Bio: Wajahat S. Khan is an Emmy-nominated journalist and author reporting on Indo-Pacific security and focusing on the Af-Pak conflict. An Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center of Global Affairs and non-resident Senior Fellow at Washington’s Atlantic Council, Khan is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism and the University of Michigan, as well as Pakistan’s only Shorenstein Fellow for Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has reported from 16 countries covering conflict, diplomacy, and media for digital, cable and network news. During the final years of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, Khan was bureau chief in Kabul and Islamabad for NBC News, and embedded with over a hundred NATO, Afghan, Indian and Pakistani military and paramilitary units as he covered South Asia for leading US, British, Indian, Japanese and Pakistani networks and publications since the beginning of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. Every Pakistan agrees on a single point agenda. That the uncontrollable, unquestionable, unaccountable of the Pakistan Army Chief, the interference of the military in Pakistani politics, is the single biggest factor in Pakistan's devastation.

As long as we call the armed mafia the Pak Army, I don't think we are going anywhere as a nation. Deprivation, poverty and substandard livelihood are our destiny. Either they (the army) or we (the nation)..., we have to choose 1, because the two cannot simply co-exist together.

Don’t be fooled by Asim’s Machiavellian deceit. His goal is to remain in power - align with the corrupt Nawaz regime if need be -,and has no long term strategic vision of how to improve the lives of the common man. He is a brutal dictator - very dangerous to see this man as a do gooder.

We have to accept with a heavy heart that Pakistan Army and their officers do not give a flying F about Pakistan and its people. This explains why the country does not seem to have a clear strategy or clear national interests. One day they with China next day they with USA. Their main interest is prerservation of armys wealth and power.

We Pakistanis have witnessed many doctrines the Yahya doctrine after which we were shamefully defeated with 90,000 POWs. Then the Zia docrine, we lost a huge area of Siachin to India, then we witnessed to lost a huge defame in 1998 through Kargil in Musharraf doctrine, then we witnessed the introduction and start of assets collectionsplits, lands grabbing and competitions during Musharraf /Kiyani/ Sharif doctrines. Then came the Bajwa doctrine, we saw legs shivering of him during one skirmish with India, then we saw that our Tanks are old and rusted and let resolve the issues with India. So the game is finished and let's talk now for peace, now the new doctrine is for begging to administer the debt servicing of 130 billion dollar by selling the national assets like motorways, hydropower, airports, ports and mining intersts. So no buddy is interested in the present situation when masses of the country are hate them and don't like the present situation of unemployment, economy while million of professionals, bussiness local investors people are running out of the country.

He can use interpretator like all the heads of state and their representatives do like russia, china, Germany and many more. Government officials as well as military personnel can do this, but is it right for an Army chief to give an interview.
Because the COAS is not really worth it, not really important outside of Pakistan.

Apparently current general is the most publicly known in the last 2 decades. Everyone in the country knows about his doings. Everything on the ground is tributed to him. His character is very much known to all within the country and without.
He is an airman, we can’t expect much more from him.
Yeah gold diggers know this ilegitimate piece of crap talk of the town 😅, there's this guy, right? People are wondering why he never shows up on TV or talks to the press. Turns out, he's not great at speaking proper English. Word on the street is, he went to some not-so-awesome school in small town called Sapper Boys School Risalpur. I mean, who'd send their kid there? It's like the last resort for kids who don't have any other option. Basically, this guy had a below-average upbringing. Yeah, this chief of duffer staff not exactly top-tier material.

In my opinion its not that Judiciary have any moral compass that is conflicting with state led crimes, it is relentless PTI knocking on judiciary door and forcing judiciary purely on technical weakness of prosecution cases so much so that there is no legal basis for judiciary to have any other judgement.
Concerning Imran Khan, the situation is at its most dangerous NOW. For months the country has seen FAKE cases and a prolonged trial process CONCOCTED by the sitting judges. The best lawyers told that the cases were BASELESS without foundation - but no judge did justice, except the new judges. The others owed patronage to PMLN or PPP. A fair judge would have thrown out such cases on day 1. But Nawaz ordered arrests and trials. Judges complied. Why now order bails and release of Imran Khan, there is no NEW evidence. The answer is Khan was GUARDED in jails and prisons by cameras, guards and witnesses. So Nawaz has changed his strategy. He wants Khan released and campaigning. AND THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ATTEMPT ON IMRAN KHAN'S LIFE. Just like Bajwa, Asim Munir is a killer - look at arrests, torture & behaviour against women. Military sharp shooters will be used with orders to kill. Asif Zardari uses suicide bombers to blow up innocent people. Then these politicians go to give fake comfort to the people. So PTI needs to tread carefully. ALSO, now people see the judges as good, so when Nawaz wins the election, these same judges will declare the resulr fair. How will people feel then? Zardari is a corrupt person like Nawaz, the two can never separate in their hearts. Yet look at their fake animosity towards each other, just to ensure that only PMLN & PPP can stay on the field. The Pak Army needs reform.

Trying to size up Munir by talking to outsiders is a pointless exercise. Their perception of him would be based on the false image he tries to project as a smiling and friendly person. Instead, it is best to observe his 'actions on the ground' to gain insight into his true personality, which differs greatly from the façade he presents. I have tried very hard not to use the right word for him :)
