This is off their newest album, which is definitely a different more experimental take on progressive metal, imo. I personally love this album. I feel like they’re at a point where they know who they are and are just playing with sounds and what works with them and their vision. Love when they do journeys in their music. I would recommend listening to their first single off the album, “Nobody.”
You mentioned the word afterlife a few times. Avenged Sevenfold have a song called Afterlife that I suggest you check out. I highly recommend the Live in the LBC version. That whole show was a great performance.
idk why but this song had such a huge affect on me when I first heard it, it like made me really emotional for like a week. Wish more bands could capture this kind of feeling.
For the love of god if you want to react to other songs DO NOT use the recordings from the live at bbc or any other live show. They're great shows and im sure being there in person was great but its harder to hear the song and the lyrics and sometimes the songs lose their atmosphere in a live setting
Holy fuck you certainly took a crazy ride with your initial A7X experience. Jumping in on ALPOH then into Cosmic. You have much to learn, much to see, much to hear. These guys are unreal. They don't stick to a genre. There are no two albums of there's that sound alike. But they all sound like Avenged Sevenfold. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet they were 17-19 years old, it's a mix of Punk Rock and Metalcore. Waking The Fallen is very Metalcore and one of the best albums for the genre. City of Evil is a wild one and my favorite.. I consider it speed metal. It's fast and in your face aggressive. Face melting solos galore. Self titled is a Pop rock gem that many consider their best. Nightmare is a deep heavy metal album, written mostly before their original drummer passed away, tweaked a bit and recorded with one of the best drummers to ever play in his place. They dipped their toes into Prog metal/rock and take you on an emotional filled ride. Hail to the King is the dud for me. It is a great album. It hit #1, the songs are great but somewhat bland. The band said they were heavily inspired by bands they listened to while growing up. Recently they said they just wanted to prove they could write a #1 album and went with an 80s style stadium rock sound and well it worked. I respect if but don't care for it as I'd rather listen to original 80s metal and rock but they did well. The Stage... this baby is their masterpiece. After Their original drummer Jimmy passed away, they had Mike Portnoy record Nightmare and tour, then they filled the spot with Arin Ilejay but they didn't mesh well. Brooks Wackerman joined them officially and they released this banger. It's not my favorite as City of Evil has a special spot in my heart. But it is by far the most technical album they've done and it's very deep. It has a 15 minute song with world renowned astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson doing spoken vocals. Life Is But A Dream is everything they've done before but influenced by DMT. It's them making and playing the music they want because they're mature enough and financially stable enough to make art that they want to. It melts together elements of Slayer, Stone Temple Pilots. Daft Punk, Frank Sinatra, Chopin, Kanye West. Buckethead, Pink Floyd, Funk, Alan Holdsworth, along with that signature A7X sound. I'll suggest songs. The Stage, Exist, Unholy Confessions, Second Heartbeat, Trashed and Scattered, MIA, Afterlife, Lost, Save Me, Buried Alive. Also two live songs are a must. Critical Acclaim Live in the LBC and God Hates Us Live Rock Am Ring 2011 are monsters. Hope you enjoy your journey. (:
Dude, I love the way you talk about music! So pumped to dive into more of your reactions. If you haven't already, listen to this whole album. I really feel you'd appreciate it!
since you mentioned singers vocals i would suggest live LBC show it's considered their best live show performance and that was basically peak of singers voice from that live i suggest songs like: critical acclaim afterlife second heartbeat almost easy scream
The album is one that can be listened from start to end no problem. It's a great concept album about dying and the travel through the afterworld. This is definitely a high point of the album 🦆🗡️❤️
Great video chill n calm I like it… Few of my favorite A7X Songs Save Me The Wicked End Paradigm Stage )which was nominated for a Grammy award) Radiant Eclipse Buried alive Nightmare Not Ready To Die Simulation So Far Away Just a few of many!!! Thx good day n weekend to you n yours
Good review... I think most of this whole album was written about their old drummers life and his passing... The crazy parts in the first few songs I think were speaking to his crazy wild side, but he was also known to be musical very talented and always had a classy side to him as well. I feel like in a way it was his inner monologue in a lot of parts but also the bands processing of his passing. It has been a few years but you can still hear his influence in all the band members he was writing alot of their early songs. Miss Jimmy The Rev... very blessed I got to see him live twice 🙏 They have been my favorite band for 20 years now they are simply amazing and even better live...
This is one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. Ever. Rachmaninov, then this.

@@iamdondawson absomothafuckinlutely, great recommendations on top of it all.. btw i fully believe in Fermi Paradox being a top 3 A7X song
@@UhOh_ItzJDXFermi Paradox is one of my personal favorites. A super underrated song along with “higher” from the the stage album

since you mentioned singers vocals i would suggest live LBC show it's considered their best live show performance and that was basically peak of singers voice
from that live i suggest songs like:
critical acclaim
afterlife
second heartbeat
almost easy
scream
Don't forget "Unholy Confessions".
@@AfloatFob it's not my personal favourite but i respect it, first few times i heard it it was amazing but overtime it got kinda boring for me
@@snitchex5087 understandable, I cycle around their songs too. I think that kinda speaks for their range of genres, honestly.
Like others have mentioned, I would also agree with checking out some of the live in their LBC performances! Can’t go wrong with any of them
The album is one that can be listened from start to end no problem.
It's a great concept album about dying and the travel through the afterworld.
This is definitely a high point of the album 🦆🗡️❤️

Matt shadows wrote the lyrics of the majority of the songs.
More and ALL A7X, plz
I’m so glad you didn’t cut the strings early at the end that would’ve bothered me so much 😂😅
I love reaction video like this, next nobody please
Great React Dude , react "Save Me" by Avenged Sevenfold. It's amazing experience hear that sound .Greetings from brazil 🇧🇷 🤘🏻
This song is a masterpiece. I think this is about how their grief over losing The Rev has progressed over the years.
This song only gets better the more i listen to it
This song makes me cry and i have no idea why. Just really hits me
