can u compare larger size a80l with a a95l 77inch ? I heard the a80l 77 will have heatsiink ? But how does it do in sound picture quality in low light > I hear that the a95l is more for bright room But i watch in dark room so i dont need brightness what I need is pop off the screen . and could u add the LG G3 77 IN WITH IT . BIGGER SCREENs for sony seem to be a better value in the 80 series vs the 90 at a smaller size. But I dont see reviewer doing any side by side to show this.

I also bought one for my living room on Cyber Monday two years ago. I use it for watching tons of varied content. You got an absolute steal on that TV. Its also part of Sony's Master Class of TV's so know that extra love was put into it. I love mine.
The only reason I went with the LG G3 instead of the Sony A95L is because I have both the PS5, XSX, and a sound bar. Plus ive been hearing rumors that the the next gen Nintendo Switch might use HDMI 2.1. Unfortunately only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports wont do it for me but if you dont game then get the Sony.
Overall went with The A80L 65in and the HTA 7000 soundbar . My thought was what I saved $1000 in the step lower in TV but $1000 dollars soundbar was a good trade off .
Great video, first time on the channel. I'm wondering why you didn't explain the heat sink a little more. It took up a good chunk of the video and then ended with "the heat sink will greatly help out the W-OLED" ......but how? Gonna go do some more research and I'll try to remember to follow up if I don't get a reply back. I'm looking to purchase a Sony OLED 65" and I'm curious how much the smaller sizes suffer without a heat sink. As you predicted, this is the first I'm hearing about that lol Appreciate your time!
Considering replacing my 65" A80J with the 77" A80L vs. the A95L. Best Buy has the 77" A80L currently on sale for $2,699, whereas the A95L is still $4,999. I can do a lot with the $2,300 price difference.
Question; since the Sony TVs only have two HDMI 2.1 ports, does the AV receiver, make up for that? And I plan on getting the Marantz cinema 50 or 40 AVR.
Depends on the AVR some support HDMI 2.1 so you definitely want to look into whether the ones you are looking at do and if they do how well do they do it, ive heard nightmare stories about HDMI 2.1 handshake issues with some AVRs and its not limited to one brand either.

@TechWithKG I've been all over forums asking about the 83inch a80L, but can't seem to find anyone who has actually reviewed it or even seen it in comparison to the smaller a80L sizes. I am finding it impossible to choose between the 83 inch 80L and the 77 inch a95L without best buy or someone having it in their stores on display. I'm at an 8-10 ft seating distance but in large room where sometimes you stand much deeper than that as you pay attention to what's on. That a80cl from Costco looks mighty tempting on paper.

The next time ANY manufacturer will make a better TV than a SONY (picture quality out of the box, color accuracy, creator's intent, upscaling and overall quality) will be the FIRST time....
Too expensive. Turkey has a WILD import tax so Sony TVs become basically unaffordable for anyone but the richest 5% of the country. Especially in the current economic crisis there. Europeans and Americans still have enough disposable income for these high end TVs. Even a regular employee in an established company can relative easily afford a Sony TV. In Turkey not so much...
Hi kG. Slightly off topic , but I am torn between x 95l 85 and samsung qn900b or c 8k. In my personal experience, bigger sized 4k tv suffer with clarity and sharpness issues. For larger size, do you think 8k would be a better option. Especially with regard to clarity and sharpness.
If I were in that boat I would go X95L enough people I trust have seen and weighed in on that TV and they all think its the best LCD and with clarity and sharpness in mind Sony is always the best bet.
That is what I want to get it for the PS5. I guess the A80 L is not only cheaper but has better sound quality On amazon prime the A8L is under $1400 and the A80L is 1500+. I always get my electronics on Black Friday or Amazon Prime day. You can get a 20-30% savings. Even if we call it 20% 1400 -20% comes to $1220 or $280 off.
KG , are you keeping your A80J or flippin it for that A80L / A95L ? My 77” A80CJ been so loyal and spectacular that I don’t want to part with it just now
I haven't seen the A80L yet but I have the A80J and that is better than the C3 IMO however thats just my opinion, but Classy Tech has compared the C3 and A80L and the A80L did a better job at most things.

