It looks like he was annoyed that Akaash kept coming for him so hard. But instead of getting upset he decided to just double down and be more ridiculous because he probably doesn’t care. Akaash kept making him the butt of the joke by repeating the things he would say sarcastically. Shultz was also laughing at joe several times throughout the pod but did it in a more subtle way.

Joe has legit become a master of not speaking over people. It’s almost jarring when he’s talking and then Andrew or Akaash start talking over him. You can tell he really notices it and pauses talking. He’s honed a very specific podcast format, which is different than the format/vibe of Flagrant and you can see that kinda collide a little.
I think from millennial generation on our most trusted sources were comedians, from Jon Stewart to Rogan. George Carlin was big but not culturally relevant. These are authentic people and that’s what currency in future generations.

This is the 6th time ive seen this episode and i gotta say the intro is absolutely a perfect setup for this entire episode i wish there was a Patreon lol
this is one of the only podcasts i’ve been able to sit through and enjoy all the way through. just friends discussing anything and everything, it feels as if you’re a part of the conversation.
Too many people laughing in mics and talking over each other though. Voices on the couch need something other than a lapel mic and Andrew is in a laugh-til-I-slap-my-knee phase where 50% of the pod is trying to hear what someone is saying while he does that.
true story. my mom's cousin is a marine biologist that studied in the arctic throughout the 70's and 80s. He was attacked by a polar bear in the early 80s and was bitten on his back and head and was being dragged off by the bear with his head in the polar bear's mouth. a member of his team was able to shoot the bear and kill it. they had to carry him miles back to their base camp and (where they had a medic) and then wait for an air lift which took three days before they were able to get him to a hospital in northern Canada. he lived to tell the tale and now gladly shows off the teeth mark scars surrounding his head (mostly on the sides and down his jaw). He is one of the best story tellers I have ever encountered and to this day I remember sitting around a camp fire at their house in Nova Scotia as a child listening to his 2 hour long account of the attack and aftermath. He was a true adventurer and it is just one of his interesting stories. He also brews a great beer and is one of the kindest people. thought it might interest people!
I saw an episode of a show where a guy was attacked by a polar bear in Canada just like this…except in the show the team members had flare guns that were able to scare the polar bear enough to drop the guy. Think this is the same guy and story?? Has he ever been on TV?
It's cool to hear Rogan as the guest. I've never heard him talk so much. You could tell he was just chilling with his homies having a good convo over a blunt and a some whiskey.
Sometimes, Joe Rogan makes me want to cry. He says things sometimes that really just makes so much sense. People give him shit, but the way he talks about how he grew, how he changed, his mindsets that evolved, its beautiful. No matter what you think of him, you have to appreciate him for at least something.
Real talk, dude cares more about being the best version of a real person who can be an asset to his people, than any of his critics could ever comprehend with their egos in their way. He makes a real effort to be “what you see is what you get”, but with a rare ability to be brutally objective and continuously be less flawed among flawed humans, but not for a bulshitty reason of feeding his ego like most people who strive to be better everyday, he genuinely just wants to be as much an asset to those around him as possible and less of a liability than he may have been yesterday. It’s definitely a highly respectable thing to see because whatever you like or dislike about anyone, how they act or what they say, that unique underlying principle is really all anyone can ask for in a person.
This episode made me feel so sad that people that follow the mainstream dislike someone who tries so hard to be honest, open-minded and truthful as possible - which is the exact opposite of mainstream media.
Okay to be real, the anti "mainstream media" stuff has gone too far. If you read the front page of the AP or Reuters, you're actually going to be reasonably informed on most of the big events happening in the world. Do they have biases? Sure (so does Joe, btw). The difference is that they actually invest a lot of time and effort into researching their stories and issuing retractions, and when there are ethical breaches, other organizations will call them on it, unlike alternative media- where the audience is self-selected.
I like Joe so much more as a guest, he was fucking hilarious in the beginning and then so wholesome and knowledgable with such good stories and anecdotes towards the end. Joe carried the comedy heavy lifting when the blunt hit Andrew so hard he was out for those 20 or so minutes haha
I completely agree, this was one of the best, most natural 'hang' podcasts in a while and it's so awesome. You feel like you're in the room just gassing with the boys, best pod I've watched in a looong time, on par with the old Sasso/D'Elia TFATK EPs.. save our parks is getting close to this too, I love Shane, Joe and Ari, it's magic.. anyway rant over, glad you enjoyed it too 🤣🤦😅
Legit one of the best podcast episodes of all time of any "genre". This one transcended comedy. Banger. Joe needs to be a guest on podcasts way more often. He's so much more entertaining that way IMO.
@@IVAN3049 LOS, Matt and Shane, Are You Garbage, he'd be hilarious on all of the east coast podcasts I'm sure, even if it's just because its absurd that he's there lmao

Y'all been killing it for a while, but tbh this one was the most fun and entertaining Flagrant podcast thus far. Joe totally took control and made this almost like a JRE episode, the Flagrant cast as quests. And really showed his experience in this game.
Any podcast or show goes on happens that way. He is the alpha male 99% of the time and the 1% of the time there is another alpha male he doesn't change
Love how you guys are just smoking, drinking, talking having a good time with friends. It feels natural. None of the conversations feel forced. Great podcast. Love that it was 3 hours because that gave me perfect time to workout, smoke, and eat all while watching the podcast 😄
It’s always fun to see Joe on other podcast because he doesn’t hold himself accountable for the things he says like on JRE. He can be loose and act more goofy because it’s someone else’s platform and not his own

Joe has legit become a master of not speaking over people. It’s almost jarring when he’s talking and then Andrew or Akaash start talking over him. true story. my mom's cousin is a marine biologist that studied in the arctic throughout the 70's and 80s.
Polar Beer
I saw an episode of a show where a guy was attacked by a polar bear in Canada just like this…except in the show the team members had flare guns that were able to scare the polar bear enough to drop the guy. Think this is the same guy and story?? Has he ever been on TV?

2 years later and I still lose it at “That polar bear smells that man’s meat” and Schulz desperately searching for someone else who heard that shit

Dont call them “people”
Okay to be real, the anti "mainstream media" stuff has gone too far.
