same here, rough idle, my mini is R56 2008 Year, didnt have much power when you go highway, needs more fuel i think.....my fault code is P0141 o2 sensor (sensor 2 bank 1)
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience! I was trying to save some money by using some aftermarket parts. In my case, somehow the thermostat housing was perfectly working so far. I bought one from amazon and looked pretty much similar to the original. :) I might be lucky! By the way, do you own Alfa Romeo? My first car was a 96' spider and I pretty much liked it, regardless it is reliable or not.
Great job removing that electric wire housing gives room to work on removing the sensor! Will remove and clean both the sensor and the cat with crc throttle cleaner
Hello mate i have a problem with white smoke from exhaust and he loses sometimes a bit of power (mini one 1.4 90hp 2008) but there are no water/oil leaks. New glow plugs, filters, oil coolant
Always diagnose first. There could be many things causing your issue. Run a scan with an ODBll tool. You may have warn valve seals, your fuel mixture could be rich (check fuel trims) or you may need a new PCV valve, bad rings (compression test) or head gasket( look for exhaust gas in antifreeze fill or do the chemical test) Best of luck
Code problems point to circuit problem not necessarily sensor problem..sensors do go bad butt Butt.....dirty engine...or. Less maintained engines or wear good mileage engines....cause Multiple problems...by tightening up...specifications.....flow of pressures is monitored by computer....resetting codes after copying to record......maintains your record but resets limo mode..or what is known as reduced power mode....when YOU thinj it's a serious mechanical problem which is actually a small leak. The emissions controlled state of dealers n manufacturers and engine users.....want you to FIXX.
The sensors or emissions control system should directly help DIY to identify failed parts and circuit But it's designed to HELP....using CODES. Never let government help... Because it's a Racket. When in fact they could a designed sensors to isolate the exact part or parts or problem so WE always know.
I have Cooper S r56 when I start the car in morning it rough for 20 to 30 seconds and I have check engine I replaced spark plugs and 2 coils (cylinder 1,2 ) because I have misfiring in these cylinders but I didn’t replaced injectors and I didn’t check the O2 sensor. Do you think the problem with O2 sensor or something else? Thank you
I had a misfire in 1 cylinder and after replacing all four plugs no misfire warning came on. Regarding rough idle, it can be a separate if you still experience. It can be rather complex, but I would start with oil change, O2 sensor, and if still happens I will look for the air intake. The first two should not be too difficult or expensive.
@@gompro4943 thank you and should I Diagnose the timing chain because I took a video when I started the car (cold start) and a lot of people said I should check the timing chain immediately! what do you think?
Amazing video! did you have the same "check engine" issue after this replacement?
Hey bud ...brilliant vid...just a quick one..what are the two leavers ..with LESHP wrote on them .

Thank for informative videos!
So nice of you
Sometimes they can be very sensitive to some parts, unless you use the original parts. One example is the after market thermostat!

Hi! This part was the upstream sensor right?
Hello, Did you have a smoke issue before changing the sensor?
I also have the same vehicle. yes I have the smoke issue
How do you unplug the 02 clip? I’m not seeing what side I need to push in to unplug it
I wanted to see the symptom
I don't want to see the symptoms again! If I see in the future will upload it.
@@gompro4943 lol I know bro but before replcacing parts ppl wana see also symthons in my toyota it turned out to be the ecu

I would check O2 sensor and plug. GL!
Head Gasket needs replacement.
Do a compression test first

Did it fixed your issues after putting new sensor
It became much powerful. I am so happy with this fix. Strong enough to slip my tires :)
NiceWork!
How did you pass your smog check?
I think it was okay.
