Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this type of format documenting a trip with over the top editing and quality filming. It may not be what UA-cam is all about today, but imo this is your signature and why I’ve watched your channel for years. Thank you, Sam!
Gosh, the honesty in the middle about the 296's issues and the honesty at the end about the 750s' positives compared to this car was thankfully refreshing. iv heard way too many shills saying the 296 is "THE BEST" thing you can buy and then they completely ignore the customers complaining about the issues and they ignore the plummeting prices. beautifully filmed and honest to the best of his abilities😂 Well done Sam
Plummeting prices? I mean anyone who thinks they won't lose any money on it is a moron, the depreciation is normal for the cars. Unless the depreciation is abnormal for some reason
Lovely edit Sam 👌 At Lizard Point I once locked the keys to my Evora in its boot - cue absolute meltdown (being as far away from anything as you can get!) but luckily managed to get in with the emergency latch. Anyway, this brought back memories (good & bad!) and I’m glad you enjoyed the trip 👍😎
Ahh an old school style vid. Dreamy, I am probably alone in this but the pan around the car in the parking lot made me wish it was a DB12 Volante in the same setting.
This is the return to the types of videos that got me hooked on this channel in the first place. Thank you. Beautiful scenery, beautiful car. Now I need another cup of coffee.
Have been watching since the 4C POVlog days, and this is the first time I comment on one of your video's I believe because; wow, Sam this video was amazing. You are the only automotive youtuber I watch regularly and this video was an absolute treat!
Still baffles me how STG is still a one man show (from what I understand)! Filming, cameras, driving, editing all done by one man..... to this standard? Yeh... 10/10
This video style is such a breath of fresh air in the UA-cam automotive space. Very sincere and considerate delivery of a unique subject in a more human and relaxed style, not the frantic and often over-the-top style that seems to be so prevalent now in YT videos. Great cinematography and great editing, keep it up Sam!
Yep - The worst steeringwheel in the history of Ferrari. Used to make som of the best ones ever... Sam you said it right - super overcomplicated. The 812 superfast steeringwheel was amazing. Modern but still keeping the iconic red starter button as an ACTUAL button!
In recent weeks I’ve been rewatching some of your old content reminiscing on when I first started watching your channel picking up the 4C. You’re a gem on UA-cam that has consistently delivered incredible content, we’re lucky to have you
3:55transformer part😎. Thatswhat im talkin bout. That car is so delicious to drive. Lookin like parmesan. Every moment you drive i bet it felt like heaven. Isnt it.☺️
Amazing video as always! It was cool to see you coming the other way in Helston on Tuesday morning whilst I was having a driving lesson. My instructor was slightly confused by the hi-pitched noises I made as I realised it was you! Keep up the top notch content as always :)
It's great that you can avoid annoying people in the morning. But all those bibs and bongs made me hate that car, less than a minute into the video. Still an awesome video though. 😊
I love this type of video. I just did a 220 mile round trip for BBQ here in Blue Ridge Mountains in the US in my 911. I wanted to try another BBQ place and the drive there and back - chefs kiss. Then I got home and get to see the UK version of my day.
This really was a nice video to watch on a Sunday afternoon Sam. Liked it a lot. Having recently driven the 296 and got a V12 Lusso instead I think its interesting to point out that due to shocking modern Ferrari depreciation you can now have pair of 4 year old hardly used Ferrari's for the price of a new 296. Its bonkers but a last of the line 350k new 2020 Lusso V12 AND a 2019 488 Spider for the same money. These pair of 4 or 5 year olds will deprecate less than the new 296 and give you just as many smiles, if not more. This all makes the nearly used Ferrari market a comparative bargain!
Great video Sam, shot in my home county so real love for this film, definitely have to check out the coffee shop very soon. Pretty honest review, as a lucky owner of a GTS agree with most of it. The haptic controls get better with time we found especially on a longer road trip, after a week it just becomes easier as you get used to them, but agree a bit of a pain. Great Sunday viewing at our favourite coffee shop in La Cala Spain, if you're here La Canasta serves great coffee and cake. 😎🏁
Great video Sam! apple car play making you lose the famous rev counter is a real issue - thankfully on the roma apple car play is on the centre screen and you get to enjoy the rev counter
Wow. Sam, this has to be the best Video for quite some time from you. Great review, astonishing landscape shots and imo the prettiest car from Ferrari of the last decade. Alpine a290 next please.
If you hold the back button as opposed to multiple pressing it immediately takes you back to the main tach screen. You do not have to keep pressing the back button multiple times. Its still not great but faster just pressing and holding. You can also just adjust things using the speech recognition which is not too bad...
If the UA-cam thing doesn't work out, your backup job could be a Cinematographer!! Once again the visuals in this vid are stunning!! Especially around Lizards Point!! Absolutely Gorgeous!! 💗💗💗 Xx
With a grey blanket sky and drizzle, that video was a pleasant interlude, The 296 isn’t remotely attainable for me but fortunately I don’t desire it either, great review
Sam, beautiful video, I can't help but think that the 296 would be a better car without the hybrid system and 150lbs lighter. As for coffee, I live in Costa Rica, come try our coffee. Great place to get a used defender and go on an adventure with Tony
So, I drove from Kamloops to Whistler, British Columbia, in Canada on Highway 99. Sam, you have to try it one day. Straight up, it's one of the best driving roads in the world and one of the best driving experiences I've had ... in my C8 Corvette Convertible. I pretty much duplicated the kind of drive you did in this video, top down and everything. However, Sam, the last video you did with the Corvette you had such a hate on for it, it was almost unbearable to watch as an owner of one. My car only cost $115k with a thunderous V8, while the 296GTS is $550k. The C8 doesn't have any of the issues you complain about in this video, and my car is fully nappa leather and alcantara from top to bottom and real buttons for all the climate controls, including for heated and cooling seats, with flawless Apple Carplay. Sure, it's no Ferrari, but for many average people here, the C8 Corvette is plenty good, and in higher models, absolutely great. I'm amazed by how little attention your Ferrari drew from bystanders in this video. When I drive my C8 Corvette in Canada, it always draws a crowd. I'm going to simply chalk all this up to the fact that people in the UK specifically, are suffering from supercar fatigue. I have a friend from the UK who now lives here and he straight up tells me more and more people in the UK are getting fed up of supercars because it's a visible representation of the divide between the haves and the have-nots which is very big in the UK and getting bigger because of a dated feudal based class system that has existed for hundreds of years. Due to this and because of the volume of these cars in the UK, it's no longer anything special. To top it off, you yourself have driven so many special and high end cars - many of which you're in a better position to afford than most normal people - I feel you have simply been spoiled, focusing more on the cache offered by a vehicle's brand and it's history as a large part of the driving experience, as opposed to the genuine experience offered by a quality sports car. I've watched your channel for 7 years now, and although I always enjoy your production quality (you are spectacular at it mate), I have to admit, the car portion of your reviews have no longer been as down to earth as they used to be. That hate you had on the C8, when you are so forgiving of almost every other car (especially Ferraris, and McLarens), honestly truly defies explanation. Sorry, as a loyal viewer, I finally had to say something mate, especially because it seems I had way more fun in my ruddy little Corvette than what I saw you had in this Ferrari video.
This format is typically STG and I love it. This and Harry's Garage on a Sunday is as good as it gets! Have a great week Sam and fellow viewers!
Luke too
Totally agree
RetroPower also.
I’d add Tyrell’s classic workshop to that list and you may spot a few of Mr M’s Cars in.
Also a Late Brake Show Barn Find

