it’s wild because everything Seth mentioned re: marijuana was so positive (literally directly saying that it has no cost only gains to his life!). The continued censoring is only gonna further perpetuate criminalisation for something that can be beneficial to so many people lives. Would you upload that clip separately?
Great interview!! Seth knows who he is, what matters in the world and is genuine and authentic. Many of us get lost in chaos and he laid it out very simply. Follow your natural inclinations & what you love, work hard for what you want, be a good person, surround yourself with friend and family and love is the most important thing in life. He’s happy and satisfied with his achievements and gives back through charity work. Alzheimer’s affects most of us and I appreciated him sharing that. I got so much out of this interview. Seth, if you by chance read this, thank you! I loved the interview and don’t ever change. Despite your success, you never changed and never got stuck in the weeds. You understood early on that love amongst family and friends is what makes life beautiful. I never watched an interview before but I will definitely make an effort to watch moving forward.
I think he has a lot of depth… he’s just funny and sweet and not boring about it… he’s also a great actor so he can definitely be not wanting to reveal that depth which is wild
As someone who has watched the vast majority of Seth Rogen appearances on podcasts and long form interviews this one really gives some real insight on his mindset & point of view which is really refreshing to hear because most people ask the same questions resulting in common answers that I've heard countless times. Always respected how Seth went from a kid from Canada to being casted in Freaks and Geeks then achieving success and stardom in movies that many overlook the process and journey it took to be as accomplished as he is today. I'm only 11 mins into this and I'm already enjoying and appreciate the direction of this conversation & will listen to the end like I always do
I skipped around a lot, he's difficult to pay attention to... he seems neurotic and like he's having a difficult time pretending he's not. and like he has breathing problems

Stephen i swear your show is turning into our generations Inside the Actors Studio but with professionals from all industries! so varied and so rich. thank you!
I didn’t know much about him aside from seeing him in movies and knowing he wrote some, but this interview allowed him to portray himself as a disciplined hardworking writer which I found really interesting. Not sure why his public persona comes off as more informal, maybe cause he’s down to earth. Anyways he seems like a fun positive person you’d want to be around and work with ❤. Plus I loved what he said about his wife and the fact that he makes an effort to be around her. Also, his laugh is something else 😂.
I imagine he comes across as informal and fun because his frequent laughter keeps things from feeling too heavy, which is likely Seth's goal. Idk if it's a Canadian thing or me projecting because I find I do the same when I'm with others; say something serious then start laughing or crack a joke to break any tension or whatever. But I'm also Canadian and find a lot of us do the same.
This was such a good interview, I see Seth get asked a lot of the same questions on podcasts and its surface level stuff but these were such good questions and really opened him up
Ahhh, Seth Rogen!!!! ❤ He’s so cool without even trying. Love his movies and his laughter! He kept his inner child alive and thriving. All the therapists in this world would have a hard time with him. He’s just happy and truly lucky in every sense. He and his wife clearly hit the jackpot! If your husband of 17 years says that he doesn’t like travelling that much anymore because he doesn’t like to be away from you and enjoys spending time with you, then you know you won the lottery! Is there anything more beautiful a man could say about his wife? Couldn’t agree more with him about the topic of having children! Even nowadays, one can still make a whole room go suddenly quiet upon expressing this view, especially as a woman.
Hi Stephen, I really enjoy all of your interviews and you have a great style! However this interview felt a bit awkward to me, like you were both not on the same page with the styles of questions. I think one of the few ways you could improve is to be a little more versatile in adapting to your guests, like maybe keeping it a bit more lighthearted if the guest is more that style?
I agree, not every interview has to be like a therapy session. On another day it may have worked but Seth was seemingly in a jubilant mood. You'd get more out of him if you went along with that 👍
Thank you for talking about life and your career without having kids. I wish there were more people in their 40s and older that would publicly talk about how it has been not having kids and the benefits they have experienced without regrets. I do not know anyone over the age of 40 that chose to not have kids and I wish I had more guidance and mentors that chose this path to speak with.
True. There r already more humans on this planet living at the cost of mother nature. But it would have been even more good if he and his wife have had decided to adopt underprivileged orphan children/child.
This was such a intimate conversation. Very different from other "interviews". This was a talk, and you really did a good job listening to ask great questions. A lot of reflection on his end which made it super interesting and fascinating for us. Seth is amazing. Gonna rewatch his stufff now 😮💨
I think also the fact that they went through such a long and slow death with his wife’s mother, they really made the best decisions for themselves given the situations they were dealt. I can’t imagine how difficult it would’ve been to raise a family while caring for a sick family member.
