I am right there with you all. 32, and this has been and will always be one of my favorite bands. I cannot wait for this new 80s inspired album. Cannot wait to go to a goddman show!!
I went for a walk with my boyfriend last night, who has never heard AFI, and started playing this. The first thing he said was, "They sound like 80s punk." They did nail it!
Top 10 favorite albums include Black Sails in the Sunset, The Art of Drowning, Sing the Sorrow, and December Underground. Crash Love was my falling out with them, their new stuff just doesn't stack up imo. Those four albums will never get old. To each their own though, great to see the band has been able to adapt to new audiences through the years. They're all smart, talented individuals.
Sounds like they're putting hunter more forward in the mix than previous albums. Or maybe it's bc I've heard most of it on phone speakers. He's going hard on this album either way.
Both this and Dulceria are total mindblowers. I love how each of the songs we've gotten so far sound relatively distinct from one another while still maintaining remnants of their elders (I hear a lot of Decemberunderground-like influence meets Blood with a dash of Crash Love). So excited to hear the album in full.
I like how this song has End Transmission vibes. Don't think this is my favourite, that would be 'Begging for trouble' but things can change. Regardless, i'm liking this new direction that AFI is taking on the album. It's different and not something I would have ever expected AFI to do.
One thing I love about AFI is their growth over the past decade. They've created such a fantastic sound that grows off of what they've done before while still being new and interesting!
Definitely getting some Cure, Depeche Mode, Smiths, New Order, Echo and The Bunnymen vibes here. I dig it. A LOT. I've been a fan of AFI for almost 30 years and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
This song just raises my heartbeat like crazy, and I don't know why. I LOVE IT SO, SO MUCH!! I've loved AFI since I was 15, now I am turning 33 this year, and I love them even more than back then. AMAZING!!
Can’t believe how good this song is 🖤 thank you AFI for another amazing album, I can’t wait to hear the remaining songs! I’m sure they will be just as great as the ones released thus far!
Favorite song on the new album. This deserves a music video. Maybe because this resonates with me and feels like it has ties to Sing the Sorrow and Crash Love
how have they aged so well yet kept their dynamic/classic emo experimental vibe in tact? Most bands this age lose their sound chasing change and new fans.
Been fan since i was 10 I'm 31 now still love these guys my favorite band then and still are Afi forever
I’ve been a fan since I was 8, discovered them on Guitar Hero III, now I’m 21 and still love their music.
I'm 37 this was my first show at 15.
In 39. Saw them for sing thr sorrow tour. Love these guys!!!
I am right there with you all. 32, and this has been and will always be one of my favorite bands. I cannot wait for this new 80s inspired album. Cannot wait to go to a goddman show!!
Have you guys checked out Dreamcar? I love them too
Damn they are nailing this post punk/80s vibe. It feels like a fresh take on that sound.
I went for a walk with my boyfriend last night, who has never heard AFI, and started playing this. The first thing he said was, "They sound like 80s punk." They did nail it!
Wow, haven't heard AFI in years but this new wave 80s sound is amazing
That "the cure" sound still strong!! I like!!
Killing an Arab
Now that it's mentioned I'm just now noticing now much Davey sings like robert holy shit
YEEESSSSS!!!! This is the exact vibe I was hoping for from them! Indie/goth that gets me in my feelings
Right!? We known they’ve had Postpunk, goth, new wave influences for a while now, but THIS imo should have been released first!
I think this is my favorite of the new ones. It sounds almost like it came from Crash Love.
Top 10 favorite albums include Black Sails in the Sunset, The Art of Drowning, Sing the Sorrow, and December Underground. @@Tuoni996 You should give the blood album a listen.
@@Tuoni996 shut your mouth and open your eyes was amazing as well. A single second is my favorite AFI song of all time.
Crash Love? I don't hear that. Definitely much closer to Burials. Listen to the guitar on 17 Crimes and listen to this. The songs sound like sisters.
I hear a little of crash love and all after on each new song myself.
Giving me Cure vibes. Cool song.
Same, it’s so awesome!
Their greatest influence, check out their cover of just like heaven
Also they liked Soft Cell I’m sure as well
Duran Duran vibes too.
I've loved AFI since I was 14, I'm 32 now and am passing on my love of the band (and endless amount of AFI shirts) to my 11 year old. 🖤
Sounds like they're putting hunter more forward in the mix than previous albums. Or maybe it's bc I've heard most of it on phone speakers. He's going hard on this album either way.
I was wondering if he is using a different bass on this album? Is it just mixed differently? It sounds so much more resonant.
The songs are definitely less guitar driven that’s why.
@@Lilyyyisqueen That but also the tone itself cuts through really nice and clear
@@jamieforrest7043 who took the jam out of your donut?
He is bass yeah? Afi always had good bass leads but I cant disagree.
One of the best bands everrrrr
So glad AFI is still around!!!
