This list isn't really that factual, there has never been actual rankings of anime openings ever beside maybe lately with youtube and online surveys, so the guys just made it up, the only way to actually have a slightly accurate rank was if he based it on song sales but I doubt he did
6:19 *WALESKA EFRA I'VE BEEN WANTING YOU BOTH TO LISTEN TO L'ARC!* Their vocalist is HYDE, he's AMAZING. L'arc-en-ciel's whole discovery is FIRE! You definitely should check them out! They're one of the legends, they're the first ever Japanese band to ever play at the Madison Square Garden in New York!
Sasuke and Naruto weren't against each other personally. It's just Sasuke found out that his family's destruction was caused by the very village he served. He became vengeful. Naruto always wanted to be the savior of the Konoha village while Sasuke wanted to destroy it as revenge, so they were against each other on principle.
In GMA, they were playing Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, Slam Dunk, Yokai Watch and Doraemon like next to each other so it basically was my childhood. Then after that Attack on Titan and Kantai Collection started then it went on to today where i basically finished around 30ish animes
First anime I remember watching was Voltes V and Voltron. Yes, I'm old. I was around 3 years old, late 80s. I just now realized, that a lot of the animes that I enjoyed in the 90s were actually 70s anime. Candy Candy, City Hunter, Lupin III, I thought there were 80s anime. 90s to early 2000s were actually the peak of anime popularity in the Philippines. There were a lot of animes that were popular in the Philippines at that time that not many of current anime fans would even know.
Check out the performance of The Resonanz Children's Choir, from Indonesia, who sang a song called 'Janger' (Balinese song), and they won the 2018 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing.
Watching my first anime ever is also my first memory that I still have to this day. The show's Toshou Daimos, it's from the 70s, and it's still phenomenal to this day.
My first anime was most likely either Pokemon or Fist of the North Star. Back in mid 2000s, DVDs were huge in my country and I'd always play either of those with a CD player. Only after High School that I regained my interest in anime with Hyouka in 2019 and I binged Naruto during pandemic in 2020 and have been obssessed with this medium ever since.
As kid growing up with duped anime to arabic, nothing beats the dramatic arabic sound with really good and classic singers, with lyrics that cut into u deeply with how poetic and powerful they are And many of them seem to speak about sad Holocaust that is still happening till this second with our sibling Palestine
my fist anime in Mexico even before they know the term "Anime" back then was "the big eyeds cartoons" and was two from "Manga no kamisama" Osamu Tezuka, Princes Knight, and Triton of the sea.
My first anime if we count movies was Ponyo, but if we're talking series it is Inazuma Eleven, it was called Super Once here in latam and I was obsessed.
First anime started watching was definitely sailor moon. Songs that got me to learn myself how to sing japanese. It was Full Moon wo Sagashite and Mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch.
My first anime were Doraemon, shinchan, dragon ball , pokemon . It used to air in indian channels in 2000s and 2010s . At that time i didn't even know something like anime existed 😂. I used to call these cartoon. It was due to many indian youtubers because of whom i came to know about anime, Japanese culture etc around 2017 -18 i guess . I first completed death note then naruto , mha , jujutsu kaisen , aot , op . Now i am waiting for demon slayer season 4
During my younger days, my favorite was the opening and closing song of Voltes V (read five) and Daimos. Julie Ann San Jose did a cover of the Voltes V opening song in Japanese language.
Iconic anime songs that are not included in the video starting of with 90's (bangerz) -Magic Knight Rayearth(Yuzurenai Negai), Zenki(Vajra On!Zenki), RANMA 1/2(sweet soul), Ghost fighter, Gundam Wing(Just Communication), Samurai X(Sobakasu), Slam Dunk, Flame of Recca 2000 - Hunter x Hunter(Ohayou), Fairy tail,
My first anime was most likely films Ghost ship and Macross. And from early 90th our TV start showing Sailormoon and Sally the witch. That was begining of my journey)
We need more full openings with their lyrics I recommend the endings of samurai champloo, opening of spice and wolf (the old anime), and those of Mob Psycho 100
We're all waiting for you to react to the 30 years old band song 'Obak Bhalobasha' from Coke Studio Bangla and I bet you'll be blown away! Trust me, it will be a great treat for your ears! Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
The one who made this video was woefully inaccurate basically. For example, Cowboy Bebop was virtually unheard of in Japan and the most popular anime ops in the mid 2000s were from Macross, whose songs even reached Billboard Japan like today's LiSA, Sawano, Radwimps, etc.
I'm here again to recommend L'Arc-en-Ciel's music. Because it'd be a great disservice to them and to yourselves if you don't check their stuff up since Waleska seems to be interested in their vocalist's voice 👀 I recommend their lives most especially, I think one of their best performances is called 'flower'. But I mean a lot of their songs are good, like Driver's High, Dive into Blue, Heaven's Drive, Blurry Eyes (the one you saw on this video)... They're great live, most of their songs are composed by Hyde himself but their bassist and guitarist also compose a lot of their music, even their drummer helps compose songs. *L'Arc* is one of the top best selling music artists in Japan and two of their albums are some of the best selling albums of all time in Japan as well!
Definitely check out L'arc en Ciel! Icons of jrock, and Hyde's timbre is truly one of a kind. Some great lives on YT like My heart draws a dream, Blurry Eyes, Seventh Heaven etc.
I don't know if this will be acknowledged or not but there is a Gacha Game called Genshin Impact that has done a fascinatingly good job at creating some very good music with influences from Eastern and Western culture. Since the game also has an Anime aesthetic, I thought it would be appropriate to say it here. If by any chance this is seen OSTs in the bellow list displays some Indian, Middle Eastern Instruments quite beautifully. My first anime has to be Pokemon, Digimon and Beyblade!! They aired around the same time on some channel in India(cant remember the name now). Before I even knew they were anime!
my first anime was robotech n.n, i was around 4 or 5 years old and my older siblings used to watch it, i was just there. I didnt understand most of it vecayse i was too young xD, but i liked anime ever since
Firstly, I am old lol so I'm not sure what my first anime was because I was more into manga back then (I used to read a whole lot of mangas). Probably Doraemon. I don't watch a lot of animes, I occasionally watched Naruto, Bleach, etc when they aired on the tv. The first anime that I watched all the episodes that I became obsessed with was probably Inuyasha.
I only started watching anime in 2019, I remember starting with Re:zero and I didn't like how Japanese sounded so for the first 6 months I didn't have any sound whatsoever when watching them (Just remembered I watched Avatar the last airbender about 12 years ago, it's kinda and kinda not anime tho)

Apart from the mainstream like naruto, pokemon and dragonball, we had Digimon, YuGiOh, Shaman King, the OG Pretty Cure, Gundam Seed, Hamtaro, Grander Musashi, Mirmo Zibang, Tsubasa Chronicles, Zoids, Daigunder, OG Fruit Basket etc are some of my favs 😆❤

Hard to believe but I think Shinchan is actually SEINEN
Mine was Heidi (Ghibli Version) which I didn't realise until a decade later counted.

intro and extro of Voltes V and Daimos, ghost fighter ost...
Probably the most popular anime opening that year. You dont even see fairy tail around here and one piece was only in 1999.
Apparently they're not popular enough. Even death note, gintama, and haikyuu's opening ain't on this list
They are reviewing a video about the "most popular anime opening songs in every year" not the most popular anime in every year.

Holy shit, that Bleach opening sent me back in time! It was the first opening I heard. I was so so young. Bleach remains my most favorite anime still.
