I gotta admit, that looks pretty good. I like it, but if it came down to buying it, that might be a bit too much for my low profile way of carrying myself. My G82 M4 is in Portimao Blue, which is a more traditional metallic blue - just love it! Great video though.
I've got a Grigio Telesto coming next week, it sails into Southampton tomorrow and then needs cleared through customs and shipped up here to Newcastle so it'll be a few days. It took me a while to settle on the colour, but one of the reasons I went for this colour is I already know it'll be rare. A lot of the other colours are too shouty for me, they look striking... Sao Paolo yellow, Java green, Voodoo blue, they look nice maybe because they're new and different, but I don't think I'd want to live with a colour like that for 3-4 years or more. Plus I'm 44, my days of driving a radge bright yellow or green car are behind me, that's just a me thing. The Twilight purple is proper classy but it's seen a lot on standard 2 series models which takes away some of the exclusivity for me.
They are definitely different enough but for some reason I can’t immediately tell this car apart from the 240i with out pausing to look for specific visual cues
Did it add time to your order? And did you have to order the carbon roof? I’m looking at ordering one in the next few weeks but a dealer said that I could get it in roughly the same amount of time and with the sunroof. But, all I’ve seen otherwise is the opposite
Ohhhh I've got a Grigio M2 coming next week, when does yours arrive? Are you in the UK? I'm trying to find out if mine is one of the first to arrive here, I saw the nationwide incoming stock shipments and there was only 2 coming this year I think! edit - just saw you replied to someone else saying yours was still waiting to get manufactured. I bought one which was pre-ordered by a dealership and already on a boat over here from Mexico, I would have had to wait until April to get one ordered bespoke. But imo there wasn't a lot of point in that as there isn't a great deal of options to pick, so it was really easy to find one I was happy with that was already on its way here.
@@Neil3Dyeah I’m not gonna see mine until end of March or April :( which is ok, I’m in the us in Colorado so it’s turning winter here anyway. I’m having fun stocking up parts until it comes haha
@@ScottGaritson Ahhhh that's interesting, I would have thought with production being moved to Mexico that would make for a faster lead time for NA customers. What parts are you getting for it? I've been looking at the DRL colour mod but I can't decide if it's too tacky. Also want the carbon parts but it might look crap if you only get a few of them, and the full kit is eye wateringly expensive!
@@Neil3Dyeah my dealer had a allocation when I ordered but the color makes it a lot longer, something about they can’t paint the color in Mexico. I ordered a new lower front bumper piece that paint matches the bottom of the black part of the bumper. I got the carbon air inlets from tre. Lowering springs and spacers. And I got a super simple carbon aero kit, splitter, shirts and diffuser. Do you do Instagram? I’d love to get some videos of yours when it arrives. So hard finding any content on this color. I also did the carbon seats and roof which I think adds lead time as well.
Twilight Purple looks great. That squarish front fascia (jawline) that BMW put on the current M2 still doesn't cut it. I guess it could be worse and have the i4 grill too.
So colour is a hugely subjective thing but I just don’t want a purple car. I see a lot of people liking the Thundernight but it’s not for me personally. I’ve ordered mine in Grigio Telesto - I’m sure lots of people wouldn’t want that either ! But word of warning - it costs more which you may be aware of (£3,600 + VAT) but also puts 13 weeks on delivery. They can’t paint it that colour in the Mexican factory so it is ordered in a cost free colour (white) then shipped elsewhere for painting. So delivery not till June / July 2025. But it’ll be worth the wait and I’m in no rush.
There are 4 "special" colors that cost more. Twilight Purple, Java Green, Voodoo Blue, and Grigio Telesto. Those colors also require you to purchase carbon fiber roof...at least in the states. Like you said, color is subjective...and how you feel about Purple I feel about another grey car on the road. The world is filled with them. Would rather add some color in my life.
@ I completely understand that - and had the same thought, there is a lot of grey out there. My daughter said no to grey for the M2 for that reason. I currently have a Z4 in San Fran red and it’s a great colour, bright and fun. I was going to order the M2 in Fire Red but just not sure that colour works for the M2. I think the Grigio Telesto does look good on the M2 - personal view and if other people have chosen grey for their cars then that shouldn’t influence my choice. My daughter has also given me her approval for this choice - very important !! I also want a carbon fibre roof so that makes no difference. First world problems…
looks fkin amazing man
I think the red calipers actually go better with this color.
Might be a clash
@@bmwblog at least we can agree on the purple over the green.
BEAUTIFUL !!!🔥☀️

Taking delivery of my skyscraper grey m2 on December 9th 😮💨
I saw it at the plant, looks cool

Colors are subjective anyway. There is no right or wrong answer. For example, I'm 44 and I love bold colors on cars, but boring colors on clothes
@@bmwblog I know... which is why I said too shouty 'for me' and the rest of it was spoken from my subjective point of view
They are definitely different enough but for some reason I can’t immediately tell this car apart from the 240i with out pausing to look for specific visual cues
Portimao blue with silver wheels is the best combo and it's not even close
Can you try and find a Voodoo Blue example to film? I want one in that colour I think.
The perfornance sticker on the front bonnet is wrongly aligned 😅
It looks good except I would not accentuate the pollen sacs on the back bumper by sticking more junk on them.
Dark colors particularly black are the best on the car for that very reason
Voodoo blu it's sick color too
One of the good ones for sure
RIP 1stockf30 Andre 🙏🏻😔😢
He didn’t drive an M2.
@ m240i same color bro 😔still don’t feel real
@ I feel like a kid again when Jordan retired NBA and when Kobe past away 🙏🏻😔
Black still looks the best on this generation of M2 imo
Just ordered one in black sapphire 😊
Looks great, ordered the same color... but the blue stripes and the extra carbon crap looks awful

It’s just to show the M performance offerings
Ugh I'm still waiting for my mine to start production.
Same
Same
Supposedly they do the special colors in batches so if you're waiting then we're all going to get ours at the same time
@@curtdragon It'll be worth the wait. It's so gorgeous.
Waiting for my gregio m2 😬

Why is this not a option for the m3?
The color? It is via BMW Individual
nice but portimao is my fav

Sorry I can see this special purple pulling extra cost, but grey? BMW's gotta be one of the very few manufacturers that charges a premium for grey.
