It's good to see Charlie return to the world of Survival Horror. Are you excited for The Keepers Diary? Watch the trailer here, ua-cam.com/video/oFlUsbXNLQE/v-deo.html - If you enjoyed this video, please leave a LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for more Resident Evil! bit.ly/ROEsubscribe
Great!
So is the Keeper's Diary teaser getting a full short film or is it just meant to stay a teaser? I understand Charlie is reprising his role as Chris in another project along with Eric and Greg, is that it? Any chance Inezh would be involved??
Very cool. The original actor helped propel what would become one of the most famed survival horror games in this century.
Interesting interview with the originals actors of the fiesta RE; is one of my favorites. Thanks for the background music
Hay JJ n Team ROE is someone pretending to be you guys saying I won a prize? coz I kinda don't believe it, I've nearly be caught out before, and I'll never let it happen again
So happy to see the original actors getting the limelight they have always deserved 👏
Yeah and like most people, they had no idea back then that they would be so recognizable. I'm sure a lot of them just signed on for a paycheck, having no idea what Resident Evil would turn into. Or the following it would create.
@@Miasaint10 Completely agree, can you imagine being one of them all those year's ago signing on for what you thought would be a just a random project/paycheck only then to discover year's later that you were apart of the beginning of one of the most iconic/successful game franchises of all time.
I completely agree, im so happy to see these interviews and seeing History of it all 🤙
yes😊
The PS1 is still 100x more better than the movies and the Netflix show.
"NOOOOO! DON'T GOOO!"
Goddang, this guy was a huge part of my personal journey into survival horror.
Came here for this comment
That line hit hard
That was dubbed by Scott McCulloch, and unfortunately, he's died about 20 years ago confirmed by Barry Gjede (Barry's original voice actor)
@@ohmyitsvy lmfaooooo yeah it did dude. Was hilarious but if you imagine being in that situation you're like holy sht no lie
@@conmane3341 The same voice of Richter Belmont in Castlevania SOT
The original old school veteran Chris Redfield himself y'all!
Smoker
I'm always fascinated at how the original cast had so little idea of how big the world they helped craft would become.
He's a major part of history. Thank you, Andrew.
literally. they were apart of a project that would change the world of survival horror games forever
This is so cool! I remember just a few years ago, RE fans around the world were scrambling to track down the classic RE live-action actors. Fast forward a few years and most of those actors have been located and they are getting heavily involved in the RE community and showing real love and appreciation for the fans. What a time to be alive!
Chris Redfield is personally my favorite video game character all-time..this guy nailed the part in the original..so many memories!
Same bro, Chris is my all time favorite fictional character and it all started with this guy.
My favorite RE character too. First time I played RE in 1998 was RE1 on the PS1 directors cut. Played as Chris. Nostalgic for me.
You can’t kill me!
Leon Kennedy is the one that got me into law enforcement.
@@rc59191 My dream job/career is to be a police officer (I'm only 20 right now) and I have to credit Chris and Leon partially because of it. So I'll be able to say the same in the future 👍.
What a well spoken, nice mannered outgoing guy. Would be nice if he got more work.
yes a real genius-mind ,the problem i see now is how hard the pandemic world beaten the actor´s look
@@PEPSIMAX2013 he just got old, happens to everybody. the resident evil live action was filmed around 1995-1996 so it’s been around 25 years.
This fan film will beat any RE film that has released in the last 20 years.
Not to knock you down, but the Romero trailer for RE2 did that before there were RE films.
@@Elvisbackpack Well, Romero was a genius and the godfather of the zombie genre, and his script for the RE movie is amazing soooo... Yeah, Romero is the best. Period.
@@jackelrikuroso3945 lol his script wasn't amazing it was better than what we currently have but it was very flawed and added so many things that made no sense.
