In regards to Angela Hammond’s case: “On the 30th anniversary of her disappearance, new details were provided to the public. Investigators are working a theory that Angela was mistaken for another woman who was being targeted in the aftermath of her father’s legal affairs. This man had acted as an informant in a narcotics case and received a note threatening the life his daughter, also named Angela. The note was sent on April 4, 1991, the very evening of Angela Hammond’s abduction. Authorities believe that, due to their similar names and appearances, the two women were mixed up and Angela Hammond was mistakenly abducted. As of April 2021, that theory is still being investigated.”
If this theory was correct I felt like the guy would release Angela because if he was informant he would prove face a year or two in prison to snitch for them some more

Similar to Joanne's case, I was once locked out of my home by my mom as a child after an ''argument''. It was winter, it was cold and I was left outside on the porch in a thin jacket. I think I waited there for around two hours. I even tried knocking on the door and windows repeatedly but my mom and siblings ignored me. I was crying most of the time and upset so I made the very foolish decision to walk to my grandmother's house who lived a short distance away. The only problem is that child-me considered the walk a ''short distance'' because of the short amount of time it took to drive there in a car. On foot, the journey was two and a half miles and most of the landscape was woodland countryside with houses here and there. Ultimately I was successful in reaching my destination without incident and I scared the shit out of my grandmother when she learned her twelve year old granddaughter had trekked alone in the dark to her house. Looking back, that journey could have very well been my last. I could have been kidnapped, gotten lost in the dark, gotten hurt and stranded or been attacked by wildlife. Not my brightest moment, I'll admit but I was so upset I didn't even think about it, I just started walking. I could have been Joanne.
I’m sorry you went through that. That’s a shitty thing of your mom to have done. I would have hoped your grandma took custody of you. I’m glad you made it safe to her house. The fact your mother allowed that to happen is abuse. My crazy mother did similar to me, but I was an adult and lucky for me I had my cousin with me. I was 21…and she came me a curfew of 8:00 pm…8:00 pm even though I was an adult. I was a few minutes late due to traffic and she would not let me in. My cousin was on the phone with my aunt and they allowed me to stay over after seeing how unfair my mom was being. What’s even more ridiculous is that my idiotic mother herself ended up leaving that night because she could not stay by herself in that house. She was afraid. So she went through all the effort of getting ready, packing her stuff, asking my uncle if she he could stay with him, all due to her damn pride. Just to prove a point, just to assert dominance and control. All that when she could have forgiven me for being late and we could have both stayed there. Unsurprisingly she now lives alone and nobody wants her around. Parents and people in general need to stop locking others out. Joanne is just one tragic case. Another one was the teenage girl her parents locked out, only for Paul and Karla, the Ken and Barbie murderers to kidnap and kill her. I hope the parents still feel guilt.
It doesn't matter what you do, your mother should NOT have locked you out of the house. That's AWFUL. It's a miracle you did not meet the same fate as Joanne and I hope your mother never did that to you again.

Angela's case is indeed haunting! I can't imagine the fear she felt and what happened to her next... Her boyfriend never got the chance to save her. Like it wasn't meant to be. Unbelievably eerie.
That last one is so sad. The guilt the sister and cousin must feel would be overwhelming. Imagine how the parents felt. Even if they never showed it, I bet there had to be some deep seeded resentment towards the two who clearly knew better than to lock her out, especially on a cold rainy night. I can't even imagine what they have been thru.

I remember seeing Angela’s case on Unsolved Mysteries, heartbreaking story. I heard somewhere that the feeling of grief isn’t from losing someone but it’s from when reality sets in that you were helpless to help them. When Rob was on his way to her location he felt fear of what might happen, then he heard her from the man’s truck. Rob watching the truck drive off into the night now knowing there was nothing he could do was the grief.

For the second story, imagine how scary and traumatic that must have been for her fiancé. Literally being on the phone with her and hearing her scream as she is abducted. Speeding down to see the truck she's in and chasing it down, only to have to watch it drive away.
I saw a similar story on dateline I believe. A guy had just hung up with his fiancee who had said she was just pulling into the driveway. Couple minutes later he heard her scream and watched as she was dragged at gunpoint into a different car. He called 911 but was blamed for her kidnapping because he was basically a criminal and "the boyfriend". Eventually he was cleared and her body later turned up. Poor guy was distraught. The cops definitely cost her her life.
I think I would have slammed on the brakes in reflex....& swerved to turn around. This could be very dangerous too, given other cars or street obstacles.