The reason you but a Sony OLED is motion. OLEDs have jarring stutter when watching movies especially with panning shots. You have to use some type of motion enhancement to mitigate this stutter. LG and Samsung cannot smooth this out workout adding soap opera effect or other motion artifacts. Sony can smooth out OLED motion without adding soap opera effect smoothing
@@aznhandles No, bfi generally dims the screen. Sony had figured out a way to implement motion interpolation without the unnatural soap opera effect. That’s the main reason I only buy Sony televisions. I hate stutter and soap opera effect. Sony motion processing is unmatched and worth the extra cost Sony charges

The blacks are slightly washed out in comparison to the 80l, meanwhile the whites are slightly improved. I decided to buy 65a84l because there was a discount at my store and sony introduced nice cashback. In the end, I bought the a84l version in the current price of a84k.
I own both, and I don't know how the A95K was set up when you watched it, but my A95K easily destroyes my A80L, not even close, that's why I use it for gaming primarily...
"Settle" for the A80L? How condescending does this sound for what is an absolute fantastic TV that blows away EVERY other OLED TV today that is not a SONY? You youtube TV reviewers continue to amaze me with your comments degrading some GREAT Tvs these days that are not the "high end" models. I will say you come off better than most of them especially Brian the Tech dork and FOMO the super dork....Dudes that probably can't even afford the ultra high end $4000+ TVs.
I'm not sure about Sony as *_"da bestah upscaling teevee."_* Watching a 720p youtube content in my 10+ years old Australian Panasonic Plasma, it rendered better than that in my new Sony A80K. I can often see how ugly it was (a lowres video) in Sony; whereas my ancient Panasonic can take it much better (though I admit that it's not always bad and the old TV is 50" vs 65" new TV)
Sony TV's huh more like garbage TV's are just not that great. They're not worth Buying at all. Sony Monitors, however, is worth buying as a television. You get better picture, better quality. You get better color monitors, you don't get Good color TV's need to be outdated. Why would anybody want to buy televisions? In the first place.
Yes those will still be happening before November hopefully! I am almost caught up with finishing the content for other TVs then I will move into those you mentioned.
@TechWithKG ty for the reply! This might be my first big purchase towards a tv if I go with the 65in A95L. I'm just really concerned about burn in, as its primary use will be for gaming and I'm still learning about the pros and cons of certain types of displays. Plus only having 2 of the new hdmi ports is a downer if I want to have a sound bar along with my two consoles

