That sucker had ALL the aftermarket bells and whistles!! Now I have driven my share of quads, dozens of different makes and models, but this machine was something special!! I personally had her up to about 85 (m/ph) and that was only at about 3/4 throttle.. He was clocked by a local cop-friend of his, at 97 (m/ph).. 97 m/ph, on a QUAD!! Not to mention the amazing amount of torque that thing I had.. Yamaha really needs to start producing them again.. WITH the two-stoke engine too! None of this four-stroke nonsense! #BringBackThe2Stroke
That man listed parts and put power bands..lmao you know next to nothing about a motor.. everything has a power band 2 stroke is just way more noticeable..
ship that shweet 815 raptor of yours over here to the states and come explore the trails with us sometime, I will show you around my neck of the woods!
i just purchased a 2011 700r with fmf pipe and power commander 5. i also have a 2001 banshee with dmc pipes. i raced them on a dirt road switching drivers twice and both times the banshee won. not by much but it did. with that being said the raptor is much funner and easier to ride than the banshee plus it has the torque so you don't have to worry about being in the powerband constantly on the trails like on the banshee. raptor much smoother too. Banshee is still my favorite machine ever cause nothing pulls like a banshee hitting powerband in 3rd gear. just get both you'll have the best of both worlds.
Nicholas the size I run is 22x12-9 in the Winter but in the Summer I run 20x10-9 tires for better handling. The 22 inch rears do better in mud and snow but I prefer the 20 inch rears for everyday trail riding.
Racing _52 Thanks! She came dressed that way. Wish I knew the man who originally painted it. Only clue I have is that she has "Wreckless" tagged on her right rear.
banshee is a bad ass machine I had a 98 and I still have a 96 but when it comes to dirt bikes the 450's are killing it I have a crf450 and a yzf250 and a cr250 and the four strokes got me!! at first I was all about the 2 strokes and talking shit about 4 strokes till I rode one and realized how much better I can ride one and how much more comfortable they are on the track or in the desert. If you haven't ridden one try it before you knock it and even the 2015 yzf250 is a nice bike and blows my mind on how good it is all around.
Awesome video man! If I ever decided to sell my 400EX, I would probably get a Raptor 700. By the way, I got about 55 GB's of riding videos this past weekend...Hopefully, I'll have a few of them uploaded later this week.
Nicholas the rear tires are ITP Spider Trac tires. I have not been able to find them anymore. Last year I got some Kenda Bear Claw tires for the YFZ since I couldn't find anyone selling the ITP Spider Trac tires anymore.
Bought a banshee new in 01 and rode stock until 07 when I lucked into a killer deal on a 03 model. Had reeds jets, pipes and gncc holeshots for $700! Yes you read that right $700 from a boys father who discoverd his son built a death machine... if I didn't buy it he said it was heading to the shredder. I traded both for a work truck when I started contracting but I badly want another one tho
Here the deal with these raptor vs banshee vids. Bone stock they have they same hp but raptor has like 15 pounds more torque but weights a little more so yea if you can do math the raptor has a greater power to weight ratio so with perfect traction as say on black top the raptor wins. I have been riding and racing for over 30 years and even Yamaha says the new bikes are king of the trails. And personally I like them both they have there pros and cons and they are both iconic monsters.
I've owned both quads and they both had full mods. Yes the banshee was a beast but the raptor was like Godzilla. The motor on the raptor never would stay together tho.
Some people don't realize that the banshee was still spinning at the finish line 😁. My banshee had a big bore kit and was built from botton to top and the only thing I ever replaced was brakes and tires.
It was just a friendly race between friends. His first day on the raptor. I'm sure it would have been a closer race in different condition. Raptors have a lot of torque and even though they are heavy that can help dig in and grab traction on loose grounds
i know that there's always gonna be people that prefer one over the other and that's fine as long as you're riding and for people that don't really know how two stroke works class wise you times it by 2 so before ama went all 4 stroke the 250 2 strokes would be in the same class as the 450 4 srokes
I smoke banshees all the time on my 450, but still regret getting rid of the old banshee. They are no longer the king of the hill but a one of a kind quad, and the fun level of the 2 stroke is hard to come close to.