Just imagining the stories from the victims' perspective gives me chills. We can pause the video, but they had to live through those horrific moments. I wish they get their life back someday.
Ive had similar experiences just the kidnapper was stopped before I was fully taking away but on many occasions they had me pretty much n were dragging or carrying me off. I still think about where I’d have been n what would have happened if they succeeded n if no one came to help me. So yes it is very traumatic for me to think about this. So many lives that the world in some ways needed people they were put on earth to help that will no longer have had that opportunity. I was put in many lives to help if something had happened to me that would have never happened. Women n girls for sure are not exposable n useable objects we are souls like men n boys put in the world for some good purpose something individual that each one soul can do in the world that others can’t. Many have been stolen from that role n purpose by self centred people now people will miss out in their life each soul who was abused used squashed or taken from the world. Perhaps it was someone these evil men were meant to meet in later life to help them… or possibly save their life or soul or their loved ones even.

there has been a few attempted murders and trust me they came closer to death than anyone on the planet... and yes the terror, thinking of their children and family is what made it worse than the injuries...to be at the mercy of a sadistic killer has to be the worst way to leave this planet.. one pregnant woman met with another pregnant woman for used baby clothes for sale on craigslist but the woman had a fake belly strapped on, and attacked her, cutting the infant out while she was alive and conscious, her 911 call is unsettling i've never heard anyone sound so weak in my life...and alison botha which is the craziest story i ever heard in my life they did a documentary about her and indeed it was great quality, and then mary vincent who was picked up by a man who had a daughter her age there were photos on dashboard but during the drive tried groping her and she slapped him.. he pulled over saying he was going to take a leak and he knocked her out, when she came to she said please set me free he was retrieving a machete and he cut off both of her arms and said now you are free to go... she only survived cuz she stuck both of her stumps into mud which stopped the bleeding... she was 17 at the time..or 16... they let him out after only a few years and he stabbed someone to death that blood is on the justice system';s filthy hands.. he was clearly a psychopath and should not have ever been let back out.. the last story i am knew to that i may have mixed up some details but u get the idea... imagine living with that trauma.. and lets not forget the horrifying story of joe clark, the baraboo bonebreaker, his victim thad philips barely survived he had severe injuries and been tortured for 2-3 days by this sick 17 year old killer and was only an hour away from death..there is alot of documentaries on that...dave's lemonade did a nice one. At that age, kids often can't see or even understand the consequences of their actions. Of course, there certainly was no malice intended in their childish acts. Unfortunately however, a 10 year old girl was abducted and most likely murdered because of their lack of maturity or foresight. I'm sure that having to live with the guilt as adults now haunts them constantly. It's just an unfortunate situation all around for that poor family. 😣💔

I wasn't defending them; I was just stating a fact. Whatever the case, they are responsible for that 10 year old having gone missing and presumably murdered. I hope they feel guilt for the rest of their lives, otherwise they are horrid, sociopathic women. The story claimed that they got into a fight or disagreement and they locked her out as a "joke." Not allowing her back in was their mistake and the cause of the terrible tragedy that ensued. I'm just not 100% certain if they meant for her to get into the situation she was unfortunate enough to end up in.
Angela's story has haunted for me years. I cannot imagine being Angela or Rob. Seeing her in that man's truck as he's stuck on the road must be an image he can't erase.

People usually treat each other fine as individuals. Adding a third person introduces opportunities to jockey for social security through bullying. The leader of the bullying and the tag-along don't have to imagine the perspective of the target, and when they do they're giddy at how their choices worked out for them, given how badly they're convincing themselves things might have gone for them otherwise.

I know from personal experience, that sometimes, doing a good deed makes you the suspect. Once, when I was a kid, one of my classmates glasses had gone missing (why he took them off, I have no idea) and ofc, one of us was accused of taking them, so we weren't allowed to leave before they were found. But, having noticed them earlier on a shelf, I told them so and as a result, I was accused of having hidden them. Yeah, imagine that, doing a good deed and being accused of being the cause of it.
One time in middle school I was running around the track for P.E and saw a lanyard laying in the field. I go to pick it up and its got this girls ID on it. I didn't know her, but I put it in my pocket anyways to hand it in at the office. Right after my pe period was lunch, and my school does this thing where security checks your ID before you can go to the cafeteria. So I get my lunch and when I'm done, I leave the quad heading towards the field. As I'm walking I overhear the security guard giving someone shit for not having their ID on. I look over and see the same girl and her friend talking to the guy. Thinking I was doing a good thing, I walk up and ask the girl if this ID was hers. I tried to explain to her how I found it in the field. They were having none of it. The security guard thought I was her friend and stole the ID to mess with her. And she accused me of stealing it even though we've never met before.
The caller of Dale’s shop should be traceable through phone records, assuming caller ID records weren’t concealable in 1999. Even then, I think it could be traced.

I've heard and read the Brandon Swanson story dozens of times, and this is the first time I've heard that he was walking _through a field_ rather than along the roadside.
Interesting you never heard/read that. Some theories were he fell into a old well or something being in the dark plus drunk I think and I also heard a farmer(I guess) shoot him cause he was on his property and got rid of the body. If he was walking on the road it probably would have been easier to figure out what happen to him.
I've read this case dozens of times and this is the first time I've heard that too. This clip also provided a visual as to where he was versus where he thought he was. So it makes sense why his parents didn't find him that night.