750s is a piece of shi... the 296 is another level! Many off my clients have and love it!
@@MarcSob22 everyone is entitled to their opinion mate. its good that your friends like theirs
It's a ferrari, it's meant to have issues
@@MarcSob22 what are you basing that off of? I recently drove the 750s for my channel and thought it was great.

Most shocking thing about this video is driving such a distance for that coffee and then adding oat milk 😳😉
This is the return to the types of videos that got me hooked on this channel in the first place. Thank you. Beautiful scenery, beautiful car. Now I need another cup of coffee.
Always the best stg video format, excellent work as usual Sam 👍
Have been watching since the 4C POVlog days, and this is the first time I comment on one of your video's I believe because; wow, Sam this video was amazing. You are the only automotive youtuber I watch regularly and this video was an absolute treat!
£9 for a sandwich WTF

Your videos always lift my mood and make me forget about problems. Thank you for your ability to make us happy!🍐🦆🐄
Classic STG video on a glorious autumnal Sunday afternoon. We love to see it. Thank you!
You get me ready for the lazy sunday with all the high tier cinematic scenes you shoot Sam! Veteran subscriber here!

It's impossible to overlook the quality and effort you put into creating this video! Great cinematography and story telling! Thank you!

Sam your videography is on point! Love your content, keep it up mate 👍
In our Mazda CX5 you hit 1 button for heated seats it 0.09 second. You don’t have to pull over and take an hour lol
In most cars
Brilliant Cinematics !! Only found in STG videos 👌🏼
Wow great video Sam, Really enjoyed watching this 🙌🏽
In recent weeks I’ve been rewatching some of your old content reminiscing on when I first started watching your channel picking up the 4C. You’re a gem on UA-cam that has consistently delivered incredible content, we’re lucky to have you
Love the 4C!
Why would you buy a £400K Ferrari? It's a great car, but it's alot of money, and alot of depreciation.
Love how you made a cold autumn couple of days in England pop with wonderful videography and a cracking story, some how I seem to want a Peroni now😂
3:55transformer part😎. Thatswhat im talkin bout. That car is so delicious to drive. Lookin like parmesan. Every moment you drive i bet it felt like heaven. Isnt it.☺️
Mr Through Glass, the cinematography on this one is amongst your very best. Outstanding
Kudos for not becoming complacent. The production value of your videos just keeps getting better and better. Keep it up! 1M subs is near!!!
Amazing video as always! It was cool to see you coming the other way in Helston on Tuesday morning whilst I was having a driving lesson. My instructor was slightly confused by the hi-pitched noises I made as I realised it was you! Keep up the top notch content as always :)