From his movies to his book, Seth Rogen continues to prove why he is such an awesome human. Nothing crazy or sensational, just a cool guy with a dream that he followed and he is so honest about it all. Just loved his honesty and realness, it was refreshing that it doesn’t have to be that deep.
Quite an interesting watch, even though I’m not super familiar with his work, but obviously his name is very famous. I can always be glad to see someone from Canada be successful. Most of all, it was nice to hear the love he had for his wife, and friends, nice whenever we can see someone who is happy with what, and who, they have in front of them, in a world where lots of people can’t sustain long term relationships or friendships
This is easily my favorite interview so far... no matter how 'nice' a celebrity seems to be, I don't really take it at face value. Even Keanu Reeves. Every time any one interviews on a big show, I think there's a possibility they really are that amazing a person but also there's a possibility they have an amazing manager or PR consultant. But as of today, Seth Rogan is one of the first people I think I actually believe is really who his public persona suggests him to be.😳
You made me sooo happy with this interview! I am in the middle of watching Platonic with him and was just thinking what a great actor he is and here you are talking to him. On the contrary, Seth is a very good actor! Loved the interview.
Seth Rogen... his work, life, and his attitude towards life overall, this guy is big!. And congrats to Steven and the team for having a man like this on the podcast
I'm realising that seth is more insecure than I had anticipated. Being vulnerable seems to make him nervous laugh. I could be wrong. But I find it endearing.
Yeah he seems like quite a private person and dodged some of the more probing stuff. I wonder if his publicist warned him at all what this podcast is like 😅
Loved this interview❤ Always greatly appreciated Rogen as a comedian, writer, actor, and actor, even though most of the content are not what I'm inclined towards, this guy has incredible worth ethic. Just so happy successful people like Seth Rogen still find time to cultivate and find so much joy in their hobbies (not just mindlessly splurging, which some do and there's nothing wrong with that) whether it's ceramics or weed. Personally not into weed at all, but am into arts and ceramics, so I love that he integrated his love for weed and ceramics into such a wonderful creative collection that can be displayed aesthetically in daily life. In another interview he said he was curious enough to take a course into ceramic glazes to make and create his own unique gloopy glaze, I totally understand the limits of glazes offered out there that's available, so that's cool he actually delved into it. Brilliant creator on so many levels. Hope to see more of him everywhere😃
I can relate to Seth's experience, my wife's sister had cancer at age 24 and she slowly succumbed to it after battling for 2 years. We were newly married at the time and it was a very trying time.
My husband and I don't want kids and he just got snipped this week. We are happy and adding kids wouldn't add any more for us. It would most likely be the opposite
I have kids, I’m enjoying having them, but I 100% get this! It blows my mind when people try to convince others that you are missing something by not having children.
I’m not gonna lie, when I stumbled upon your Cole Sprouse interview I thought wow this is such a long video. By the time I got to the end I wished it was another hour longer. That’s how I always feel now when your videos end. Amazing questions. Amazing guests. Bravo 👏🏻 and thank you for real
This was so goood! I’m feeling so inspired by this podcast and wasn’t expecting that. I’ve always had the mentally that I can always work harder than everyone around me and it’s why my hemp business has been able to thrive despite it being a tough industry to be in. Thank you Seth!
Seth is wise and well seasoned in living through his dream and joy in the industry he enjoys, admires and appreciates. Steven does a great job of asking thought provoking questions beyond the normative macro scripted lens of informative journalism. There is a sense of humility with a vast range of expertise within this dialogue. Great!
My husband and I are in the same boat. We are very happy with our lives just the way they are. We can do whatever we want when we want. Hubby just got snipped this week so we are in the clear. No more worrying because I have a completely messed up cycle even on birth control. Man it's annoying worrying every single month because it decided to not show up but no more of that!!!!!!
I thought the movie "The Interview" was fricken hilarious and one of my favorite movies from Seth. His movies target a certain demographic and if those critics don't watch these types of movies, of course they will have something negative to say. Its just a sure fact but don't let it get you down and keep moving forward. 💯

❤ Seth and ❤❤ this interview! I feel like he revealed who he really is: a wonderfully authentic sincere and brilliant human who holds deep commitment to his family and friends. The way Seth explains the origin of his incredible talent blows my mind. He is doing something here no other “celebrity” has ever possessed the fortitude to do. I’ll watch any movie read any book or buy whatever this fella produces for the rest of his life. Wait. That sounds so stalkerish but you know I’m not like that.
how crazy is it that we cant even speak freely on this platform. And of course creators value monitization rather then letting their guests speak so here we are with a re-upload. NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Although I agree with where you are coming from, when you are using someone else's platform, simple put, they have rules and things you need to abide by. If you break those rules you will be slapped. Agree or not, that's just how it will be.

