@@DankPlankSam mee too. My firts try I feel really confused and I rated with a 7.5 the album but after few listens I give a 10/10 for the album, when you understand the concept your mind blow so far, is a really masterpiece. But yeah Cosmic since the first listen hits very hard 🤘
In my opinion, every avenged album has that one huge, epic song that just hits different and takes you on a journey. The Stage it was Exist, self titled it was A Little Piece of Heaven, Nightmare it was Save Me. This is that one huge, epic song in my eyes.
I feel their journey and how they're changed slowly, this is really great band i've ever seen. I listen to a7x in 2021 and being fan until now. I searching abt them and listen to all songs This is my only fav band, there is no other bands are good for me bcz my taste is just a7x. I'm new but i know their journey. I love when they were young and the old album, the lyrics are so good. For this new album is need to listen and feel deep in heart then i might love it.
The best way I can describe the feeling of listening to this song, especially that last two minutes, is feeling as though you’re watching the universe expand around you. See stars form, seeing other stars fade, seeing planets adopt moons, moons get a little too close and become rings, rings of dust and ice, watching stars die, seemingly just moments after you watched them form.
I don't know why, but when I listen to this song I get emotional remembering all of the friends I've lost.. Especially the one who introduced me to Avenged sevenfold in high school who passed this last year. I love this song so much..
I’ve never had a song affect me the way this one has upon multiple listens. I mean you have songs that hang with you but this is something else. Almost spiritual. It never loses its power, the more you listen the more it rips your heart out in the most beautiful way. I’ve tried explaining this song to people and you can’t. It’s an experience, listen alone first with good headphones…💔🚀 I think it’s the best song they’ve ever written. Never thought we’d go from Unholy Confessions to this but I’m here for it!!
Absolutely a masterpiece. It’s been years since I had this much of a deep emotional reaction to a song. I’m a bit of an emotional guy myself, so I can’t say I’m surprised at my reaction, but goddamn it felt so surreal. I was driving as I listened to this initially, and I damn near had to pull over to let the feelings take hold. Some will hate on this album, and that’s their opinion which they are fully entitled to, but in that same vein, I’m absolutely entitled to say this is genuine master work at its finest.
I feel it would ruin the experience on this song mainly because this song is an experience that everyone will perceive different and with a music video it leaves less interpretation.
i lost my grandma 2 days after they give us this album, and i went back from the cemetary driving alone and put this song to listen. Before i've already loved it, but in this moment, especially when he sings "there you'll find me, let it go", i cried hard, made me imagine my grand father alreasy dead calling my grandma, telling that she could stop fighting against her sickness and find him at the sky. Sorry people for this, i think i put it out. This song is perfect. Here in Brazil we call a song like this, a '' Obra de Arte", means a "build of art", it's like "masterpiece".
Thats what I've been saying about these guys. They never release the same things. Which makes them stand out. They've shown every time they're not afraid to experiment and hardly anyone else dares to go outside their own genre or style. Avenged sevenfold has never had that issue. They're just a bunch of talented friends making music or art rather. Even if you don't like some of them, that's okay. I definitely have a few I'm not a fan of but I love a few of them also you just can't deny how talented this band is.