That Banshee has pipes which make a big difference. You should be able to start in 2nd racing him on that loose stuff. I had a 421cc long rod kit in mine and a cool head with 13cc domes for high compression plus many other mods. It was awesome except having to pay for 110 octane gas.
Jay 0711 true it was also his first day riding the 700. We were mainly just messing around. My 08 700 with with just a pipe and programmer us fairly even with my Banshee. That gravel we were on was like racing on marbles
You should try, fly to Puerto Rico there is a lot going on with ATVs since early 90s You'll get surprise whit what You can see down there, from dirt tracks, river, atvs camp ground , to the nitro twin 350 up to 700 nitro on race track. Its amazing what they do there. Also they have videos here in U tube
Beautiful Banshee. I love the look and sound of a mostly stock shee. To hell with extended swingarms and shit-- your bike can hit the trails with the best of them and still blow by almost any other stock/mildly modded quad in a drag. Banshees in this condition are harder and harder to come by...
+greasebob Thanks man I love my setup but I will admit I get my ass handed to me out there in the sand drags by those stretched machines. Can't keep my front end down on the launch! But yeah I mainly ride trails so I keep mine setup for that. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Fun life... 2 stroke or die buying... Lt 500 quadzilla is still king and always will be its just a fact(stock and even with your basic mods u can't beat it) there all fun @ the begging and end of the day though) stay golden pony quad ers
I had the luck to ride a Banshee as my first atv! I did full throttle pulls all the way thru 5th gear and pop it in 6th then let off.. Im guessing about 60mph in 5th gear, beast. Also the sound! I will always remember looking behind me because the twin engine sounds like theres a 125cc bike chasing you at all times!! I have to own one, maybe this year.
I had mine topped out around 74 MPH in this video. Never had a long enough stretch of straight road to really open her up ua-cam.com/video/2LyMjclZfCY/v-deo.html
+NicoJay 4WD Done! you have my subscription friend. nice work. I wish ATVs were legal to ride on the streets here also. I'm jealous of that! that is some beautiful country you have to enjoy also. thanks for sharing ua-cam.com/video/Of-sG89nKSo/v-deo.html
+TrailBlogger thank you very much!! of course you have my sub too! yeah its a shame that its not street legal in your country!! But I'm sure you also have fun off the road haha
Blackstar Entertainment nice all the stuff i added is K&N air fliter better/brighter headlight t-4 pro circuit exhaust stronger skid plat and new bumper
TrailBlogger As the rider of that Rapturd which I no longer own this is true. He let me sip from thy sacred Banshee chalice and I have tasted the sweet stink of the 2T exhaust. Do want.
2 strokes for life... 4 strokes for the wife. Lol if you know how to ride the banshee will destroy ALL raptors. I do it all the time. and handle better all around.
please. you must not be going up against anyone that can actually ride. I used to stomp banshees on my stock raptor 660. Also a raptor is the best trail handling 4 wheeler
Banshee rules all around.!!! You have to know how to ride though. I chew up EVERY raptor 660 and 700 when we race even ones with mods. All day long.. mine just has pipes and k&n. Raptors push the front end in the sand and are way to narrow. I own a 660 for my wife. She even says the banshee is wayyy better all around
+Ricky Keen why don't you put a banshee on a motocross track they handle like shit. there heavy and horabal waight blance a trx 250r will destroy a banshee in a straight line and on a track
I own currently a banshee. Previously owned a injected yfz450R. I just finished the ported 4 mil big bore build and I would absolutely take my yfz450R any day over the banshee ...
Any info on those headlights would be appreciated. Obviously they are KC's but which model and how did you mount them? Love how they are chromed out like that
+Jim Jones The previous owner had them mounted up using a custom bar. It basically mounts to the stock locations and then has two vertical post holes for mounting standard spot lights with. I can post a pic for you in just one minute. I actually took the KC lights off to try out some LED light bars but I think I am going back to them. The lights are KC Daylighters off Amazon, I have had to replace them both over time during the last couple of wrecks. One is a spot beam and one is a fog beam, I shut right spot off when I want to run in heavy fog and just run the single left light which is the fog beam. I mounted a tiny toggle switch under the spot for turning that off with. If you don't get an aftermarket high output stator they will dim down when you are just idling which is one reason I decided to try out the LED light bars because they draw far less power. The LEDs work great but flicker a little since I haven't done the DC conversion and also don't have an onboard battery. Now KC is making a drop in replacement LED bulb for their Daylighter spotlights which is what I want to try next. They are not cheap! I will post some links to the stuff I am talking about below.