Angela was mistaken for the daughter of a drug informant. The man had a daughter who was named Angela and looked just like her. The night Angie was taken, the informant had received a threat.
Angela Hammond's story is particularly disturbing. Imagine how both her and Rob must have felt as his car died and they drifted away from each other forever and the guilt he must feel.
I feel so bad for Joanne's family It's so easy for kids to go missing these days if you're not careful, and this is a good example I am mad at those kids but also feel awful for them too since they know that they're the reason why Joanne is missing (it's the predators fault, but she shouldn't of been locked out) And as a person who once lived in a sketchy city as a young teenager, it's scary knowing that others weren't as lucky

Brandon's story is so well-known that someone has to have recreated his last known movements, right? We know where his vehicle was found and exactly how long the phone call was until it abruptly ended. Has anyone gone for that walk at the same time of night, looking for the lights he saw to know they were going in the right direction? It's just crazy that this hasn't been solved yet!
The investigators might have, depending on how thorough they were, since I believe that is standard death investigation stuff. Missing investigations typically seem like they are handled super poorly.

Back in those days it was frequent, and yet abductions like this didn't happen that often. Nowadays when kids are less likely to walk home alone at night abductions seem more common. I don't know why, but there it is.
The oldest was 14. I walked at night with friends younger than that in the 2000s, and this was the 80s. It may seem irresponsible now, but it certainly wasn’t uncommon.
That last story, man… makes me so angry. People my age (born in 1972, in my case) will go on and on about how it was so great when we were kids, how we’d just go out and play until the street lights came on and these kids today, ohhh these kids today, they don’t do anything, just look at the tiktoks and the youtubes and… guh. And the older folks are even worse. But the reason we watch our kids so closely now is because of crap like this. They act like we were fine because MOST of us came home alive, back when our parents never wondered where we were until sunset. But we were out doing stupid things, learning things we weren’t ready to learn, vulnerable to whoever, some never coming back and some coming back scarred by things we never told our parents. And somehow we count this as a win, we were so much tougher, we weren’t so easily offended, we learned self-reliance, blah blah blah. Maybe the world is the way it is today for our kids BECAUSE our parents figured we’d make it home unharmed, but as long as we showed up alive, they never really made sure about us being okay… and some of us decided our kids deserved parents who care. And because back in the day, a few poor things fell prey to slimes like the creep who grabbed that little girl, because back then, without any foundation, parents trusted kids not to be savage little monsters. Well, from the years I was bullied at school and dealt with obnoxious siblings at home, I can tell you… never assume your kids would never do something like that… never assume they are too good and responsible to bully a kid to death.

I think that no matter what generation you're from (90s for myself) you're going to always have situations like that. You can be the best parent in the world and it's like the world's evil adapts to the changes as we do. It may not be some stranger walking up to by the train tracks, in the woods where you know you probably shouldn't be playing, it's instead some stranger messaging your kid on a chat forum or social media site. It isn't some kid pushing you down or punching you, and then you go home and pretend nothing happened, it's receiving text after text about the many ways you should throw in the towel. A constant barrage of hate, that you can't run from, that you can't just forget exists until you go back to school. Every generation has it's perks and it's disappointments. Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side the sun just hits it different.

These types of stories are truly frightening when you really sit down to think about it. At any given moment, an individual can disappear without a trace forever, leaving law enforcement, families, friends, or the public puzzled as to the cause of the disappearance. It always leaves me asking the question(s), how is this possible? Do we not have enough of, or even the right clues? Are we looking in the right or wrong place? Did we let the suspect go free, despite passing a polygraph test? My heart goes out to the families of those who have vanished. ♥️
Reminds me of the Cleveland monster that kept 3 young girls captive for years, until one of them was able to call for help and they were rescued. It sickens me that it might be the case behind many disappearances. 😔
Poly tests don't actually work... in sense, they don't detect if someone is lieing or not, just that if the person is nervous or what not when taking it. Its more a trick then a full proof evidence. If you don't believe me go read up on all of it, I even think the very inventor of the poly disproved it... or was ashamed how police relied on it.
The world is huge, it’s filled with lots of moving parts, and we’re extremely fragile. There’s only so much we can do to minimize risk Then again facing risks is part of living a fulfilling life. We could all hide in our basements every day but that wouldn’t really be living, would it? We just need to be informed, reasonably cautious, and ready to accept the reality that tragedy can strike anytime anywhere no matter how much we prepare for it

feel like crap is an understatement. It probably destroyed them. Imagine becoming an adult and knowing your sister should have been becoming an adult with you as well. That you will never see her again, never talk with your sister ever again. And then imagine what your sister experienced in those final moments, that someone out there probably did unspeakable things to her and got away with it, that she only knew pain and terror in her final moments and it was all because of your mistake. There's really nothing that could ever reconcile those feelings, nothing you could ever say to make yourself feel better, I would honestly find it hard to keep living because I'd never be able to forgive myself, and any happy experience I have will be tainted with the fact that they should have been there to experience that with me as well.