Having kids is a choice not a requirement. People that say “it’s not for me” and stick with that decision despite the social pressure and pressure from family especially if you have a Jewish family with the guilt tripping. People that decide early on that it is for then and they make great parents good for them as well. It is a choice damnit.

You'd get more out of him if you went along with that 👍
I thought the same, felt like a bit of a missed opportunity
I wonder if Seth’s laughing is due to his Tourettes.
Love how he shouts out Evan so much. About as unselfish as a true homie can be
Thank you for talking about life and your career without having kids.
Gonna rewatch his stufff now 😮💨
Always loved Seth he inspired me to be a filmmaker and comedian growing up
I think also the fact that they went through such a long and slow death with his wife’s mother, they really made the best decisions for themselves given the situations they were dealt. I can’t imagine how difficult it would’ve been to raise a family while caring for a sick family member.
He doesnt hv kids
He’s so real and I love it! Love the convo about not wanting kids and being content/ happy without :)
Grateful Seth talked about his support of his wife and Mother in law. He is helping so many .
This is my favorite interview on the channel. Brilliant.
I wonder if his publicist warned him at all what this podcast is like 😅
@natdl691Intrusive? Have you watched ANY of the other videos?
@@narfarn402Right?😅
Loved this interview❤ Always greatly appreciated Rogen as a comedian, writer, actor, and actor, even though most of the content are not what I'm inclined towards, this guy has incredible worth ethic.
I looked for this interview on Spotify when the original upload was made private. Anyway, good to see the video re-uploaded on UA-cam.
I can relate to Seth's experience, my wife's sister had cancer at age 24 and she slowly succumbed to it after battling for 2 years. We were newly married at the time and it was a very trying time.
100% spot on about kids. Me and my wife actively enjoy not having them too! 👍🏻😂
Me too
My husband and I don't want kids and he just got snipped this week. We are happy and adding kids wouldn't add any more for us. It would most likely be the opposite
@@UlexiteTVStoneLexite I know what you mean 👍🏻
@@Johnboysmudge we get to do whatever we want when we want at the drop of a hat. You can't do that with kids.
I have kids, I’m enjoying having them, but I 100% get this!
It blows my mind when people try to convince others that you are missing something by not having children.
Thanks for this interview. As someone who wants to become a good writer, some of the questions helped me a lot.
The only person in history who you can identify purely by his laugh.
You are wrong my friend Sid James. His laugh is on another level !!!!!
@@jmel7368 Sid James is pure dirt! Wak wak wak waaaak! 😄
Eddie Murphy eh eh eh eh
He does have a distinctive laugh tbf but,for me,its jimmy Carr's laugh.
Kawai Leonard too….
This was so goood! I’m feeling so inspired by this podcast and wasn’t expecting that. I’ve always had the mentally that I can always work harder than everyone around me and it’s why my hemp business has been able to thrive despite it being a tough industry to be in. Thank you Seth!
I love his laugh very true about no success comes from quitting
I love Seth Rogan and this is probably the best interview I've ever seen. Usually he's always having to be funny and this was so much more insightful.
Great!
Very refreshing to hear his reasoning for not having kids. Me and my wife think and feel exactly the same. Bang on Seth!
Same mate - we actively enjoy not having them
My husband and I are in the same boat.
His ideology about having kids is spot on..
I thought the movie "The Interview" was fricken hilarious and one of my favorite movies from Seth. His movies target a certain demographic and if those critics don't watch these types of movies, of course they will have something negative to say. Its just a sure fact but don't let it get you down and keep moving forward. 💯
I agree, the Interview was one of a very small bunch of films that I literally laughed so hard that my stomach hurt 💀
I loved the Interview so much. To this day I reference jokes & lines from the movie and it's one of my all time favourites! Fricking hilarious !!!
hands down one of my favorite movies. absolutely hilarious.

What happen??
We need to use rumble
Although I agree with where you are coming from, when you are using someone else's platform, simple put, they have rules and things you need to abide by.
If you break those rules you will be slapped. Agree or not, that's just how it will be.
Nah I’d happily have this podcast taken down Seth Rogan is the most hypocritical person I’ve seen
They cut the whole section where he’s talking about his weed use. WTF. Why?
