0:44 it does matter because camelot is the singularity before babylonia and in that singularity you will find out who is the heroic spirit that fuses with mash. Since it's camelot will focus around arotria and the round table and it's only 2 movies.
18:30 the 1st singularity, 20:10 the 2nd singularity, 20:45 the 3rd singularity, 21:11 the 4th singularity, 21:30 the 5th singularity, 21:55 it's on the 6th singularity (the camelot one), the 7th singularity is babylonia. 23:55 in fgo there are several god servants, you will meet them in babylonia singularity.
To be fair last I remember, it’s never really referenced once in Babylonia and if anything THIS episode would’ve been the spoiler one so overall it’s not mandatory for the sake of viewer experience
2004 is when the 5th holy grail war happened in FSN. Currently, in fgo, they are at the year 2015 (or 2016 i don't remember)

If enough people feel the same then I 100% don't mind pausing Babylonia and watching through Camelot first.
I was just left with the impression that the watch order wasn't a big deal except for Solomon which should be watched last

@@CloudyCrow Well not really since camelot is the 6th singularity which is just before babylonia. It also has some elements regarding mash which are very important (and unironically follows better this episode 0 than babylonia does xD)
Just a warning, the first camelot movie is not well liked but the second one is one of the best movies that fate ever had (to me it's even better than heaven's feel)

The words being typed on the screen in the beginning were part of the summoning chant seen in Fate Zero and Fate UBW

Camelot is the 6th singularity and should be watched before babylonia, things revealed in that singularity are important going forward (particularly to do with mash).
There are also some things set up in camelot that are paid off in babylonia. Some concepts and characters established there are relevant going forward.

18:40 you wont find out, babylonia is the 7th singularity and the ones that are shown there are the previous ones, that aside from camelot the 6th singularity, have no anime adaptation.

@@waydebelgrave-haynes855 u right but it’s Fate bro, billion$ franchise, they already did us astronomically dirty by giving us a mobile game ad for the first chapter with mid animation & ignored the rest up till Camelot. When fucking garbage like demon slayer gets a perfect adaptation & I guarantee genshin will get a perfect 1 too. the same could be said for Babylonia the animation is generally beautiful but theirs so many weird looking frames(enkidu’s chains not even being fully animated vs Gil for ex) plus all the cgi vomit. Like why can’t they look as consistently as good as the mobile trailers the mandala trailer artsyle would be perfect. Then the directing leaves a lot to be desired, besides the story. For ex the vanilla version of the llamu attack we got. & how we coulda had such a sakuga feast of a well choreographed fight between king Hassan & the bell llamu. Instead they ended his whole career why can’t every fight be as well directed as salter vs rider.

And regarding the animation and direction for Babylonia I definitely think you're being spoilt about it. Most anime series can only dream of looking as good and being as well directed as Babylonia is. Nitpicking scenes that are largely irrelevant won't change that
Also asking why they can't look consistently as good as the game ads is pretty stupid. The game ads look so good because they are extremely short. Do you have any idea how much budget and how long it would take to animate a full 21 episode anime of that quality throughout its entire runtime? There's literally not a single anime out there of that quality.
I STRONGLY suggest watching both Camelot Movies BEFORE Babylonia. There are spoilers in Babylonia about important characters that are not explained/glossed over as it expects you to already know certain information!
Good observations about Jeanne D'Arc and the Saber with similar looks to Artoria (... technically that is not specific enough, "Saberface" is a whole category of Servants ...).
Gods, as we learn in FGO are a little complicated. They can (under most circumstances) only manifest as Servants when making a Pseudoservant (though there are other workarounds, such as tagging along a summoning of Hero strongly connected to them, deified humans explicitly manifesting as their human self (Heracles technically is one of those, since he became a full god after his death), bodies engineered specifically as hosts, or being a very weak god or a god that was demoted to something else in later (common) retellings of their myth). Mashu is Demiservant, which is a little different from a Pseudoservant (how they work compared to Demiservants you will see in Babylonia ...).
6:17 actually mash is a Demi servant which in a way is in inversion of a pseudo servant. A pseudo servant is when a heroic spirit possesses a host body for their own purposes. A Demi servant is the opposite where the human summons a heroic spirit and puts the sports essence into a vessel which is what they did to Mash with the spirit they summoned.
It’s more so similar to the class cards from the illya series when they install class cards to inherit the ability’s of the heroic spirit of that particular card.