These stories are always terrifying. I had a couple close calls being abducted. One time I went to the gas station literally a couple houses down from my house, I walked there when it was pouring rain and a guy pulled beside me and asked me if I needed a ride. Whether or not he meant me harm, it’s situations like that that end badly. Another time when I was older, in high school, I would go for runs down a long road that was decently trafficked but it was also a hit or miss. One neighbor who lives diagonally behind us was driving his creepy white van and was known to have something off about him, was following me. He would turn around his van and come back in my direction. I always had a phone on me back then and pretended to be talking to someone. He did this on multiple occasions until I decided not to go on runs anymore. I always checked my back on runs just in case some stalker was around me. Another time my friend and I were walking around her apartments when a red mustang pulls up beside us and repeatedly tells us to get in. We declined and ran for it. He went onto following us for another few minutes. This was in broad daylight. Creeps are out there, just waiting for their chance
Dang all 4 of these story leave me feeling very sorry for all the victims. Poor Dale going about his typical work day just to go missing. Angela how very talking on the phone to her boyfriend minding her her own business just for some awful person to kidnap her poor her boyfriend too to be wrongly accused of something he didn't do and was trying to help her. Brandon makes me wonder if the lights he saw if they were people with flashlights and he walked on them up to something they were supposed to be doing so they did away with him. Yep, with Brandon I think he came across/witnessed something he wasn't supposed to and was taken/murdered for this reason. The dogs traced him to a road and then the scent stopped, implying he was put into a vehicle. His fate after that is unknown but I would suspect he is dead.
Poor Rob. I feel so badly for him. I've heard this one several times, and it's truly haunting. Poor Angela too, she was just asking that POS who took her if he needed the phone. People are so evil! Brandon's story confuses me the most. How in the hell did he think he was in Lynd? I mean you'd have to go out of your way to end up there coming from Canby.
There's probably a simple explanation that a lot of people might not like - he might very well have been drink driving having consumed alcohol at the party. He must have driven that route hundreds of times in his life, how did he suddenly have an accident on that one occasion and then believe he was in a COMPLETELY different location? Why then suddenly start walking, is it to kill time and sober up? It seems to have been a low speed departure from the road and the car was totally undamaged, which is quite common with DUI. It also explains why he called his friends first, because they could help him without his parents or the cops finding out. Or he might have been concussed after banging his head during the crash and become confused? Without his body we'll never know.
He probably had a decline in cognitive function do to what was going at the party. He thought he was okay to drive, but he wasn't. He wasn't panicked when he said , oh shit. It didn't sound like he was being attacked, just like he was about to fall or something. The odd thing is his remains haven't been found.
My face lit up when I saw that you uploaded, my favourite stories would be the mysteries as I am curious to know more about them and the situation that has not been solved. The last mystery however, the sister and the cousin would extremely feel guilt upon their stupid actions costing Joanne’s life
Angela Hammond is a terrible case and I absolutely believe someone knows who did it. Someone knows of the truck with the decal or someone who had one removed from their truck. It's absolutely a solvable case. It breaks my heart for Rob because imagine feeling like you could have saved her or almost did and failed...the truth is he couldn't have or he would have but it's still really hard to process I'm sure. I hope someone will finally come forward and identify the man with the truck..
Another case that comes to mind is Jaycee lee Dugard went to catch the school bus and her Dad hears her scream and seeing being shoved into a car he grabbed a bicycle and gave chase but could not keep up and watched as the car drove out of sight years later they found her living in the guys backyard in a tent with two children fathered by the guy who took her and the car under a tarp was still there
Seeing a thumbnail of a black phone from a scary stories video reminded me of a horror movie that recently dropped called…well, The Black Phone. It’s very well made and suspenseful, and would def recommend it to any horror fans out there. It’s also directed by the same dude behind Sinister and Doctor Strange, and much like Sinister stars Ethan Hawke, albeit as the villain instead of the protagonist.

1. Polygraphs are worthless. 2. "Witness sightings" of kidnapped women are never the victim, unless it's a sighting during the kidnapping. 3. If a victim's grabbed & taken away in a vehicle, she's dead. 4. If a woman disappears and leaves behind her kids, keys, money, cards, car, and phone behind, she didn't leave voluntarily, and she's likely dead already.
There’s an actual case that a woman went missing and someone saw her in the vehicle with the man while she sat on the phone with dispatch and the dispatcher never sent out the location for police to follow up. Some kidnappers hold their victims hostage for days or years. People voluntarily leave their families all the time. The only thing you’re correct on is that polygraphs are worthless.
A few months ago I was listening to the podcast about Angela Hammond case. She was 4 months pregnant when this happened and a huge bad luck that Rob had while he tried to safe his fiance is beyond disturbing...
If the motorcycle caller didn't call back when Dale never showed, that caller should've, and maybe was investigated. Back then, your phone bill would show every phone call and number. I would think they could've followed that trail.
I feel so bad for Joanne. The disinter and cousin were mature enough. I hope they feel the guilt, and they should. They were the main culprits for Joanne’s disappearance.

