣
Bruh.. was about to say the same thing 🤣
I have just done this stretch, my back cracked into place and tbh I feel so good now. Best that I have felt in a long time.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That’ll be tree fiddy
God bless anyone who reads this, Jesus loves you
Did you have another guy lightly tickle while you did it?
@@jeffnarum1373 the tickle was the best part, felt like heaven.
I'm an inpatient Physiotherapist so we do a lot of assisted movements with patients. I stretch like this at least once a day at the nurses station and get asked what the heck I am doing but it feels amazing for your muscles. With that said, if you have back pain that isn't going away with stretching and plenty of movement, seek advice from a physiotherapist or doctor cause not all back pain is muscular.
I read "impatient" at first. Was thinking that was an interesting line of work for an impatient person
Lol, me too!!
@@BobbieTheFish still didn’t realize it until I read your comment, I’m my head I just said at least you’re patient with yourself
What other types of back pain exist??
@@yourfriendlyneighbourhoodl6206spine, nerve
I inadvertently discovered this a few weeks ago after my lower back was stiff from sitting for work, and this works so great to relieve that side and low back pain. Truly a game changing stretch
Thank you for sharing. I just tried it and it seems awesome.
Interesting. I came here to comment that I inadvertently discovered this horizontal hang years ago at the laundry drying machine 😅 With the door open and with my grip at the groove where the filter rests, I’ll hang and pull my body back, which not only feels good as a stretch but also provides relief as my thoracic pops and cracks - incredibly satisfying! Just note, there is a subtle technique to it..
HOW LONG DO I HOLD AND HOW MANY TIMES?
I would say listen to your body. That is what I do. If anything hurts then I ease back.
Personally, I try to get these in at least three times a day. Each set is 2 to 4 times. And then I don't hang very long maybe 20 seconds or so.
I incorporate these in with other movement snacks throughout the day.
Strength side is very cool and I have incorporated some of their stretches for my morning stretch routine. And they always promote to start off slow and ease into things.
@@reneejones5915 THANKS!!!!
I’ve been doing this for years lmao! It used to drive my mom crazy because she thought I would rip off our kitchen sink and now my girlfriend gives me a hard time for stretching on everything lmao. I feel validated, thank y’all!
Haha, yep. Not uncommon for my wife to walk in and find me stretching like this on the kitchen sink or the back of the couch and then complain that I'm gonna break something.
If you're doing this constantly you need to stop and start trying to get your upper body active. Stretching is good but constantly stretching the same area is not good...something isn't right
@@jsalas5400 oh ok so I guess working out and exercising 5 days a week just isn't enough huh? I need to do more if I'm stretching my back and shoulders like this. Gonna go out on a limb here and assume that you don't actually know what you're talking about.
@@darkh3lmet82 lmfao...dude if you are working out 5 days a week and you have the same exact pain/discomfort in the same exact spot and stretching is only a quick fix...there is something wrong. I'm not gonna sit here and give you why I know this and what my experience in the field of physical health and therapy is but I did go to school for this but you do you bud.......being sore after a workout is one thing, but it shouldn't happen after every workout in the same spot all the time.....sounds like a bio mechanical issue. Sleeping wrong, moving wrong, not doing enough varied exercise...there's a lot. If you want me to really break it down I will
@@jsalas5400 lol bruh...all that knowledge you possess on physical health and yet you still don't seem to realize that neither myself or the other guy ever mentioned anything about having pain. We just said that this is one of the stretches we like to do. You should probably work on your reading comprehension before giving physical heath advice to anyone lmao.
I relaxed several muscles just watching these gorgeous professional gentlemen. Thank you and continued prosperity to you both
I feel like you two really enjoy doing this exercise together. Especially when you get to make corrections to each other.
What's wrong about that, Nothing. 😊
This actually made me get up and do some stretches
this made me want to but i didn’t

This just helped me discover an imbalance. Pulling on my right arm with my leg back is needing some serious attention. Great stretch. Thank you
My physiotherapist taught me this years ago for gentle spinal decompression
as someone who suffers from chronic self imposed laziness... the best way to improve your posture while standing at work or anywhere is to widen your stance to 2ft or more apart. that discourages slouching and forces you to stay slightly leaned back to improve standing straight. and over time it helps increase your ability to stand all day
Thank you 4 this
thank u
Thank 4 the tip
Life saver
That doesn't work
Love how chill and relaxed this guy is
The humor & play interspersed with the knowledge is amazing! Incredible delivery guys!! 🙏these small daily steps and stretches to stay moving and nimble have helped me tremendously!
Was wondering if I could caress your buttocks next time you stretch, it'll help, trust me.
Wish I had a workout bro to keep one another motivated, thanks for the knowledge and keep up the great work my guys!
Yea I'll take both of these bros to motivate me 🤩