Seth is an actor, producer, screenwriter and director really TO BE RESPECTED ! Not only for his achievements in his profession but especially in his honest human simplicity without Hollywood recycled star complex . HAT OF TO YOU SETH ROGEN !
The key is know what you want to do early in life. Do it often to get better and confident. Take chances, put yourself in the right spaces to meet the right people.
I love him so much. I just started the video and I'm already smiling and want to hug him.
That was my life in high school. Go to school, get back from school, spend a couple of hours at the video store, rent maybe a movie or two, get back to the house. Sleep. Repeat.
What an infectious laugh!
Superbad and pineapple express were the movies that introduced me to Seth. My fav actor and person since.
Seth Rogen is exactly my type of Jew and overall human!! You make me proud to be part of the tribe all the time!! What a lovely soul and person, that laugh is the best.
Absolutely LOVE his PURE HONESTY about the success, Hollywood, children, death and everything ❤ very precious in this world and society which dictates what you « should » say ❤❤
Great podcast! I also think a podcast with James Arthur would be really good and interesting as well👍
It's amazing to see Seth Rogen being transparent in this. More power to him.
Its the laugh for me 🤩🤩🤩🤩, i love seth rogan never knew his story till now, thanks for the video. knocked is still considered one of my favorite movies.
Man I would love to be in Seth's presence and be his friend, you are so lucky to have interviewed him
Subscribed, love the little segment of this I seen in the other video from this interview and I think you asked great questions and man who doesn’t love Seth ❤
I was in the middle of watching this and it disappeared. Glad to see it's back.
OMG Seth you are so lovely and real . ❤ to a fellow Canadian
The medium is the message. Consider the source. Pomodoro technique . Seth is a creative icon . I’m glad to hear he still wants to keep working and writing movies ! Thanks Steven !
The Fabelmans is definitely worth watching.
I love this young Man, and love love love THE GREEN HORNET movie, never get tired of watching it. Respect and blessings to him and his wife.
Congratulations and thank you for both the great questions and guests. Always learning something on Diary of a CEO.
I know its your theme to try go all deep and stuff with the Qs, but sometimes you could keep it lighter in approach, but all in in all awesome channel
Should just smoke a joint with him and chill on the podcast... That's never been done before has it 🙄
I loved this! Seth is so great. so exciting the level of guests you’re getting now!
I'm loving all of these interviews. It's fascinating to get a little inside look at our fave celebs lives 😁💜
I had no idea that he is such a good lad. As they would say in Ireland “he’s dead on”.
Really enjoyed this interview. How did I not know Seth was a Canadian?
Thank you for posting this video, I appreciate it. A helpful
interview, thank you. Be safe,
healthy and happy. God bless you 🙏, be well.
Man, what a great interview. Seth cracks me up 😂
These interviews are very frank and insightful.
His sweater/ cardigan is so dope
😂😂
Having kids is a choice not a requirement. People that say “it’s not for me” and stick with that decision despite the social pressure and pressure from family especially if you have a Jewish family with the guilt tripping. People that decide early on that it is for then and they make great parents good for them as well. It is a choice damnit.
I really like green hornet. They put Edward furlong in it for small part. That was awesome 😊
He's REAL. I bet he's a great friend .
Seth, if you see this you are an acting/writing/ directing god. How can you think you're not a great actor?! You are amazing and I LOVE your movies! Brilliant and hilarious. Don't listen to the old heads who don't think your funny. I love every single movie I've seen you in and you are genuine and awesome and so funny. I love you man!!! Seth Rogan y'all! Love the interview as well.
Never thought Seth would come on here but I'm here for it!!
asking what you genuinely want to know is best
Refreshing to hear his reasons on not having children. It is not common to hear this take. I really liked this as it's exactly how me and my fiance think.
You will never know love or joy that comes close to having kids.
Don’t wait. You will regret it.
@@goochisessions I’ll take love and joy from other things over having a kid any day, having a kid would make my life absolutely miserable and some stranger on the internet isn’t going to change that just because they are ignorant and don’t agree
Same - my wife and I are in our 40's now and have never regretted it for a second.
@@goochisessions no we're not going to regret it. Not everyone wants kids. Oh my gosh are you that insecure that you have to force your ideas onto everyone else?
@@Johnboysmudge 34 and not having kids. We are so much happier now that that discussion is over. For a little while I was falling into the rest of society telling me what I'm supposed to do until I finally realize that it was just a bunch of bulshit.
