Good stuff. My Toyota with a 1GR-FE has 4 cats and 4 O2 sensors. Ran rough with poor fuel economy. Swapped out all 4 O2 sensors - both secondaries were outputting OV (I was fortunate enough to have access to a scan tool) - and it now purrs like a tiger cub. Just like it should.
Was your Toyota running bad before swapping the 02 sensors? I have an 05 Chevy Silverado, just swapped out the transmission and a few other parts. It ran good for a day but today it just wouldn’t give enough power, it would stay at 4k rpm at 60 mph. Had a check engine light and the only code that came up was 02 sensors. I’m wondering if replacing the sensors would fix my problem.
@@707area Just a general feeling that it wasn't quite itself. Nothing like what you are experiencing. In all these situations, my rule is if it isn't right fix it as there is often multiple causes that combine to make all the symptoms. Thanks for confirming that a bad O2 sensor may not cause a check engine error code. I believe my 17yr old sensors are sluggish so monitors will not set. Installing 4 new ones tomorrow. Thank for video.

So basically after watching videos on camshaft, crankshaft and oxygen sensors i came to conclusion they all give the same symptoms which is kinda annoying while diagnosing the problems 🤦 nonetheless great videos man:)
Lmaoo I’m having an issues right now I had a code p0725 for the tcm in my 2012 g37s I swapped the engine crankshaft sensor codes gone car drives fine the next night drives like shit almost shuddering on the way home when I would give it a little throttle get home scan it now I have a code po138 p2a00 after installing test pipes 😂

This helped me confirm I had a bad oxygen sensor. CEL came on for bad O2 sensor, but it went away after a couple days. Decided to order a new 02 sensor anyway. Car's been shaking slightly in idle and has had worse performance even though the CEL is still off. I'm gonna go ahead and install the new sensor after watching this video. Thank you.
@@nosajsamaniego4512 Yes. No more shaking, performance restored and no CEL. I recommend checking ebay for an affordable O2 sensor before going to Autozone or somewhere similar. Just make sure you know exactly what type of sensor you need.

Straight to the point and my vehicle is having all the symptoms. You'd think it would be a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump from losing power, hesitation, High RPM rev limits and transmission shifting issues. I do have the CEL on and it is the Bank 1, Sensor 1 Upstream. Going to chang it out today in Hope's it will resolve all the issues it's having. Amazing how one little sensor can reck havoc on your engine...
Hello I have an 01 Buick Regal 3800 supercharger my car is also have the same symptoms. I’ve replaced my battery, an starter. radiator does have a slow leak! Any ideas? What could possibly be going on?
after watching this. i replace my o2 sensors it fix my problem. my truck is now feeling like a truck should. the mechanic i took it spent 4 hours then told me i needed an overhaul on the engine.
You just gave me a whole new perspective here, no codes but idles rough at stop lights like a misfire! This option of replacement is cheaper than a set of 8 fuel injectors! Gonna give the test a try!
@Jay Yoyo still having the rough idle with no code.. updated both valve covers, plugs, wires, coils, intake manifold, map sensor, cleaned MAF sensor.. so I don’t know. I have 4 o2 sensors which are all reading within specs so I’m at a loss.. I may have to get it to a shop for a more detailed scan.
@Jay Yoyo I checked all injectors when I changed the intake manifold, I don’t have any loss of power. This truck does have a fuel control module so I’m thinking it could be that.

Well I got more I fo out of this than anything my mechanic told me. My CEL came on but went off with new IAT sensor but it still surges, idles rough in gear only, and strong smelling exhaust. Then poor gas milage and stalling at stops in gear. Every single symptom I have is here. I am replacing it asap. Thanks for the vid it helped out a huge amount.
Been waiting for friend to bring over a meter to change mine for sure but after that bit bout the idling I'm convinced that's my issue so thanks man. Thanks Pal! Gonna change it out now in my 2013 Beetle Tubo. Getting horrible gas mileage...106,000 miles. Just had a tune up and required maintenance, new tires, front end aligned and still poor mileage.
I don't clean mine, I replace them! And I don't follow the 100,000 miles rule. I follow my own instinct. I change mine every 45K to 60K miles depends on how I abused my work truck in a daily basis. I replace 2 of them because my work truck only have 1 catalytic converter so there's 2 of them 1 for upstream and 1 for downstream. I always putting brand new OEM Genuine parts from Nissan, oxygen sensor. After I replace them, I'm also cleaning up the throttle body, MAF Sensor too, and the Air Filter as well since I got Volant Cold air intake on my Nissan Frontier truck. And after all that I'm gonna check all the 6 Spark plugs, if they're still in good condition then I'll leave it there, but If one of them is messed up then I'll be replacing all 6 Spark plugs. So I'm all done replacing the Oxygen Sensor, also checked and or replaced sparkplugs, cleaned/inspected the Throttle body and MAF sensor, then I'll be checking the Fan Belt check/inspect and or replace If necessary. And the other components and parts like water pump, pulley, Fuel Injectors, Transmission Gear box gear oil change, Clutch, Differential Fluid Change, Radiator Coolant check or change, Radiator check/Inspection/ and or Replacement if necessary and so on and so on will be follow up in the next maintenance schedule. this is how I conduct my preventive maintenance on all of my vehicles that's why my 2010 Nissan Frontier Nismo 4.0L V6 (VQ-40) Turbocharged 6 Speed Manual transmission truck is now at 713K miles. Still going strong and still have tons of power and torque.

My malibu check engine lifht came on for engine bank lean and it has a rough acceleration and my car feels heavy on acceleration then before. I already cleaned my maf sensor but still fees the same. You think it could be the o2 sensor?

Could this be responsible for an rpm drop on a cvt from 1500 to 1000 accompanied by a low rumble sound while ascending a hill? No check engine light on and this is the only issue. The rpm drop only lasts for 1-2 seconds then ascends normally

My malibu check engine lifht came on for engine bank lean and it has a rough acceleration and my car feels heavy on acceleration then before. I already cleaned my maf sensor but still fees the same. You think it could be the o2 sensor?
Was it the O2 sensor?
@@geewhite3192 apparently the gasket between the intake and the engine was cracked and sucking in air through there.

@@geewhite3192 over in my neck of the woods i was charged $435. Seemed a bit harsh but they kept it for 2 days until they found the problem with the smoke machine.

I've got a '00 Blazer, been replacing sensors here lately I've replaced the cps,tps, with 184k miles with poorer gas mileage as usual the oxygen sensor should be next thanks for info. 😁
I had a faulty oxygen sensor and MAF both do the same kinda job I think!

Could this be responsible for an rpm drop on a cvt from 1500 to 1000 accompanied by a low rumble sound while ascending a hill? No check engine light on and this is the only issue. The rpm drop only lasts for 1-2 seconds then ascends normally