@@rc59191 I might be wrong but that entire mess seemed like a teen school film project then somehow his name slapped onto it for credits and sales boost. But then again there are lots of films like that I seen his name on it while the movie itself was trash. Awful acting or better say lack of it, no direction, inconsistency all over and the special effects child like, overall like someone made a parody of a horror movie and in the making of they all praise it and treat it like it's some kind of treasure in the film industry. I was like do you have sight, hearing and common sense at all? WTF is this even ...
Equally a movie can have great visuals and acting but misses the point of the actual story or butchers it to the point it's like why even bother.
And the things like ''well movies (or insert anything here) takes time and money to make... give it some respect bla bla bla'' that is such an idiotic and backwards mindset. Like yeah let me serve you dogshit and then label it whatever but hey I took the time to wait the dog to take a dump collect it etc and serve it to you! You better respect the effort... right?! NO, F_k off!
Cobra Kai vibes! Luck to you all
Imagine just realising you were a part of resident evil two decades ago and just starting to be a fan. That's mind-blowing.
It must have been a big surprise for the guy to find out he's larger than life to a lot of people
This guy is the start to my all time favorite fictional character. So cool that he's getting some attention.
O M G i didn't know he was going to be playing Chris again! I'm so excited because the Redfields are my favorite characters in Resident Evil.
he is not going to be Chris because is too. old. now, he is now the keeper
@@krauser18x he is also playing Chris. In another fan story.
@@krauser18x there's two fan films being made from what i understand and one of them he's playing the Chris Redfield from the VIII timeline.
@@krauser18x Chris is old in the games now, too.
Wow this is so cool, Charlie sounds so happy and thrilled to be acknowledged for his work on the original Resident Evil game, absolutely so happy to see this, hope Capcom themselves work with the original actors like this too :).
Memories from our great childhood coming back. Charlie will always be the one and only Chris Redfield, nothing beats the original from 1996 and the actors that gave life to those characters in that unforgettable intro.
Agreed! It's been about 26 years. So crazy to think that, seems like it was a lifetime ago and am just so thankful they found Charlie and Greg. I figured it was next to impossible to get the whole original RE live-action cast together but hey, I'll take this easily lol 🙆♂🙆♂🥰🥰
Really awesome you guys!!! Go Charlie! I hope we get to meet up one day!
Original & REmake Chris' meeting up?! That sounds EPIC!
That's the original R.E.1 PS1 Chris Redfield! So iconic!
Thank you so much for this 😍 Charlie the OG legend of Chris Redfield ! Cant get better than this
Thank u charlie . a big part of re history playing as the original chris
its so cool seeing all the people involved with the original game! its nice because thats the one i grew up with! i have been really enjoying pablo Kuntz (weskers voice actor) and his videos! Its amazing that so many of these actors are only just discovering how iconic their work is!
You will be pleasantly surprised with an upcoming video
@@andrewsaullo o man just seein the keeper teaser got me hyped ! U sir are an amazing director,u did more for live action RE than Hollywood ever did,i can't wait for the full release of said movie (fingers crossed its least 40 mins worth of nostalgic goodness) ! 😁❤💪🙌
Kuntz? ... loool
Classic RE1 is probably my favorite RE game besides RE2 and I STILL play it to this day! Masterpiece!
Phenomenal. Nostalgia overload.
Chris / Charlie omg from that time on Resident Evil 1996 you haven't changed, continue as before. I was a kid back in 1997 , 8 year´s old i guess so many people from that time really wanna hear you talking or givin and interview. So glad to see you. Your character as Chris made my childhood and i still play the original game since 1997. By the way my name is Saulo without the two LL, and the interview uploaded here is august 10, my birhtday is august 9. Coincidence i don´t know haha. Reading fãns comments, folks who played back then are going back in time.I really enjoyed this interview, and the people from the residence of evil channel for this great opportunity.
💯
This is something special 🥲Charlie is a superhero from my childhood, best Chris Redfield!
Great interview, guys. So excited for all this stuff.
Still looks good enough to play chris in live action in my opinion just gotta give him the right make up and hair products
I agree
Yep.
