Adopted since birth, raised in a heavily religious southern household, feeling like an outcast is all too familiar for me. I’ve dealt with depression and suicidal ideation my whole life. Bert and The Used have helped me through tough times many times over. After losing my best friend I grew up with tragically and falling into a deep spiral, followed by a breakup of a ten year relationship, I have tried to dig myself out but I’ve kept going deeper, now finding myself feeling so distant and disconnected, along with sadly a cocaine addiction. Finding this song is something I didn’t know I needed but am grateful regardless. I am fighting for clarity. I am fighting for a place in this world. We all have our battles, but we need to find our solace such as this to remind us there’s still hope. I love you all. The band. The music. The people reading this also fighting the fight. Stand strong. We can conquer.

Loved the video! Love this song. I think they put it last on the album for a reason. The whole album is about how you've struggled with fighting your demons and became your own worst enemy in doing so. You reminisce on how you used to be before all the damage. And at your lowest, you feel too far gone to ever be saved. When you're about to give up completely (yesterday I woke up wanting to die), you find a reason to save yourself. You see a glimmer of your worth (in the cracks of the pavement). The Used will always be my favorite band. They tell stories and convey how so many of us feel inside. They represent those of us left behind by society. This album is one of their best. ❤️

My mom died 9 months ago, and when I felt the lowest I thought about how she would always be there to pick me up and how she wouldn't want me to succumb to the emptiness I was feeling. The grief was the only thing guiding me, and slowly like a flower growing, I've been finding myself again. This song always makes me cry since it's everything I've felt in this new place I've been in. Im not giving up on me, I can't and I won't.

I haven't loved a The Used album as much as this since my scene days back in high school of 2008 - 2009 or so. Back then I connected so much with the lyrics and tunes with my struggles back then, and today now in graduate school this album evokes such similar feelings. Love ya Bert, Jeph, Dan, and Joey! I've been in such a dark place recently. Even thoughts of self harm that I haven't had in over a decade. I decided to listen to The Used on Spotify and came across this album. Holy. Freaking. Shit. Exactly what I needed to hear at the exact time I needed to hear it. I saw The Used for the first time last October and it made my teenaged emo self so happy. And here I am in my mid 30s listening to their new stuff and it's helping me out of some severe postpartum depression, this song specifically. And its gonna give me the courage to really talk to my partner about how I've been feeling. Thank you to The Used for being here for me since the early 2000s. You helped me through the angsty teenage years and are still here for me now.