+TrailBlogger Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah man post up some detailed pics when you get a chance. I love the color scheme you got going on there and like i said i love those chrome lights. Also would love some info on the gauge you have on the right side.
+Jim Jones Here is a link to the 6" halogen type KC HiLiTES 633 Daylighters on amazon www.amazon.com/KC-HiLiTES-633-Daylighter-Driving/dp/B0007O8S4Y/ref=sr_1_9/178-0616803-6659325?ie=UTF8&qid=1452619746&sr=8-9&keywords=kc+hilites+130w
+Jim Jones Here is a link to the 6" LED drop-in replacement conversion bulbs that KC now sells for the Daylighters. I want to get a pair of these so I can go back to using my chrome housings but have the benefit of running low draw LED light the light bars: www.kchilites.com/6-gravity-led-drop-in.html
+Jim Jones This is a link to the 12" chinese LED light bar I have been experimenting with: www.amazon.com/Auxbeam-7200lm-Waterproof-Camper-Off-road/dp/B00T7GYDTC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1452622383&sr=8-2&keywords=24%22+led+light+bar
TrailBlogger I'm sure its for real, its a proper bike shop but that price is crazy! I've got a yamaha tri z myself & I'm looking for a banshee to sit next to it. nice machine by the way, the sound must be addictive with two cylinders.
not my quad, it was a buddy's. I hate stock pipes. heavy and restrictive. Yosh does make a great pipe and that's what he eventually got I believe. thanks for watching.
thanks for watching, i had way better tires for the weird hard pack with gravel out there. its like riding on marbles. that and it was literally his first day on the new machine so he was hesitant on the throttle. probably be pretty close now with the same tires.
Dude dont know how to ride the 700 raptor fuel injected ive raced them for years an yeah banshees are fast but the raptor had always had the top end an id u know how ro ride them then the raptor can have the beginning an end
I have a 2002 banshee I want to keep it running cool, what are some mods I can do to it, a oversized is my 1st thought. Whats a good brand and I'm here in Florida I want to go trail riding where u go, you make the trail ride look like a breeze rifing the bsnshee lol...
Geroy Randolph I run a standard sized radiator. I would make sure your water pump impeller is in good shape and that the water pump bearing and seal are good. If that is all good then you might try changing your jetting. If you quad is overheating a lot you might be running too lean and need larger jets.
Im about to fix up my dads old 1987 banshee 😊. The engine overheated a long time ago and seized, im going to try to rebuild or replace it and get it running again. They are lots of fun to ride, if you ever plan on getting another one id reccomend you do it soon, prices are skyrocketing... 🥴. Lots of people rebuilding and reselling them right now
+matty6032 Actually the banshee was sold in australia right up until 2010 I believe whereas they stopped being sold in the USA in 2006 so it should actually be easier to find one in good shape there compared to here- but then again I have never been to australia so I am purely speculating.
It's not that one is faster than the other, they both have their advantages. Four stroke engines take straight gas and tend to have more torque and low end grunt. Two stroke engines require pre-mix two stroke oil in the gasoline and make a lot of power once they are revved higher up in the RPM range. If I were just a beginner looking for a decent quad to learn on I would go with a Yamaha Warrior 350 or Raptor 350 if you want a four stroke or a Blaster 200 if you want a two stroke. Neither the Banshee 350 nor the Raptor 700 are what I would call a good beginners bike.
What kind of headlights are on your banshee? I am saving up for a banshee and really like the looks of yours! Are they stock headlights with kc covers? And if so, which covers are they?
JOE AGUA I was lucky enough to find a used pair on ebay. They are not cheap ($79 each) but Toomey sells them on their website here: www.toomey.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_funky.tpl&product_id=42&category_id=4&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=3 You can also get them from Rocky Mountain ATV here www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/904/2878/Toomey-ATV-Spark-Arrestor-3.0
Oh okay yea there pricey thanks for the answer i subscribed You have a really nice banshee also i want to change the transmission oil on my banshee I just bought what oil do you recommend?