The next time ANY manufacturer will make a better TV than a SONY (picture quality out of the box, color accuracy, creator's intent, upscaling and overall quality) will be the FIRST time....
@@zulieibanez59 a80l is a no brainer. 😊
I hear a lot of praise fir Sony.
I guess my question is, what is sony# weakness aside from price and hdmi
S90C is the best value TV for 2023. Best for gaming and color and brightness is super strong.
I agree it’s one of the best if not the best A80L is a good 2nd place.
48" a90k or 55" a80l?
A80L 55
I love my a95k
Why does Sony no longer sell its televisions in Turkey?
Probablly the same reason why Panasonic stop selling TVs in the US. SMH
Sorry to hear that.
@@Cenkolino Sounds almost similar in the islands. They have a crazy import tax too. But not the ppl found ways around it.
Awesome content as always! Do you think the x90L will upscale as good as the A80L? I have an Lg c1 but I don’t like it’s lack of clarity
No chance. The LCD will not upscale to the same level and clarity that the OLED will
Hey KG I always say go with the best OLED you can comfortably afford. 😊
Actually just go with the best SONY you can comfortably afford.
Sony Bravia A80 Series S90 QD OLED and LG C series are only budget OLED worth buying
I bought sony A84LU for gaming
@@TechWithKG would you say the x 95l is sharper than qn 900b considering that is 8 k?.
Does X95l have XR clear image?
@@michaelsuresh5618yes
They just dropped th A75L please update
see my pinned post its the A80L with lesser speakers, no mic, and a non adjustable stand
Very good talk
KG , are you keeping your A80J or flippin it for that A80L / A95L ? My 77” A80CJ been so loyal and spectacular that I don’t want to part with it just now
Keeping it if I buy an A95L to keep for myself it’s likely to be 55” for next year’s TV comparisons.
A80l 65" VS LG C3 65' which is which?
I haven't seen the A80L yet but I have the A80J and that is better than the C3 IMO however thats just my opinion, but Classy Tech has compared the C3 and A80L and the A80L did a better job at most things.
@@TechWithKG SInce a 65 inch doesn't come with a heatsink, the A80L, is it a good TV for binge watching movies?
@@charltonhmumo6759 Yeah that wouldn't stop it from excelling at that, it will be great for movies. If you want a comparison of a TV with a heat sink vs one without look at my A90J vs A80J comparison that might help you out.
Someday Sony will wake up and give us 4 HDMI 2.1 ports 🎉
Today was looking at Sony A84L 83 inch>> was OMG. Its worth? 4499 pounds.
Will not having 2.1 HDMI jeopardize the performance of a 4K bluray player?
Cutie OLED is charming
😂
I got the a90k…
What NO INFO ON the SONY A75L ?
This video was made before A75L released or was announced, A75L is essentially an A80L just with a slightly lesser speaker system, no built in mic, and a different stand. I did a video just recently about the A80L that covers the A75L as well.
is PHOLED still on track for 2025? (Sony)
Definitely possible
The reason you but a Sony OLED is motion. OLEDs have jarring stutter when watching movies especially with panning shots. You have to use some type of motion enhancement to mitigate this stutter. LG and Samsung cannot smooth this out workout adding soap opera effect or other motion artifacts. Sony can smooth out OLED motion without adding soap opera effect smoothing
hence BFI?
@@aznhandles No, bfi generally dims the screen. Sony had figured out a way to implement motion interpolation without the unnatural soap opera effect. That’s the main reason I only buy Sony televisions. I hate stutter and soap opera effect. Sony motion processing is unmatched and worth the extra cost Sony charges
I’m returning my s90c for this reason the motion is terrible on it.
@@Vetteman6363 yep…
@@Vetteman6363just got s90c after sony bravia, motion is better than 5yo bravia, you messed up your judder settings, motion in movies is amazing, in games its perfect with gsync
Yaaaay! 📺 👍💯☮️
A90K is a Master Series, unlike A80K
I spent an hour watching 65a95k while comparing it to 65a80l and I barely have seen any difference.
Wht about X95L mini-leds ser?
I’ll have a separate video for LED TVs this is just for their OLED lineup
Excellent Sony comparison!!
Interesting that the A80L has 3.2(50W), while the A95K and A95L have 2.2 (60W) sound
I don't even use the sound from my A95K, I have it hooked up to my AVR for a way better experience...
Imma ignore your comment about liking tv speakers
77" A80L is already down to $2699. By March of next year probably around $2299 and by Nov. 2024 likely $1999. I'll wait....LOL
Glossy screen on A80L. .....only on 83".
Samsung is close to Sony but jit as good LG is way behind Sony and Samsung in picture processing sound quality buuld quality and reliability.
Don't buy A95K. The burn-in risk is greater with the gen1 panel and I think the purple tint is worse as well?
👍🏽👍🏽
I can often see how ugly it was (a lowres video) in Sony; whereas my ancient Panasonic can take it much better (though I admit that it's not always bad and the old TV is 50" vs 65" new TV)
they better buy a samsung 🤓😎
Sony TV's huh more like garbage TV's are just not that great. They're not worth Buying at all.
Sony Monitors, however, is worth buying as a television. You get better picture, better quality. You get better color monitors, you don't get Good color TV's need to be outdated. Why would anybody want to buy televisions? In the first place.
KG are you gonna get the TCL, Hisense or Sony LED tvs? I love your comparison videos but a lot of us can’t afford these OLEDs lol
Yes those will still be happening before November hopefully! I am almost caught up with finishing the content for other TVs then I will move into those you mentioned.
I got s90c, hisense u8k has best fald i ever sen, its oled level blacks, no blooming whatsoever, just make sure you get great panel, dse can be brutal
You don't have to attach the cam for the A95L do you?
It’s included to be used as an optional component like it was with the A95K
@TechWithKG ty for the reply! This might be my first big purchase towards a tv if I go with the 65in A95L. I'm just really concerned about burn in, as its primary use will be for gaming and I'm still learning about the pros and cons of certain types of displays. Plus only having 2 of the new hdmi ports is a downer if I want to have a sound bar along with my two consoles