Even after all the resident games and the remakes, nothing compares to the day I entered a now defunct store called Media Play and playing a kiosk with the original Resident Evil and shortly after playing the game at home. Such great days back then.
Man Charlie still got the Chris look but his voice sounds like Wesker almost
I'm pretty sure they used different ppl for the voice acting back then
@@Chronologo yeah the actual voice of Chris in RE1 was Ramsay Scott McCulloch, who also voiced Richter Belmont in the English PS1 version of SotN. Sadly he died in a traffic accident in 2000
True.. the original title is BIOHAZARD no Resident Evil
amazing, just amazing ! it’s gives me genuine joy to see these actors again doing well 😊 and continue to give us RE content after so many year’s…
Wow, what an exciting presentation. Love the passion of the filmmaker. I'm all in for this.
Seeing all the OG actors returning all these years later is Amazing 😄
It is a great project. I would like them to try to contact Inezh (Jill) or Rebbecca (original), with Pirius and the original Frost. Barry could also participate. it would be epic.
This could be 'fake news', but a few years ago I heard that 'Inezh' was located and contacted, but she had no interest in doing any interviews or being involved with the RE community. She said she was just trying to live a normal life and didn't want to be bothered or be involved in anything. Again, not positive if that's true.
@@DeadPixel1105 yeah I think I heard either that or she refused to respond and people interpreted her refusal to be for that reason, which of course could be right or it could be that the contact info that was found was incorrect.
@@DeadPixel1105 I had a major crush on Inezh back then, and if those news are true, it would be quite disappointing, even though I understand wanting to have a normal life. Thus, I think it would be a good idea to get Julia Voth to play Jill in a future project. She seems to truly love Resident Evil and she was an amazing Jill in Resident Evil REmake.
@@GrimmShadowsII Inezh responded but said that FOR NOW she isn't interested in giving interviews, she's busy being a mom or something.
Linda\Rebecca on the other hand was very excited about being part of RE after all these years so maybe she would be interested in doing something with the OG actors again.
Frost is still unknown, he's the last one that is yet to find.
This was a wonderful interview, thank you very much guys :)
CHRIS IS BACK!!!! Amazing interview, I'm very happy to see Charlie, Greg, and Eric together again. Hopefully one day the other actors will be part of other projects too.
King, you're my first Chris Redfield.
Thank you for my best childhood memories 🙏
Great Interview! Let's hope the fan film works out!
This is badass, thank you!!!!
So glad these actors are getting the praise they deserve. To this day when I picture Chris Redfield I always picture Charlie. He seems to be such a genuine human being.
Great interview.
Me:WAIT! DONT GO!
That was an awesome interview! It was so cool seeing the original chris again. I also didnt know they were making a fan film i cant wait to check it out. Thanks for always keeping us informed with the best resident evil content on youtube JJ 🤟
Can you imagine if they brought him back as the face model in RE7?
Wouldn't be mad at it lol
It would be way better than whatever the fuck Chris looked like then, lmao
Wow, this is amazing! Thanks for getting this together.
Awesome!! Love to be on board with this!! 👍
It's so nice to these RE actors to not only get an opportunity to return to the world of Resident Evil after so long, but for them to see how passionate and dedicated the Resi fandom is to make sure these actors understand just how appreciated they are to bringing the original Resident Evil to life back in 1995.
I cant belive this. Barry...Chris... It's just so nice to see you guys again, brings out alot of emotions.
Great interview with the original Actor for Chris Redfield! Can’t wait to watch “ The Keeper’s Diary.” ❤️☺️
is there a link to donate to help with the production of this movie, we should all be throwing money at it to finally make a FAITHFUL Resident Evil film!
I bought resident evil 2 when it first came out (I was 17 at the time) and have been a diehard fan ever since.
Omg, I never thought this would happen in real life.
Andrew, thank you. We need more people like Andrew in the world.