I heard about the last 3 stories. There’s actually a recording you can find on YT of that one guy walking thru the fields and yelling “oh sh*t”. That last story always makes me wonder how badly did that sister feel knowing the disappearance of her little sister was her fault. Just so tragic.
The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Brandon probably lost his footing and fell into the river. They might not have heard rushing water because he slipped, dropped the phone, and fell into the water. It's also possible to never see a body again if it falls into the river. Or the body floats far away from where they fell in. My grandfather and his friends would go jumping in the river as kids. This was in the 1930s. One of his friends jumped in the water and never resurfaced. They all saw him jump into the water. An undertow got him. The whole neighborhood searched Spokane River and never found his body. Ever. To this day, he has never been found. He has a gravestone in a cemetery in his memory but there was no body for his family to bury. I am so sorry for Brandon's parents. I couldn't imagine being on the phone with my kid at the moment they disappear.

Angela was only a few months older than me, and her story freaked me out so much when I saw it on _Unsolved Mysteries_ (I believe I saw it when the story originally aired). One of the most harrowing reenactments they ever did. I feel so bad for her family and for Rob. (If I remember correctly, Angela was also pregnant.)

The top theory I've seen for Dale Williams' disappearance is that some time after they helped relocate the abused wife/friend, the husband located her, and forced her to comply with a plan to take Dale out, and she was the caller, and the reason why he decided to handle the call by himself in a somewhat far away area I believe which was unusual. Some people actually believe that he sensed the danger over the phone, and that's why he left with so much urgency, because maybe her life was in danger because of this psychotic ex. That seems like a very plausible theory to me.
Angelas case is why i always doubt in calling the police if anything happens. They will immediately shift the blame and put it on you. They need a guilty person and you are there, you are the lucky winner. How many innocent people are in jail because the police needed someone to put the blame on? I believe thousands.

Similar to Joanne's case, I was once locked out of my home by my mom as a child after an ''argument''. It was winter, it was cold and I was left outside on the porch in a thin jacket. I think I waited there for around two hours. I even tried knocking on the door and windows repeatedly but my mom and siblings ignored me. I was crying most of the time and upset so I made the very foolish decision to walk to my grandmother's house who lived a short distance away. The only problem is that child-me considered the walk a ''short distance'' because of the short amount of time it took to drive there in a car. On foot, the journey was two and a half miles and most of the landscape was woodland countryside with houses here and there. Ultimately I was successful in reaching my destination without incident and I scared the shit out of my grandmother when she learned her twelve year old granddaughter had trekked alone in the dark to her house. Looking back, that journey could have very well been my last. I could have been kidnapped, gotten lost in the dark, gotten hurt and stranded or been attacked by wildlife. Not my brightest moment, I'll admit but I was so upset I didn't even think about it, I just started walking. I could have been Joanne.

The fact your mother allowed that to happen is abuse. My crazy mother did similar to me, but I was an adult and lucky for me I had my cousin with me. I was 21…and she came me a curfew of 8:00 pm…8:00 pm even though I was an adult. I was a few minutes late due to traffic and she would not let me in. My cousin was on the phone with my aunt and they allowed me to stay over after seeing how unfair my mom was being. What’s even more ridiculous is that my idiotic mother herself ended up leaving that night because she could not stay by herself in that house. She was afraid. So she went through all the effort of getting ready, packing her stuff, asking my uncle if she he could stay with him, all due to her damn pride. Just to prove a point, just to assert dominance and control. All that when she could have forgiven me for being late and we could have both stayed there. Unsurprisingly she now lives alone and nobody wants her around.
Parents and people in general need to stop locking others out. Joanne is just one tragic case. Another one was the teenage girl her parents locked out, only for Paul and Karla, the Ken and Barbie murderers to kidnap and kill her. I hope the parents still feel guilt.

I heard somewhere that the feeling of grief isn’t from losing someone but it’s from when reality sets in that you were helpless to help them.

For the second story, imagine how scary and traumatic that must have been for her fiancé. Literally being on the phone with her and hearing her scream as she is abducted. Speeding down to see the truck she's in and chasing it down, only to have to watch it drive away.
I saw a similar story on dateline I believe. A guy had just hung up with his fiancee who had said she was just pulling into the driveway. Couple minutes later he heard her scream and watched as she was dragged at gunpoint into a different car. He called 911 but was blamed for her kidnapping because he was basically a criminal and "the boyfriend". Eventually he was cleared and her body later turned up. Poor guy was distraught. The cops definitely cost her her life.

Ive had similar experiences just the kidnapper was stopped before I was fully taking away but on many occasions they had me pretty much n were dragging or carrying me off. I still think about where I’d have been n what would have happened if they succeeded n if no one came to help me. So yes it is very traumatic for me to think about this. So many lives that the world in some ways needed people they were put on earth to help that will no longer have had that opportunity. I was put in many lives to help if something had happened to me that would have never happened. Women n girls for sure are not exposable n useable objects we are souls like men n boys put in the world for some good purpose something individual that each one soul can do in the world that others can’t. Many have been stolen from that role n purpose by self centred people now people will miss out in their life each soul who was abused used squashed or taken from the world. Perhaps it was someone these evil men were meant to meet in later life to help them… or possibly save their life or soul or their loved ones even.