Having recently lost someone I consider my soulmate, this song hits me in the core. It also goes with our philosophy on life and life after death and existence. Absolutely beautiful.
there will definitely be a moment when you're about to cry, the first time you FEEL the music and the lyric all happening in one time, for the first time, second time and even more when you pay more attention to the details!
I come back every month or so to jam along with your reaction. This song and your reaction to it just hits me for some reason. Chills every time watching you react towards the end of the song.
I don’t think people understand overall about this album, it’s an experimental album. However, I love this no matter what, I will always make sure to listen to this album from start to finish. The album and its songs connect together fully
Great Reaction! Metalheads hate it. Musicheads Love it. I think people will love the songs more if they listen to them minding the 3 dimensions of: Music, Concept, and Lyrics Love how they are heavily circling around Absurdism and Existentialism. Here are my short overview for each song. These can still be expounded upon as the lyrics have multiple layers to them : 1. Game Over - Meaninglessness of Life 2. Mattel - Reference to the Truman Show. Simulation/Illusion but in reality everything is predefined. Much like a continuation to The Stage album concept 3. Nobody - Realization that we are "one with the universe" and a "nobody" in the grand scheme of things 4. We Love You - Most say it's about capitalism. But I interpret the song as representation of human ego and the illusion of choice. Thinking about it, Capitalists only 'capitalizes' over human ego and greed to 'manufacture a need' (more more more...build build build...we love you...you're on in a million). Without these 2 human qualities they are nothing. Problem is, we cannot separate these 2 qualities to our humanity. Thus, in the end, we consume what they provide regardless. 5. Cosmic - Cycle of Life and Death. The idea that we are all made up of the same cosmic energy - we do not go away. We just take up a new form or has been in a different form in our past lives. Written in beautiful love song 6. Beautiful Morning - A character who faces an inner struggle and attempt to find meaning. This character they are trying to portray in this song is everyone's worst day of their life. 7. Easier - The same character who wants to Surrender. Suggesting to take the 'easy way out' (suicide). Uplifting music but sinister meaning between the lines. I interpret the random 'pew pew pew' sounds at the solo that the character has thoughts about taking that gun to the head. Again another cute sci-fi gun sound a contrast to it's meaning. 8. G - Referencing the story of Creation. And an irritated God is contemplating to just wants to delete what he made and restart. 9. Ordinary - Other songs talk about suicide, emptiness, meaninglessness, hopelessness, etc of human life. This song is an attempt to say that "you got a problem with life? I don't even have one and I desperately want it. you must be lucky to live" from an AI (thus the electronic vibe). This song is perfectly placed in the sequence of the album because right after it, the human in the next song commits suicide nonetheless without regard. 10. Death - Continuation of 'Beautiful Morning' and 'Easier'. The same character from those songs in the end commits suicide 11. LIBAD - Closing the curtains Everything is done with intent. It's chaotically beautiful. Pasting it here for new readers.

