Drummer's name is Brooks Wackerman, former member of Bad Religion and Suicidal Tendencies, he's really really good, can never replace the Rev but he's got his own style and fit just perfect in todays A7X music
I found Avenged Sevenfold in 2011 and they’ve been my favorite band ever since. I love their old stuff but this album is also phenomenal to me. Matt is my favorite singer, and I think this song is just so beautiful. Also a side note, they formed in 1999 and their first album is from 2001
Became a fan when waking the fallen came out. I wouldn’t say this album is on my avenged sevenfold rotation but I do like it. Had a Pink Floyd feel, not instrumentally but lyrically.
"...This whole album is very different from what Avenged Sevenfold is." I respectfully disagree! They've been pushing the limits of "what Avenged Sevenfold is" since they put out Waking the Fallen. Then City of Evil was even more different. Then they put out an album with auto-tune, a Danny Elfman-esque song about necrophilia, and a country song. The point is, the only thing Avenged Sevenfold has ever really been is whatever they want to be (except for on the Hail to the King album; that's another story.) This album is just a culmination of everything they've built up until now. "I can't see old school Avenged Sevenfold fans getting into this." I've been listening since 2003, and I think this album is my favorite of all time! Not just in Avenged Sevenfold's catalog, out of every album I've ever heard. All that said, I really enjoyed watching along with you guys! Love the enthusiasm and passion. Can't wait for the next one!
The only people that are negatively surprised by this album's mixed genres, are the people that have only really listened and paid attention to their hits like unholy confessions, nightmare, Hail to the king, etc (all great songs by the way), but they forget that they have been experimenting with different genres since their first album, and they just kept changing their sound on each album. LIBAD is such a natural but crazy and cool evolution from The Stage. Nothing wrong with liking just their older stuff, but it is wrong to say that this is not like Avenged Sevenfold, when in reality this is as Avenged Sevenfold as it gets. These guys never cared to be just a Metal band, for me they are just a band that tells stories with their music, and sometimes metal is not enough to tell those stories. Obviously this is just my opinion 😅
I agree I’ve been a fan since I saw them in warped tour in ‘03. My favorite album is actually their b sides , diamonds in the rough lol The stage and LIBAD are amazing albums city of evil is on a category of its own and STST and WTF are great albums as well. Hail to the King has some great bangers too
In 2007 they released their 4th album. They started in 1999. First album was sounding the 7th trumpet and Syn I believe wasn’t on it. He joined after. Not my favorite album btw. But waking the fallen, their next album was awesome. Also I don’t know for sure but I think I read something that they did experiment with mushrooms on this album. Could be wrong.
you can really tell the syn was only on like 2 tracks from StST. the ones that have cool guitar parts vs. the entire album.. and Im not a hater of that album at all. I love the early punk hardcore shit they were after. chasing early AFI and what not. side note. the Rev made that album a 6.5/10 when without him would be a 4.
@@mealsonwheels4970 I’m not the biggest fan of STST either but i like to go back every now and then to see how they progressed. I’m not the biggest fan of the new album either but I do like it. I can’t deny how brilliant it is. Cosmic is one of my favorites on it. I’ve listened to the entire album in one sitting only twice. Second time I appreciated it more. And like many others when listening to some of the songs as singles like Nobody or We Love You I hated it at first. They definitely grew on me.
Death with the hour glass was him waiting for the next person to pass and the story is us going through different realms and not knowing what’s beyond us.. different realms and maybe being reborn
Mattel is an amazing song in my opinion, it’s more akin to the bands original style than another songs on the album but i understand why it can be off putting to some people. It’s message is one i deeply resonated with at one point, feeling that life has no meaning and that we’re placed here just smart enough to know that we truly know nothing. Cosmic is another absolutely beautiful song on the album, and even one of the best in their discography, telling a story of 2 souls meeting in different lifetimes, always meant to love each other no matter the outcome.

He 100% connects with what the band wants and I’m pretty certain this is exactly what he wanted to do. Not be confined to one style. To be let loose
Best band on earth
Thats a little too much. Theyre awesome, but not even CLOSE to best tho.
@@vagueofficialBest band on earth.
I love that their sound is different every album most bands sound exactly the same since their debut album.
def top 10
@@vagueofficialDefinitely better than what you consider best

I’ve been a fan of theirs since 2004 and I love that they’re always pushing the envelope. This album was amazing.

If you're not using quality headphones for this album, and especially this song, you are deeply missing out.
I keep saying this.
The bass, the drums, the guitar effects, the synths,... this album could be an audiophile's dream
TOTALLY!
I use skull candy crusher evos ......and i completely agree...... turn all the lights out and crank em full blast...........phenomenal

Ahhh. That makes sense
I’ve been a fan since 2003 and all I can say is they never disappoint! Rock on friends🤘🏽
Keep reacting to Avenged Sevenfold!!!
Can't wait to next reaction
My suggestion: Save Me, Set Me Free, Victim

Im old school a7x fan and i grew with them.. give me some syn and brooks and im good
Nice reaction guys. Seeing them in Columbus 3/26 they are awesome live
I saw them at heritage bank center in Cincinnati, they were amazing
Nice!!!
They wrote the album while doing controlled shroom intake. Not kidding, read their own posts regarding this!
Was DMT, and it was just shads and syn that did it.. Nobody is literally the dissolution of ego through a DMT trip.
Loved it❤
REACT TO “ A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN “ & “ NIGHTMARE “
They would be great videos 💯
Michael bisping and Dustin porier ?
dude, i think your dad need to listen to G/(O)rdinary/(D)eath sequentally, i wanna see his reaction, that would be interesting for your next upload!🤘
"violin"... mans that's four cellos...
Aint no way the entire Siberian orchestra is trans, it dont make no sense.
They are a talented band and I like their guitar sound but I just can't get into Matt's voice all that much!
Really?
Matt’s voice is amazing. Gritty but clean with a great range