I actually use Autozone ATF type F transmission fluid. It's blood red. www.autozone.com/motor-oil-and-transmission-fluid/transmission-fluid/autozone-1-qt-type-f-automatic-transmission-fluid/7396_0_0/
I love your banshee especially the sound I like the 2 stroke. I have a 06 raptor 350 but I'm looking to trade up to a banshee 350. I like my raptor but I think I'll like a banshee 350 a little Better I'm looking for an 80's model because they don't have all of the Mud Guards on it and i like that style better
I had my highly modified 2005 Raptor 350 stolen last week :-( However, in its place; I upgraded to a 2008 Raptor 700R SE and though I love the huge bump in power, I like the suspension tuning even more!
Nope, but the 700R SE is. In fact, I may have already totaled it through a freak accident, but if so: I will buy it for salvage and effect the repairs myself with race-grade components--who cares if the plastics are scuffed ;-)
In my opinion a 700r is a good quad just because of its looks, But a banshee has 2x of everything so the banshee would loose if u had a bigger straight stretch
Take note the Raptor has stock exhaust which means no mods. The Banshee has aftermarket pipes.Put a power commander and exhaust on the Raptor and it will be a different story.
I agree. it was slightly unfair. plus it was literally his first time riding that particular raptor. we were mainly just messing around seeing who was faster.
I love both quads yamaha is #1
The Banshee is the single greatest ATV ever produced! My Uncle had a 95' back when I was a teen, and that was one scary machine, boy! He had it bore out, power-bands, ported and polished, had an FMF exhaust system, some type of state-of-the-art (for its time) coolant system....
None of this four-stroke nonsense! #BringBackThe2Stroke

That's because your uncle never had Raptor!!!!!
That man listed parts and put power bands..lmao you know next to nothing about a motor.. everything has a power band 2 stroke is just way more noticeable..
@@BrynhurstSixOwei do love my 700r pretty chill machine to ride
Do love the Banshee epic machine!
ship that shweet 815 raptor of yours over here to the states and come explore the trails with us sometime, I will show you around my neck of the woods!
Love the smell and sound of a banshee...
Can't beat the sound or performance of an old two stroke
That tinny copper sound is addicting
+Supah BIlly! Hell yeah it is
thats why i always have atleast one 2 stroke in my garage.
#mixingasforlife
+James Smith I'd love to get my hands on an old 86 atc250r. That or one of the old trx250r's.
The banshee was the greatest thing ever made even better than condoms
LOL! that has to be the most random comment in TrailBlogger history
TrailBlogger was it a good random or a bad random
M40A3 DziRe made me laugh for sure, about snorted out my coffee
TrailBlogger lol good. I came up with that in the time it took you to beat that raptor

This is a badass video. You should make another one of these videos. lit🔥🔥.#1banshee

gearing. the engine power needs to be converted to wheel torque in order to compare acceleration.
Yeah i had a Kawasaki kfx 700 4 stroke... and it was bad ass had its pro and cons just like you are said...
But because of the engine type the banshee gets to top speed way faster
I've owned both quads and they both had full mods. Yes the banshee was a beast but the raptor was like Godzilla. The motor on the raptor never would stay together tho.

Banshee still king?
Most banshees are faster today than stock because they are all worn out and had to be bored out lol they sound like a nasty chainsaw I love it.

I am a crosser and just want a banshee for that engine... Thing is just plain cool.
They are still king of the hill just if you have the money to build them you see 18 Mill banshees smoking turbo raptors at the dunes
Banshee is by far the badest quad ive ever riddin, bad mfr, that 2stroke powerband kneckbreaker, scary and so damn fun.
Banshee..No hay mejor quad.Inigualable.Supremo.Irrepetible.Fascinante.Irrompible.

That stock Raptor sure held its own against a nodded Banshee.
True, I'm sure if it were a bone stock banshee it would have been closer (or if the Raptor were modded)
TrailBlogger Modded raptors CAN be pretty awesome but two strokes invented the braaap
Lovin the banshee. 2 strokes for ever. will never sell my 06. Where are you guys riding??