And you're right this song is a masterpiece, and has jumped to the top of my all-time favorite Avenged Sevenfold songs ever!
i think only true fans can understand the emotion behind this song. i mean, we have been listening to A7X since the Sounding the 7th Trumpet.. city of evil.. nightmare... httk.. and now this song. just.... wow!
If I had to take a guess at the structure of this song, the first part is like takeoff. Chaotic, intense, the build up to the explosion that launches a ship. Then it stops and the piano comes in, and I feel it's like they've reached space, and they're floating about, onward with their trek. Then there's this brief interlude, with the space/cosmic effect, that I think signals the moment of truth, their destination or purpose reached, and then the song kind of explodes again. Something has happened, a catastrophe. And as the song reaches that peak to me it feels like a call back home, a parting message so desperately yelled to loved ones. Hoping it will reach them. And then it's cut off abruptly, it glitches out like an interrupted transmission. And it's over. Fantastic song.
The people who don't understand this album and think it's garbage are wrong. They haven't listened to this type of music enough so it sounds strange to their ears. I think this album is a masterpiece \,,/

I agree, Matt's Axl Rose impression at the end hits you straight in the guts and the tear ducts. I love the whole album but this track is absolutely stunning.
Completely agree, I myself welled up at that end section - it's spectacular. That huge crescendo, the continuous build on the repetition. The last time this happened to me was when I first heard Halo on Fire by Metallica, during that end "hello darkness say goodbye" section. I'd even say both songs have that similar quality with their final acts. This song is one for the books for sure, it's the one I've had on repeat the most from this record.
I love how you can physically see the emotions this song brings out with anyone who listens to it. Especially the first time hearing you and you can't believe a song did that.
Imo their closest song to this one is Roman Sky. Very similar in structure and feeling. Tho I do think this one is indeed more emotional (and that is cuz Roman Sky is one of my fav of them). Next up would be Seize the Day, Fiction, and MIA I think
I 1000% agree with you! I love this song, and I’ve been an A7x fan since 2000 and spent lots of time grounded for sneaking out to shows, and it was worth every minute of being grounded! You should check out Roman Sky next.
So many people complain about any artist just rehashing the same sound over and over. Then a massive band does something like this and people complain.
3 months later and having the album on repeat everyday because I find myself not enjoying other music at the moment. On my first listen through, I was saying the same thing about the album, with Cosmic being my favorite. Over time, all of the songs have grown on me, but Cosmic still hits that cord deep in my soul and is probably my favorite song of all time at this point.
I'm a big avenged fan and I was nervous about the new album but it's got to be my favorite album and cosmic is a huge reason why. All of the songs I had to listen to several times for it to grow on me. I think that's because there's so much going on in each song that it's impossible to listen just once. Cosmic is perfection.
As soon as the spacey guitar hits and you get the finale…I like to think thats the music that would play when an anti hero has finally rid the world of all evil and takes chance to sit and look at the world before dying…knowing he died doing evil to allow the world to live in peace, while coming to peace with himself and God.

especially as Rev's gone this shit just hits hard , ppl get too much mad about Fx and autotune that they like nope , and i just dont get it . This song just the holy grail man .
By far the best song on the album! The whole album is great though. The ending to (O)rdinary and how it goes into (D)eath makes me laugh everything because it's so strange and perfect.
On first listen, I thought the song was good, not great. I wasn’t in the right head space. I heard M. Shadow’s interview where the interviewer brought up the response to Cosmic at their Area 15 album listening party. I was still trying to absorb the first few tunes. On my second play through of the album, I put on my earphones. I was sitting at my kitchen table and as this song came on I focused hard on all the instruments. Syn on guitar, Brooks on the drums, Johnny on the Bass, Zacky backing up the goat and Shads just bringing the moody lyrics. I remember closing my eyes, got the vibes of Exist, the thought of life, death and infinity. Then as the song pushes you toward that glorious crescendo; I thought of all the loved ones I’ve lost and hope to see again. How one day I will be on the other side of the veil and Shadz saying, “I’m gone” brought it all together. I fucking weeped. Like ugly cried. Goosebumps. This song is perfection. Couldn’t agree any more. God damn I love those guys for this one and many more!
Bro, if a7x in the previous track on this album not making the experimental thing, the little weird effects in this song will be disturbing, everyone may not liking it, but in fact that they made many effects in this album, that little effect making it spice for this song, making it absolutely masterpiece
Great guitar work here.. well rest of album is gonna shock you again, its something diffrent again, and honestly, not my game exept a little of it.. i forgot Beautiful morning comes first, thats a nice one to..
on the DL ..... I've listened to this album at least 4 times today after getting my physical copy in rhe mail 2 days late.... worth it 11:40ish bro i can't count the amount of songs that get me in the feels, but it's a lot 😂😂
still ever searching... the heavens and the earth. the seas and deserts, for a song by A7X that sucks. As my journey continues, I have yet to discover the suck, but will venture on to find a song by A7X that sounds like the mudd i desire.
10:13 The moment Buffalo sauce meets ranch
that 'IM GOOONE!!!' hits you in the nuts hard

God damn I love those guys for this one and many more!
i dont know why they not perform this song in their live concert

I cried more during this song than during my divorce
Bro, if a7x in the previous track on this album not making the experimental thing, the little weird effects in this song will be disturbing, everyone may not liking it, but in fact that they made many effects in this album, that little effect making it spice for this song, making it absolutely masterpiece
Rewatching again this reaction, this is the best Cosmic reaction bro, even though u not like this album 😆
