Hey! taking smaller thin sections can help with finding your guide. Keep up your practice and watch tutorials over and over until all the mechanics sink in. There are alot of moving parts when cutting. Eventually it all becomes second nature
I dont usually cut round layers, i mainly combine them with other layering. As round layers can look quite ugly. This is a standard layering technique hairstylists must know. If you wanted to cut long round layers you would do exactly the same process. Placing your guide length can be done working from the front. take the section direct it over the face and decide the shortest length

I like square shape layers. Too fast to see your partings?
Hey Susan, you should continue to watch my latest tutorials. They are more informative and a lot slower for you ua-cam.com/video/MRjWglNSM6s/v-deo.html
I struggle so much with this cut I always end up losing my guide 😭 (I’m still in cosmo school learning but I wanna get down the basics already)
Hey! taking smaller thin sections can help with finding your guide. Keep up your practice and watch tutorials over and over until all the mechanics sink in. There are alot of moving parts when cutting. Eventually it all becomes second nature
How do you cut the round layers when the clients hair is longer?
How to know the length of your shortest layer?
I dont usually cut round layers, i mainly combine them with other layering. As round layers can look quite ugly. This is a standard layering technique hairstylists must know. If you wanted to cut long round layers you would do exactly the same process.
Placing your guide length can be done working from the front. take the section direct it over the face and decide the shortest length
@@HairByJamesAnnabel I have to cut a client tomorrow who has curly long hair. I am a bit scared to be honest. I wanna keep the length, but also vut some shorter layers to make the curls pop without ending up with a long mat on the bottom. Amy video suggestions for some inspiration?
@@zion367 I would watch my square layers or long layers tutorials
@@HairByJamesAnnabel thank you for your tips! I appreciate it! ❤️

Thank you so much

Thank you for watching
Has anyone been able to do this on your own hair successfully?
Hey Shaina, I would love to see somebody try to attempt this haircut for them self. This haircut is hard for Hairstylists to cut successfully. This tutorial was created for hairdressers or for enthusiasts to cut their friends or families hair
Would have been nice to see the cut before you feathered it and curled it.
this was the previous haircut before i cut it, ua-cam.com/video/cVG91UYUu30/v-deo.html
Are hairdressers too lazy to do this cut these days because no one seems to be able to do this.
Sorry to hear you have had bad experiences. Where are you located i may be able to direct you to a good salon or hairstylist
To fast.
sorry for that, i was still learning how to film and edit. Please stick with me for better videos coming soon

@@HairByJamesAnnabel i like your tutorial but your way of teaching is pretty much harder n soo fast mean you don't show clearly n explain about the sectioning of the hairs while video is goin on very fast so it make harder to better understand🙄🙄😲