We are in Northern California

I rode a 660 Raptor several years ago. I was so disappointed after about 2 minutes I parked it. Totally unimpressed.
Try riding a 700 raptor, they’re much speedier and better than the 660

Hey trail blogger I'm 13 and have a 2004 yamaha warrior 350 T-4 exhaust good quad??
Craig Sanders i have a yamaha rtz 450
Nice
Craig Sanders i have a '89 warrior 350 its pretty badass with some mods but lacks newer tech of the newer yamahas
Blackstar Entertainment nice all the stuff i added is K&N air fliter better/brighter headlight t-4 pro circuit exhaust stronger skid plat and new bumper
I just bought the Banshee. Going from a 200cc four stroke to this. Wish me luck
Good luck!
I like the 350
That banshee is tight af
ثاني روند ولله البانشي كان يقدر يفوز بس هو خلاه الي معي لايك
Allahu Akbar
I like how they only showed the banshee going up one little hill and they slowed it down to look like he had it under control.
+Mike Miller Actually I slowed it down to show how out of control it got at the top. That trail was rocky as hell. Fun little spot.
That guy needs to cross over to the two stroke side of the force. Were a lot more fun... And we have beer
HAHA I already let him test ride the Banshee and he is hooked. He sold the Raptor and is talking about getting a Banshee now.
TrailBlogger As the rider of that Rapturd which I no longer own this is true. He let me sip from thy sacred Banshee chalice and I have tasted the sweet stink of the 2T exhaust. Do want.
They have that effect on people. Still cant believe you sold the turd though
nice video i just love the yamaha raptor 700 and this is a beautifull atv to drive
2 strokes for life... 4 strokes for the wife. Lol if you know how to ride the banshee will destroy ALL raptors. I do it all the time. and handle better all around.
Banshees are fast in a straight line but not all that good a turning hahaha
+Roman Palombo Mine turns just fine :-D ua-cam.com/video/QkZCJanhkwA/v-deo.html
please. you must not be going up against anyone that can actually ride.
Why???
Banshee banshee banshee
Banshee was the fastest quad I've riden and I've rode a few Hondas and yamahas, can ams
Not much sounds better than a banshee!
I agree the 700 sounds good I own the same quad but something about the ping and the smoke lol
+TrailBlogger
Thanks for the quick reply.
+Jim Jones This is a link to the 12" chinese LED light bar I have been experimenting with: www.amazon.com/Auxbeam-7200lm-Waterproof-Camper-Off-road/dp/B00T7GYDTC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1452622383&sr=8-2&keywords=24%22+led+light+bar
you cant fuck with a banshee......dumbest thing they ever did is quit making the bad ass two stroke engine....!!!!!
Agreed. I have wrote them on facebook a few times asking if they would bring back the Banshee but no response.

***** Wow thanks for the link. I wonder if that is for real?? Do you know anyone who has ordered through them?
TrailBlogger I'm sure its for real, its a proper bike shop but that price is crazy! I've got a yamaha tri z myself & I'm looking for a banshee to sit next to it. nice machine by the way, the sound must be addictive with two cylinders.
Don't blame Yamaha, blame the EPA GESTAPO
Just some personal advice. I think it makes things much easier for me when I leave only two fingers each on my clutch and break.
good deal

What kind of rear tires are you running on the banshee? and are they durable?
Dude that 700 sounds like a bitch. That stock exhaust makes it sound like a Utility Quad. Put a Yoshimura on that beast
not my quad, it was a buddy's. I hate stock pipes. heavy and restrictive. Yosh does make a great pipe and that's what he eventually got I believe. thanks for watching.
awesome slo-mo , hitting it hard
350 cc. Vs 700 cc
Two strokes rule
Till you have to start it in the cold
MetalGearedAirsoft My banshee usually starts first kick hot or cold.
TrailBlogger both r great quads
i have never had a problem starting my 2 strokes.
They rule in the world of chain saws and RC cars. Everything else, not so much.
Iv a Yamaha 700 I’m happy with the power it breaks lose in 5th gear from all the torque it’s a mid range rpm monster
banshee's quicker cuz its lighter.