As an AFI fan for 20 years, this very well could be my favorite song to date. Seriously.
Agree. They were the first punk band I ever saw in Green Bay WI. And this reminds me of their roots.
Both this and Dulceria are total mindblowers. I love how each of the songs we've gotten so far sound relatively distinct from one another while still maintaining remnants of their elders (I hear a lot of Decemberunderground-like influence meets Blood with a dash of Crash Love). HELL YEAH!! AFI is back!!! Man the world just became great again fuck yeah
AFI yesterday, today & forever!
This is going to be a live staple for years to come.
I like how this song has End Transmission vibes. Don't think this is my favourite, that would be 'Begging for trouble' but things can change. Regardless, i'm liking this new direction that AFI is taking on the album. It's different and not something I would have ever expected AFI to do.
This kinda has a Rabbits are Roadkill vibe and I am here for it. I will eternally be Despair Faction, and I am really loving this track.
Afi forever! I had all albums. Shirts. Lip ring too.
💜A FIRE INSIDE💜 FOREVER
I feel these songs...
Gives me chills Everytime. AFI forever ♾️
Hell yeah new AFI this is the best day ever AFI for life
ok NOW we are talking. This song is great. Loving the arrangements from Hunter!
I’ve been listening to AFI since I was a baby and I still love them to this day
This is so good! It's like crash love, burials and the blood album all mixed together and I love it so much.
One thing I love about AFI is their growth over the past decade. They've created such a fantastic sound that grows off of what they've done before while still being new and interesting!
Crash Love was there worst. It's more like Crash Trash!
Definitely getting some Cure, Depeche Mode, Smiths, New Order, Echo and The Bunnymen vibes here. I dig it. A LOT. I've been a fan of AFI for almost 30 years and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Big 'Crash Love' energy, I love it!
AFI has always had my heart 🖤
this album is gonna rule! every song that has come out so far slaps
Getting Greater than 84 vibes
Same, love that vibe from them.
this band can make anything and its amazing
This song just raises my heartbeat like crazy, and I don't know why. I LOVE IT SO, SO MUCH!!
I've loved AFI since I was 15, now I am turning 33 this year, and I love them even more than back then. AMAZING!!
I love that pronounced bass and jade's guitar is so melodic over top of it
I missed this band. Dig the song as well.
You missed them? You say that like they broke up and got back together or something. They've been active since 1995. They haven't stopped in 26 years.
Love,love,love,love
I get so sucked into yalls music. The new album is really great.
Can’t believe how good this song is 🖤 thank you AFI for another amazing album, I can’t wait to hear the remaining songs! I’m sure they will be just as great as the ones released thus far!
two seconds in and it's already a bop.
Great song!!!! I’ve seen AFI twice in concert. Can’t wait to see their music live again.

Poesía para mis oídos
Yooo this is between Decemberunderground B Sides and Crash Love. Soooo postpunk and I fucking love it 😍😍😍
Love the guitar work & tone! Reminds me a little of End Transmission but maybe levelled up or something.
and I see what people say about 17C with the abrupt start into straight up rocking out
Love this sound. Afi still love ❤️ I think forever in love to this band ❤️🌞
Excited new material! So far love all the songs released
The OG's are back! Love to see it 💚🤘

Wooohoooo! Love AFI! 🔥
This is awesome! Can't wait for the new album to drop.
2021 AFI still has it 🖤
Thank you AFI 🌟
Awesome band
I love this new old sound
Favorite song on the new album. This deserves a music video. Maybe because this resonates with me and feels like it has ties to Sing the Sorrow and Crash Love
This album is amazing.
It makes me smile knowing this is the same band that made Self Pity, well different bassist and guitarist but whatever…I love AFI
This song is phenomenal guys!
love it!! AFI new stuff is great!!!
Ugh, I freakin love his voice
2:06-2:13........part should be way longer then 7 seconds. Catchy as hell
It’s the chorus guitar part. It continues right after that, but I agree; that riff is so catchy!
how have they aged so well yet kept their dynamic/classic emo experimental vibe in tact?
Most bands this age lose their sound chasing change and new fans.
the cure "a forrest" meets u2 "new year's day" , nice mash-up song!
Through the green door
So siick🔥 Go Davey Havok !
Great great song!
Awesomeeeee
Damn been a while since iv herd these guys!!
AMAZING 🖤🔥
It's no black sails in the sunset ...but it a really good song ..sure the album will be great ..glade these guys are still making music!!
Found AFI bc of Madden games in the mid 2000s the Leaving Song II is f*kn amazing
I love you, guys. Thanks for everything.
they aged like fine wine
AFI simply cannot write a bad song...ever.
Yes they can! I've been there since the beginning!
I like this one probably the best out of the recent released songs...🤷
Shaping up to be in my top 5 AFI albums.
Im have to agree every track so far has been really strong this is in my top 3 anticipated releases this year