23:55 Sadly, God or Divine Spirits can't be summon as Servants. They can only become Pseudo-Servant by possess human body (not like Mash though, Mash is Demi-Servant that borrow power from Servant by contract).
4:29 slight correction basically wat happened between first order and this one is that she’s had the heroic spirit inside her this particular time is when the soirit was shoved in her body and she only transforms because they were pissed about this whole situation.
What happens in first order is just then finally saying fuck it and helping her out
7:50 correct as long as there’s a general association between catalyst and servant it basically makes the summoning of that specific servant possible
However in the case of mash her shield is a generic catalyst that’s effectively pulling any servant out the throne

4:30 in case you didn’t discover by the end of the episode basically from this moment till the first order incident the heroic spirit has been dormant inside of mash the whole time. Unwilling the aid Chaldea but stays in mash in order to keep her alive.
Summoning with a catalyst, more chance of getting a heroic spirit that is tied to that catalyst. Summoning without a catalyst, more chance of getting a heroic spirit that matches your personality. Though in practice, the environment also acts as a secondary catalyst, ie summoning in Japan results in more chance for a Japanese servant, like we see with Caster and the Fake Assassin.

In the first scene where Mash goes rogue it is actually the heroic inside her thats controlling her body. The heroic spirit understood what they had done and got mad after that incident the Heroic spirit lay dormant and asleep within her only to wake up when Mash was about to die (shown in First Order)
Too bad we don't have an Orlean singularity as an anime adaptation because i actually think it's pretty important for Mash's character where Mozard ask her:"would you be willing to do something evil if that could save your sempai?"
Now that you watched episode 0 of Babylonia, i reccomend watching the 2 Camelot movies, since those adapt the 6th FGO singularity while Babylonia is the 7th

I'd recommend watching Camelot before Episode 1 of Babylonia tbh because Camelot is the 6th Singularity and Babylonia is the 7th Singularity (watching this Episode 0 before Camelot is fine though)
And idk if you've seen Fate Apocrypha yet but watching that before FGO Solomon would also better just because of the Servants that appear there

It's actually insane how some stuff that was shown in this special episode 0 is still yet to be properly revealed/explained in the current story of the game today. Just goes to show how deep the lore of Fate can be

Fate Apocrypha should probably be watched first before getting too deep into other Fate Grand Order since there will be Servants from that that will appear in other Singularities, it's where many of the Servants in the end roll come from, including Jeanne/Joan of Arc
I domt mind him skipping Apocrypha. At this point i jist wanna see him react to Babylonia

You should watch Camelot first. If you remember in first order Mash doesn’t know how to truly activate her shield bc she doesn’t know its actual name. She learns it in Camelot. It’s not a huge spoiler in Babylonia but the story will assume that you’ve seen it and won’t bother explaining it to viewers.

Nope! A ton of people were saying I should watch Camelot first so I’ve been working of that. Movie 1 is on Patreon but it’s taking a while to edit/upload here because it was such a long recording

Camelot is way more boring than Babylonia and I don't think any of it matters. Fate watch order is overblown, people are gonna disagree with me but ehhh it's like watching 56 marvel movies just to get one reference 🤷♀

@@Gumshoe08 if it was like the Emiya/Archer reveal I'd understand, but I watched Babylonia before Camelot came out and any info that was supposed to be revealed I was just like "oh cool, so that's why"