there has been a few attempted murders and trust me they came closer to death than anyone on the planet... and yes the terror, thinking of their children and family is what made it worse than the injuries...to be at the mercy of a sadistic killer has to be the worst way to leave this planet.. one pregnant woman met with another pregnant woman for used baby clothes for sale on craigslist but the woman had a fake belly strapped on, and attacked her, cutting the infant out while she was alive and conscious, her 911 call is unsettling i've never heard anyone sound so weak in my life...and alison botha which is the craziest story i ever heard in my life they did a documentary about her and indeed it was great quality, and then mary vincent who was picked up by a man who had a daughter her age there were photos on dashboard but during the drive tried groping her and she slapped him.. he pulled over saying he was going to take a leak and he knocked her out, when she came to she said please set me free he was retrieving a machete and he cut off both of her arms and said now you are free to go... she only survived cuz she stuck both of her stumps into mud which stopped the bleeding... she was 17 at the time..or 16... they let him out after only a few years and he stabbed someone to death that blood is on the justice system';s filthy hands.. he was clearly a psychopath and should not have ever been let back out.. the last story i am knew to that i may have mixed up some details but u get the idea... imagine living with that trauma.. and lets not forget the horrifying story of joe clark, the baraboo bonebreaker, his victim thad philips barely survived he had severe injuries and been tortured for 2-3 days by this sick 17 year old killer and was only an hour away from death..there is alot of documentaries on that...dave's lemonade did a nice one. It sounds like Dale was an amazing guy, helping a wife of his friend get away from him knowing she was in danger. Not everyone will go against their friends to do the right thing

Unfortunately however, a 10 year old girl was abducted and most likely murdered because of their lack of maturity or foresight. I wasn't defending them; I was just stating a fact. Whatever the case, they are responsible for that 10 year old having gone missing and presumably murdered. I hope they feel guilt for the rest of their lives, otherwise they are horrid, sociopathic women. The story claimed that they got into a fight or disagreement and they locked her out as a "joke." Not allowing her back in was their mistake and the cause of the terrible tragedy that ensued. I'm just not 100% certain if they meant for her to get into the situation she was unfortunate enough to end up in.
Angela's story has haunted for me years. I cannot imagine being Angela or Rob. Seeing her in that man's truck as he's stuck on the road must be an image he can't erase.

People usually treat each other fine as individuals. Adding a third person introduces opportunities to jockey for social security through bullying. I know from personal experience, that sometimes, doing a good deed makes you the suspect. Once, when I was a kid, one of my classmates glasses had gone missing (why he took them off, I have no idea) and ofc, one of us was accused of taking them, so we weren't allowed to leave before they were found.
But, having noticed them earlier on a shelf, I told them so and as a result, I was accused of having hidden them. Yeah, imagine that, doing a good deed and being accused of being the cause of it.
One time in middle school I was running around the track for P.E and saw a lanyard laying in the field. I go to pick it up and its got this girls ID on it. I didn't know her, but I put it in my pocket anyways to hand it in at the office. Right after my pe period was lunch, and my school does this thing where security checks your ID before you can go to the cafeteria. So I get my lunch and when I'm done, I leave the quad heading towards the field. As I'm walking I overhear the security guard giving someone shit for not having their ID on. I look over and see the same girl and her friend talking to the guy. Thinking I was doing a good thing, I walk up and ask the girl if this ID was hers. I tried to explain to her how I found it in the field. They were having none of it. The security guard thought I was her friend and stole the ID to mess with her. And she accused me of stealing it even though we've never met before.

Cell phones could not be traced that well wire tap was what was mostly used and that's for landlines
I've heard and read the Brandon Swanson story dozens of times, and this is the first time I've heard that he was walking _through a field_ rather than along the roadside.
Interesting you never heard/read that. Some theories were he fell into a old well or something being in the dark plus drunk I think and I also heard a farmer(I guess) shoot him cause he was on his property and got rid of the body.
If he was walking on the road it probably would have been easier to figure out what happen to him.
I've read this case dozens of times and this is the first time I've heard that too. This clip also provided a visual as to where he was versus where he thought he was. So it makes sense why his parents didn't find him that night.

Angela was mistaken for the daughter of a drug informant. The man had a daughter who was named Angela and looked just like her. The night Angie was taken, the informant had received a threat.

It's so easy for kids to go missing these days if you're not careful, and this is a good example
I am mad at those kids but also feel awful for them too since they know that they're the reason why Joanne is missing (it's the predators fault, but she shouldn't of been locked out)
And as a person who once lived in a sketchy city as a young teenager, it's scary knowing that others weren't as lucky

Brandon's story is so well-known that someone has to have recreated his last known movements, right? We know where his vehicle was found and exactly how long the phone call was until it abruptly ended. Has anyone gone for that walk at the same time of night, looking for the lights he saw to know they were going in the right direction? It's just crazy that this hasn't been solved yet!
The investigators might have, depending on how thorough they were, since I believe that is standard death investigation stuff. Missing investigations typically seem like they are handled super poorly.