And because it's a banshee
Raptor 700 will beat it in a long race by a long shot
craig howard nahhh its because its a 350 twin 2stroke a banshee is the most badass qaud ever made next to the lt500 qaudzilla
Maybe stock for stock bUT build for build I can make a banshee out run a street bike that raptor ant good for anything.
I may or may not be getting a banshee it’s still up in the air but it’s like new and only 2800 I’m seeing how low she will go
poor craptor didn't have a chance against the legend
The banshee gets him out of the hole, the Raptor would get him on the big end
Nice quads
thanks for watching, i had way better tires for the weird hard pack with gravel out there. its like riding on marbles. that and it was literally his first day on the new machine so he was hesitant on the throttle. probably be pretty close now with the same tires.
I’ll take my Honda 250ex over these any day
that's cool, if we ever race I will just disconnected one of my spark plugs to make it more fair for your cute little 250 x-D
Sure miss my 97 Banshee! Sold it for 2500$ back in 2001 and bought a snowmobile. Big mistake.
🥴. Lots of people rebuilding and reselling them right now
On pavement the raptor would win just to much power to over come.
Tammy Forbes Maybe... maybe not
Tammy Forbes banshee would smoke the raptor.
Tammy Forbes banshee would smoke the raptor.
theultimategoatfan you dumb?
nah, that moment when your 2012 10 grand 4 stroke gets smoked by a ten year old 2 stroke.
Are you using the stock sized rear rims, and what dimensions for the bear claws.
Thanks.
Gettin down in the Banshee 🤙
wow thats crazy what it can do but im guessing they would be a arm and leg for them expespecially in australia
+matty6032 Actually the banshee was sold in australia right up until 2010 I believe whereas they stopped being sold in the USA in 2006 so it should actually be easier to find one in good shape there compared to here- but then again I have never been to australia so I am purely speculating.
Im a beginner st ATVS trying to get 1 either s banshee or a raptor but a type of fuel in each tank makes them go faster then the other?
It's not that one is faster than the other, they both have their advantages. Four stroke engines take straight gas and tend to have more torque and low end grunt. Two stroke engines require pre-mix two stroke oil in the gasoline and make a lot of power once they are revved higher up in the RPM range. If I were just a beginner looking for a decent quad to learn on I would go with a Yamaha Warrior 350 or Raptor 350 if you want a four stroke or a Blaster 200 if you want a two stroke. Neither the Banshee 350 nor the Raptor 700 are what I would call a good beginners bike.
OHHH... intresting thx man :) i think illl get a raptor 350 if i could find a dealer place tht has it...
What kind of headlights are on your banshee? I am saving up for a banshee and really like the looks of yours! Are they stock headlights with kc covers? And if so, which covers are they?
HappyAK47Lover They are KC Daylighters Link -> www.kchilites.com/lights/daylighter.html
Dat banshee sounds so goooooooooood.
Thanks man
Hey where did you get those spark arrestor for the t5s? I need a pair
I was hoping for a review comparing the two ATVs
I love your banshee especially the sound I like the 2 stroke. I have a 06 raptor 350 but I'm looking to trade up to a banshee 350. I like my raptor but I think I'll like a banshee 350 a little Better I'm looking for an 80's model because they don't have all of the Mud Guards on it and i like that style better
I like 2 strokes but the high end on a 4 stroke is no joke. Banshee can't keep up once you hit high speeds.
Gerardo Valenzuela what are you talking about?? banshees are more top end than bottom end.
Anyone to pick a raptor 700 over a banshee is fucking nuts! Braaaaaaaappp🔥🔥
And here I am riding a stock blaster xD
Blasters are sweet nothing wrong with that
Blasters are perfect brother nothing bad with it !! Have fun
I want to get a banshee are they good for a small track?
I had my highly modified 2005 Raptor 350 stolen last week :-(
However, in its place; I upgraded to a 2008 Raptor 700R SE and though I love the huge bump in power, I like the suspension tuning even more!
Well that sucks they stole your 350 but awesome you were able to get another though. Was the 350 insured?
Where are these trails? Love the view seems like a badass ride