What a time to be alive 💜
Thanks so much for interviewing the cast! Absolutely love that Charlie is back into the Resident Evil world! ❤
It would be awesome if they could bring all the original actors from the original RE/BH and do most or all the roll in the messages in the game.
I wish they could find the other actors!
They found Barry Burton. He’s an Australian teacher who was just wondering the streets of Tokyo at the time
I saw an interview on UA-cam with Eric Pirius, the live-action actor of Wesker and the voice of Wesker, Pablo Kuntz have been found.
I'm so EXCITED that this is happening and just overjoyed that Charlie Kraslavsky was not only tracked down lol, but AGREED to be apart of this 😲 Welcome home, Chris!! Lol 🥰🥰 I remember playing the first Resident Evil game in 1997 as a 11 year old kid and just fell in love immediately, partly because of the interesting live-action intro which even today, you just don't see much of. Chris Redfield is easily my favorite character in all of the Resident Evil universe. I'm really looking forward to this short film happening. Godspeed to all involved 👍🥰👍
I can’t believe how old Resident Evil is now. One of my top 3 favorite gaming series. So many good memories. It’s cool to see people from the original cast
More invested in this trailer than that shltty Netflix series lol
what an exciting presentation
This is so BADASS!!!! LOVE IT
Thanks, ROE!
This is absolutely amazing. This has inspired me as a video creator to want to make my own Resident Evil shorts. I can't believe you were able to get the original Chris!!
This is a beautiful and special interview. Thank you for bringing this. If there is any possibility to also have interviews with the other live action actors for Biohazard, those would also be fun to watch.
I love this - thank you!
This project is looking fantastic and it’s great to hear from one of the OG actors!
This takes me back to my youth and got me into video games great interview thanks for this history lesson into the world of residents evil.🧟♂️
Look Chris.
I'm itchy to see this amazing production!
I feel like Charlie could easily be a Wesker voice actor.
It hurts me not to see Leon, RIP Paul haddad
This sounds very interesting. I think the original intro and other cutscenes from the original game pretty much were a Resident Evil film from the very start - one that was authentic to the game because it was already part of it - so it always seemed like a good template for new live action adaptations.
yeah if sony werent so stupid we wouldve had a great adoptation from George Romero
Just want to say a big THANK YOU!
I am so grateful to see and hear legitimate RE fans like this who have so much love and passion for the original story.
I totally agree with Andrew here, not here to slag off the movies but all we have ever wanted is a movie which is related to the original game. After the Paul WS Anderson, welcome to raccoon city and now the Netflix garbage it’s such relief to see something like this being made for us fans! Take a bow Mr Saullo 🙌🏼 I cannot wait to see this movie!
So impressed to see the commitment and budget for a fan based film like this and am very excited to see it. And to get Charlie Kraslavsky involved is simply just the icing on the cake 😱.
Would love to help!
Is there a go fund me page??
Nice to see og Chris after all these years. REmake music is so good as well.
Thank you very much for giving us fans something great! Please make a full movie one day. Maybe do it in episodes.
This is amazing!!!, great interview friends!!!.
Can really tell how passionate Andrew is about this project and Resident Evil in general... unlike the majority of those involved in recent big budget productions for the series... Really hope this takes off, what we've seen so far looked better than all of the netflix series/WTRC combined.
my life is now complete
I've just recently subscribed and I love your channel. I've been an RE fan since it first came out in '96, 11 years old watching my dad play, the original intro is so iconic and to see you guys talk to Charlie is awesome. I'm so happy to find others who love this series as I do. Keep up the amazing job, can't wait for the keepers diary
I am so excited to see this franchise as soon as possible. The long waited.
That's crazy how he did not know he was apart of a huge franchise like Resident Evil. Wouldn't someone tell the cast?
Oftentimes with games, motion capture actors or face models are not told what game they're involved with. The face model for Marvin Branagh in RE2 Remake, for example. He said that he wasn't even told what he was being used for. He just showed up to the set, did what he was told, got paid, and left. It wasn't until after the game released that he realized his face was used in Resident Evil 2 remake.
