I seriously didn't like anything after Decemberunderground until I saw them on the blood album tour and they completely blew me away. I love all their new stuff now and am so glad they're still making music! Truly one of the best bands of our time

I got to see them live during the Blood Album tour as well at the Riviera in Chicago, and HOLY POTATOES they ROCK harder than ever!!! I got up to the front and got to hold Davey's hand while we belted out Miss Murder, and I am youtube somewhere helping pick people up in the mosh pit and throwing a dude like 15 feet haha. Fun times!

Saw them touring The Art of Drowning with no less than Zero Down(for all you Jim Cherry fans out there.)playing a dive of an arena in front of 200 dedicated fans screaming Days of the Pheonix like we could all have died that night. Drove 1000 miles for the Death of Fall tour for Sing the Sorrow release. One of the best shows Ive ever been a part of. Through the following years when the SoCal holier than thou punks bashed the new sounds, I bought em all. And to me, this album, Screams, The Fire Inside never died. AFI never went anywhere, And somehow we still missed you.

I like how the two songs AFI have released so far seem to be both in the direction AFI has been (Twisted Tongues sounds like something from Burials), and a new direction that AFI is going (like this song). Both are great and I can't wait until we get the full album! These tracks sound fresh!
I’ll admit it took me 2-3 listens, but I really dig this new sound. Feeling a “Burials” vibe, albeit not as dark. Nicely structured track too, i love the bridge out.
AFI has really shifted in style over the last decade. But they still resemble themselves while moving with the times. Really do believe that they represented a generation of punk/rock that spans over 2 decades.... Not many bands out there can say they've been there for that long.

The only similarity I hear to Dreamcar is that Davey is on vocals. Otherwise the sonics aren't similar to anything on the Dreamcar album. But if you're spelling Dreamcar with a space, you're probably just not very familiar with their stuff, or don't understand the difference between the guitar playing, drums, bass, and other sonic elements that make the two quite a bit different.

And it's just fact that this doesn't sound like Dreamcar other than Davey being the singer. I'd be really interested in them specifying which Dreamcar tracks they think this is similar to.