instructions unclear, my desk is in the living room now
I do this all the time to pop my spine back into alignment. My fiancé can hear the pops from the other side of the room!😅 I have metal rods from my neck to my hips and can feel them shift up or down when I allow my weight to fall off from my rods otherwise I’m in pain 24/7.
I have a cage in my lower back... I do this at the kitchen sink because I hurt so bad just standing in place or sitting for long periods of time... Never knew it was a thing...still in pain most of the time... Back pain sux!!!
So this is safe even after multiple back surgeries? I always thought cracking your back would cause more damage. My neck pops in like the c5-c7 area, scares the baJesus outta me.
My lats are KILLING me right now. I was doing the 2 arms but I appreciate you sharing about the one arm/leg progressions!❤
Legend has it that he's still holding up high on the bar. 😀
you can use literally any doorway to do the one arm variation. just grab the door frame at hip height and lean back. thanks so much for this idea dudes, this is definitely my favorite thing y'all have shown me.
Yo, i know you said not to try it, but that no hand hanging does wonders for back! Thank you for the tip
Yep. I do this! Acute back pain and this stretch really helps give me instant, though not long lasting, relief. Or I hang over the back of a high backed soft chair, standing behind it letting my head drop & arms just flop comfortably on the seat cushion. Ahhhhhhh. Ima go do that right now.......
I had this issue too. Its something you need to do consistently because you're also training your nervous system to not contract those muscles and let them relax which is the hardest part because you'll stretch and get some relief but quickly your nervous system has become so used to activating certain muscles it'll start pulling on those muscles again without you even realizing it. But if you do it consistently eventually your nervous system is also trained and it'll allow those muscles to relax. That's when the pain should subside. Hope this helps.
@@justaguy328thank you so much 😢
This is absolutely TRUE. My back is shot (spine) my muscles are tight, etc. I'm a mess but, this technique really does work.
Let it hang duuuude! The leg back to her side torso is an absolute game changer.
I actually cannot wait to do this tomorrow.
Kitchen sink.
Thank you!!! This is just what I needed!!!!!
I teach this stretch to my clients. I call it the kitchen sink stretch.
The no-hand hang leads naturally into the roll-onto-your-back spinal mobility exercise
Very good stretch. Thankyou
Thanks for all your great help. Awesome work brother 🙏🕉
Thanks for your generosity!
How long should you do this for? Could this help severe low back pain?
I have pretty chronic LBP, and have the luxury of a squat rack bar, but I still get pain in my lower back. I find dancing..Yes Dancing!.. totally free' sup the pain for a couple of days..Who knew right?
Also go down and stretch the lower back by doing your legs butterfly position I have horrible lower back pain! So when I stretch I always do what he’s doing and swing downward and open my hips up and stretch while holding on to the pole
Do a dead hang and a deep rest Squat!
When he said "no hand hang" I almost believed him 😂
I bet the cameraman looks like this dude too.
I love this way of stretching ❤
I prefer the horizontal hang. I have torn sacroiliac ligament so a full hang can become painful & make me feel unstable when I walk. I love the control over each area in a horizontal hang, dropping the head & chest between the arms feels fantastic.
oooooh, what are doing to heal the ligament?
WoW! I've never even heard of that kind of injury!? I imagine it's very painful. Wishing you a swift healing & recovery of full strength & mobility.
This feels soo good. And it's a refreshing change to see workout gurus with a sense of humor, and some lovely scruffy hair. Not to be superficial or anything
Thank you so much 💓 . Best excirse ever for Lowr back pain and back stiffness
Amazing! Tried this immediately after watching and it felt great. The one arm hang with the leg back feels great.
I always appreciate your cues. I don't have a bar. I've actually done some of this, but haven't done it consistently because I didn't realize how effective it can really be. Thank you! This is going to be a regular for me.
Whoa that horizontal hang is a game changer. Just did it and it felt like that stretch has been waiting for me my whole life. My pecks burn but its that good burn
I've done this for a long time, it always feels so nice to stretch those back muscles.
The last one is like parsva konasana, Ashtanga yoga. Good stretches, all !! Thank you so much
Next we'll demonstrate the two-man rocking horizontal hang !
I pictured two cumbia dancers accidentally getting to close to each other and knocking each other mid step 😂
Righteous I'm 41 now and I'm feeling those pains 😅 thank you
Yes! Helps me when my herniated disc flares up. Recommended by my orthopedist too.

Man I love your videos, they're such good tibits of information. Keep doing your thing bro big ups!!!
Good info! My back is tight often and I'm older now and do a lot of stretching.
Simple stretching will keep you young!!😊
At 68 I do hollow body deadhangs several times during my 90 min warmup at the gym. You just added more time to my warmup (and thank you!).
Thank you so much! This is super helpful, especially at work when I'm sitting at a desk at work most of the day.
👍I just came across this now. This is something I've been doing for years and co-workers look at me strangely. Haha. I would also prefer doing this with just a little bend on the lower back side to side. Works wonders
Well yeah when you gently stroke someone at work I'm sure your co-workers thought it was a little strange 🤔
Inspirational, mate. Well done, beautifully explained, and the "no hand hang" gives that smiling, funny sprinkling of spice to the entire video. So many thanks!❤

Omg I do this all the time!! I started doing it years ago when I worked in a hospital lab by grabbing the sink and hanging while waiting for my microscope slides to stain! It always pops my hips, and way back then before I started wearing barefoot shoes, it helped so much to alleviate my back pain. I don't have back problems anymore but I still do it sometimes because it feels so good. Glad to know it's actually a great stretch!
I’ve done this for my shoulders. I was trying EVERYTHING, every position, every massage. Depending on what kind of or where the pain is, of course.
That makes so much sense! Thank you.
Thank you so much your stretches feel great
You boys have phenomenal genetics and the perfect physiques.
I bought a TRX for working out while away from home. Once I got the app downloaded it has a bunch of these deep full body stretches. Has helped my alignment and strength tremendously.
I used to do this when I worked in a kitchen. It helped a lot to stretch after standing prepping food for hours.
Bro's balance was so good I actually thought for a moment that he was holding on a bar
I’ve been trying to get my wife to hang for months. Thank you for this much more approachable first step to make that goal possible 😁👍