Back in those days it was frequent, and yet abductions like this didn't happen that often. Nowadays when kids are less likely to walk home alone at night abductions seem more common. I don't know why, but there it is.
The oldest was 14. I walked at night with friends younger than that in the 2000s, and this was the 80s. It may seem irresponsible now, but it certainly wasn’t uncommon.
That last story, man… makes me so angry. People my age (born in 1972, in my case) will go on and on about how it was so great when we were kids, how we’d just go out and play until the street lights came on and these kids today, ohhh these kids today, they don’t do anything, just look at the tiktoks and the youtubes and… guh. And the older folks are even worse.
But the reason we watch our kids so closely now is because of crap like this. They act like we were fine because MOST of us came home alive, back when our parents never wondered where we were until sunset. But we were out doing stupid things, learning things we weren’t ready to learn, vulnerable to whoever, some never coming back and some coming back scarred by things we never told our parents. And somehow we count this as a win, we were so much tougher, we weren’t so easily offended, we learned self-reliance, blah blah blah.
Maybe the world is the way it is today for our kids BECAUSE our parents figured we’d make it home unharmed, but as long as we showed up alive, they never really made sure about us being okay… and some of us decided our kids deserved parents who care. And because back in the day, a few poor things fell prey to slimes like the creep who grabbed that little girl, because back then, without any foundation, parents trusted kids not to be savage little monsters. Well, from the years I was bullied at school and dealt with obnoxious siblings at home, I can tell you… never assume your kids would never do something like that… never assume they are too good and responsible to bully a kid to death.
"-As long as we showed up alive, they never really made sure we were okay." that was a powerful statement. Just like the difference between existing and living. I think that no matter what generation you're from (90s for myself) you're going to always have situations like that. You can be the best parent in the world and it's like the world's evil adapts to the changes as we do. It may not be some stranger walking up to by the train tracks, in the woods where you know you probably shouldn't be playing, it's instead some stranger messaging your kid on a chat forum or social media site. It isn't some kid pushing you down or punching you, and then you go home and pretend nothing happened, it's receiving text after text about the many ways you should throw in the towel. A constant barrage of hate, that you can't run from, that you can't just forget exists until you go back to school. Every generation has it's perks and it's disappointments. Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side the sun just hits it different.

These types of stories are truly frightening when you really sit down to think about it. At any given moment, an individual can disappear without a trace forever, leaving law enforcement, families, friends, or the public puzzled as to the cause of the disappearance.
It always leaves me asking the question(s), how is this possible? Do we not have enough of, or even the right clues? Are we looking in the right or wrong place? Did we let the suspect go free, despite passing a polygraph test?
My heart goes out to the families of those who have vanished. ♥️

Reminds me of the Cleveland monster that kept 3 young girls captive for years, until one of them was able to call for help and they were rescued. It sickens me that it might be the case behind many disappearances. 😔
Poly tests don't actually work... in sense, they don't detect if someone is lieing or not, just that if the person is nervous or what not when taking it. Its more a trick then a full proof evidence. If you don't believe me go read up on all of it, I even think the very inventor of the poly disproved it... or was ashamed how police relied on it.

feel like crap is an understatement. It probably destroyed them. Imagine becoming an adult and knowing your sister should have been becoming an adult with you as well. That you will never see her again, never talk with your sister ever again. And then imagine what your sister experienced in those final moments, that someone out there probably did unspeakable things to her and got away with it, that she only knew pain and terror in her final moments and it was all because of your mistake.
There's really nothing that could ever reconcile those feelings, nothing you could ever say to make yourself feel better, I would honestly find it hard to keep living because I'd never be able to forgive myself, and any happy experience I have will be tainted with the fact that they should have been there to experience that with me as well.

These stories are always terrifying. I had a couple close calls being abducted. One time I went to the gas station literally a couple houses down from my house, I walked there when it was pouring rain and a guy pulled beside me and asked me if I needed a ride. Whether or not he meant me harm, it’s situations like that that end badly. Another time when I was older, in high school, I would go for runs down a long road that was decently trafficked but it was also a hit or miss. One neighbor who lives diagonally behind us was driving his creepy white van and was known to have something off about him, was following me. He would turn around his van and come back in my direction. I always had a phone on me back then and pretended to be talking to someone. He did this on multiple occasions until I decided not to go on runs anymore. I always checked my back on runs just in case some stalker was around me. Another time my friend and I were walking around her apartments when a red mustang pulls up beside us and repeatedly tells us to get in. We declined and ran for it. He went onto following us for another few minutes. This was in broad daylight. Creeps are out there, just waiting for their chance

Dang all 4 of these story leave me feeling very sorry for all the victims. Poor Dale going about his typical work day just to go missing. Angela how very talking on the phone to her boyfriend minding her her own business just for some awful person to kidnap her poor her boyfriend too to be wrongly accused of something he didn't do and was trying to help her. Brandon makes me wonder if the lights he saw if they were people with flashlights and he walked on them up to something they were supposed to be doing so they did away with him. Aww poor 10 yr old girl she must have been petrified gosh the sister and cousin I would hate to have their consciences... Smh. Hopefully one day they are all found.. Alive would be amazing, but given how long ago it has been.. If they are found and laid to rest providing family and friends some closure
Yep, with Brandon I think he came across/witnessed something he wasn't supposed to and was taken/murdered for this reason. The dogs traced him to a road and then the scent stopped, implying he was put into a vehicle. His fate after that is unknown but I would suspect he is dead.