I can't say I'm that surprised the live action actors weren't the in-game voice actors, unless I remember wrong, so there was only the intro that was 2 minutes tops and then the endings that were maybe a minute long each and they were credited just by their first name so even people that knew them might not have realized who they were due to short amount of screentime. The actors themselves weren't really given much if any info at the suit itself.
its because it was a small gig back then. RE wasnt a big thing they basically was testing a new ip. hey had no idea if it would catch on or not. So for the actors it was just a quick one day acing gig to make a few dollars and forget about. pretty sure they were only paid around 50-100 for that one day gig. So they showed up, ,did the part, got paid and went home not thinking about it anymore.
@@atdorianisart9132 Yeah that's understandable, but Resident Evil has novels and hollywood movies. You'd think they'd hear from someone or something earlier. It became so mainstream.
Just to add on the earlier comments, In Japan, the franchise is called Biohazard, and not Resident Evil. Charlie mentioned it in the earlier part of the video. As he said, he is not a gamer and during that time, Biohazard/RE is just up-and-coming horror game. Another factor is that the actors' real names are not listed on the credits, and it took the fans of the game years before they found the real identities of these actors (until now the girl who played Jill in the OG RE game is still a mystery).
It's so nice to see Charlie participating in this kind of projects, and it's even better that now he has a better understanding of how much fans appreciate him and the OG cast.
Wow, straight from my childhood. So cool.
Well there's something I didn't see coming - ROE, Chris and my boi Andy!
Keep up the great work. I am big fan of Biohazard 1996.
Weird, he actually kinda looks like he could play older Chris too 😂
Charlie will be remembered as chris forever.
I'm really looking forward to this.
I'm so happy to see the years of this project's effort finally bearing fruit! Chris Redfield is my all time favourite protagonist- Tu es Genial!
100% agree with the last guy and love his passion for the franchise!
Hey Guy's They should be had him play as Chris Redfield 💪 on the RE Welcome to Raccoon City film in my opinion it's good to see him alive and well much appreciated thanx guy's im a huge Chris Redfield fan 👊
That one scene along with the menu sequence is still better than any other RE film or series.
This is pretty cool, looking forward to watching it.
I want Inez interview.
Don't we all.
Same. It’s weird they found everybody except her…
The one and only REAL CHRIS REDFIELD!!!
This man is a bad ass ✊🏼.
Along with Solid Snake, Simon Belmont, Mega Man, Scorpion, Guy (Final Fight), Arthur Morgan and Ryu Hayabusa, Chris Redfield is one of my favorite video game characters of all time.
Especially Charlie’s interpretation of Chris Redfield.
Yeah, I almost didn't believe it was him when I saw this and SO glad it is! Shout out to Andrew for largely making this happen. Hope to see more OG Chris! 🥰🥰
I love your channel & all but this is the best video you've made.
So glad big John Travolta is doing these things.
Stupid jokes aside. Andrew is a legend. :)
🤣🤣🤣
When the original Chris voice sounds like Wesker's 😅
So glad the original actors are finally able to connect with the fans.
Supa excited for this!! 🔥 🔥 💯
Hey Jo have a nice evening! when I was watching your video and saw Chris Redfield in the interview, I was simultaneously playing RE Director's Cut on the good old PS1 and playing with Chris, but shortly before he had seen the uncut intro video again in color. And since my childhood I thought that was and is one of the hottest game intros of all time!!!. Greetings to all and I'm looking forward to the "The Keepers Diary" wish you good luck and above all a lot of fun!!! Pogo ;-) ;-) ;-) Itchy, tasty ;-)
It was a good interview I really enjoyed it.
I remember back in primary school when I borrowed the PS1 Resident Evil off a friend for the first time and seeing that iconic intro I'll never forget it.
Let's be honest, the best movie of Resident Evil that we will ever have is the intro to the first game. Period.