There's probably a simple explanation that a lot of people might not like - he might very well have been drink driving having consumed alcohol at the party. He must have driven that route hundreds of times in his life, how did he suddenly have an accident on that one occasion and then believe he was in a COMPLETELY different location? Why then suddenly start walking, is it to kill time and sober up?
It seems to have been a low speed departure from the road and the car was totally undamaged, which is quite common with DUI. It also explains why he called his friends first, because they could help him without his parents or the cops finding out.
Or he might have been concussed after banging his head during the crash and become confused? Without his body we'll never know.

It didn't sound like he was being attacked, just like he was about to fall or something. The odd thing is his remains haven't been found.

Angela Hammond is a terrible case and I absolutely believe someone knows who did it. Someone knows of the truck with the decal or someone who had one removed from their truck. It's absolutely a solvable case. It breaks my heart for Rob because imagine feeling like you could have saved her or almost did and failed...the truth is he couldn't have or he would have but it's still really hard to process I'm sure. I hope someone will finally come forward and identify the man with the truck..
Another case that comes to mind is Jaycee lee Dugard went to catch the school bus and her Dad hears her scream and seeing being shoved into a car he grabbed a bicycle and gave chase but could not keep up and watched as the car drove out of sight years later they found her living in the guys backyard in a tent with two children fathered by the guy who took her and the car under a tarp was still there
Seeing a thumbnail of a black phone from a scary stories video reminded me of a horror movie that recently dropped called…well, The Black Phone. It’s very well made and suspenseful, and would def recommend it to any horror fans out there. It’s also directed by the same dude behind Sinister and Doctor Strange, and much like Sinister stars Ethan Hawke, albeit as the villain instead of the protagonist.
Saw this movie a week or so ago, really enjoyed it! Loved the way Ethan Hawke played his character.
That movie was stupid as fuck! Waste of $27 for me.

Unsolved Mysteries did a reenactment of the second case. I still remember it to this day. Scary how her fiancé was so close
1. Polygraphs are worthless.
2. "Witness sightings" of kidnapped women are never the victim, unless it's a sighting during the kidnapping.
3. If a victim's grabbed & taken away in a vehicle, she's dead.
4. If a woman disappears and leaves behind her kids, keys, money, cards, car, and phone behind, she didn't leave voluntarily, and she's likely dead already.

There’s an actual case that a woman went missing and someone saw her in the vehicle with the man while she sat on the phone with dispatch and the dispatcher never sent out the location for police to follow up. Some kidnappers hold their victims hostage for days or years. People voluntarily leave their families all the time. The only thing you’re correct on is that polygraphs are worthless.

If the motorcycle caller didn't call back when Dale never showed, that caller should've, and maybe was investigated. Back then, your phone bill would show every phone call and number. I would think they could've followed that trail.

I heard about the last 3 stories. There’s actually a recording you can find on YT of that one guy walking thru the fields and yelling “oh sh*t”. That last story always makes me wonder how badly did that sister feel knowing the disappearance of her little sister was her fault. Just so tragic.

The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Brandon probably lost his footing and fell into the river. They might not have heard rushing water because he slipped, dropped the phone, and fell into the water.
It's also possible to never see a body again if it falls into the river. Or the body floats far away from where they fell in. My grandfather and his friends would go jumping in the river as kids. This was in the 1930s. One of his friends jumped in the water and never resurfaced. They all saw him jump into the water. An undertow got him. The whole neighborhood searched Spokane River and never found his body. Ever. To this day, he has never been found. He has a gravestone in a cemetery in his memory but there was no body for his family to bury.
I am so sorry for Brandon's parents. I couldn't imagine being on the phone with my kid at the moment they disappear.

Angela was only a few months older than me, and her story freaked me out so much when I saw it on _Unsolved Mysteries_ (I believe I saw it when the story originally aired). One of the most harrowing reenactments they ever did. I feel so bad for her family and for Rob. (If I remember correctly, Angela was also pregnant.)

The top theory I've seen for Dale Williams' disappearance is that some time after they helped relocate the abused wife/friend, the husband located her, and forced her to comply with a plan to take Dale out, and she was the caller, and the reason why he decided to handle the call by himself in a somewhat far away area I believe which was unusual. Some people actually believe that he sensed the danger over the phone, and that's why he left with so much urgency, because maybe her life was in danger because of this psychotic ex. That seems like a very plausible theory to me.
Angelas case is why i always doubt in calling the police if anything happens. They will immediately shift the blame and put it on you. They need a guilty person and you are there, you are the lucky winner. How many innocent people are in jail because the police needed someone to put the blame on? I believe thousands.