Still an awesome video though. 😊
What a lovely sweet leafy video. Makes me want to do that trip myself!
Sam, I'm not a fan of the car, but the format and quality (most of all) of this video wouldn't let me stop watching 😅 - Top work again!
Sam, that is beautifully filmed and edited with some discreet music that makes it feel 'TV professional' - fabulous.
I love this type of video. I just did a 220 mile round trip for BBQ here in Blue Ridge Mountains in the US in my 911. I wanted to try another BBQ place and the drive there and back - chefs kiss. Then I got home and get to see the UK version of my day.
Okay, the shot at 13:30 dropped my jaw, it's amazing! Keep it up!
The montage at 13:30 is why seen through glass is one of the best car channels on UA-cam 🙌
Beautiful video Sam. In addition to the car review aspect, top notch image capture and editing stuff. Congrats!
Best cinematography! Great job and thank you for putting in such effort.

Bravo Sam! It's such a great video. Keep doing what you love to do, and everyone will follow!
Great cinematic work Sam, Can’t wait for the special version of the 296. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
Another great video Sam, I think this is your signature format that I got hooked to all those years ago! 🙌🏼
That parking sensor chime at the beginning would drive me nuts
Yep, it’s for people who can’t drive… it’s really sad seeing these features in what is supposed to be a drivers car.
The montage and music at 13:30 is just great! Love your shots, Sam!
What a perfect way to start the Sunday☕️🏎️🤌🏼. Thank you Sam!
Another fantastic production Sam and just test drove a new 296 myself: I think your review is spot on.
Great video Sam, shot in my home county so real love for this film, definitely have to check out the coffee shop very soon. Pretty honest review, as a lucky owner of a GTS agree with most of it.

One of my favourite places in the world and yes the coffee is great. Fab video and nice car. Keep up the good work Sam!
This video is superb Sam! One my highlights from your videos from this year!
Please keep up the superb work!
Amazing edit. Amazing content. Another great piece of UA-cam car content. Congrats, Sam!
Top notch cinematography and storytelling, as always Sam! Beautifully shot, and you hardly look poisoned! 😂
Great video Sam! apple car play making you lose the famous rev counter is a real issue - thankfully on the roma apple car play is on the centre screen and you get to enjoy the rev counter
Your channel is a source of wonder and inspiration. Thank you for your creativity and diligence!🤹🎱⌚️
Fabulous film quality and production. Well done Sam.
Watching this while sipping an espresso from my new espresso machine. Life is good!
Your B-roll is OUT OF THIS WORLD, as usual.
Love this format & your honest critique. Kindest regards, Richard U.K
Wow. Sam, this has to be the best Video for quite some time from you. Great review, astonishing landscape shots and imo the prettiest car from Ferrari of the last decade.
Alpine a290 next please.
Refreshing STG content like it used to be... I'm off for a dive into the back catalogue for more
Beautiful video. You are so talented. Keep up the great work
Excellent review Sam, you're editing and visuals are just first class, as for the 296...... ridiculous price but as you say....if you got it!
Fantastic video Sam!! Truly a Sunday special 👏🏻
Superior adventure. 296 GTS driving on a lovely day. Top of the top coffee vendor destination. Well played.
One of the best videos ive seen on the new 296 series of Ferrari!
Your channel is one of the best sources of quality content. Keep on making us happy with your creations!🌶🎂😺
Fantastic filming Sam, superb in your style!
Great cinematography in this vid Sam!
If you hold the back button as opposed to multiple pressing it immediately takes you back to the main tach screen. You do not have to keep pressing the back button multiple times. Its still not great but faster just pressing and holding. You can also just adjust things using the speech recognition which is not too bad...
These coastal shots is absolutely gorgeous 🔥💚

that heated seat function is infuriating!!! Ok back to the video =)

Awesome video as always and great choice of music, I've been a yellow card fan since I saw them live in Leeds around 15 years ago!
This edit, poh its good. You really outdid yourself. This is want we want!
Another fantastic video!
It’s funny how modern day super cars leave me cold, great video Sam. 😂❤
Halfway through and this has to be one of your best productions yet!
9:36 That shot over there🥰🥰🥰That’s breathtakingly beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🥰

2 things Sam. 1. Their christmas blend is top tier! 2. How horrible is that Road to lizard point 😂 fair play
13:58 Damn. What a shot. What a car.
Fantastic video Sam. Really enjoyed this. 🙏👌👍
Well shot. Really well shot
i love a yellow ferrari. 3:11 is a stunning shot!
Such a great video! Thanks
Perfectly STG style film. Loved it
Was interested to see inside the coffee roaster’s place, but after driving all the way there you didn’t show it? Otherwise great video.
Love this type of upload!
Nice one Sam. Beautiful filming
That trip deserved your wife by your side and your daughter enjoying a couple of days with grandma.
Separate subject, here in the U.S. if you look at Ferrari dealer websites almost all of them have LOTS of 296's for sale.
"Hair Raising"😂...
17:02 Ok that's my new desktop wallpaper
Your channel is a real treasure trove of knowledge and entertainment. Continue to delight us with your talent and professionalism!🦭🐌🐭
Mega visuals Sam. This is peak STG
stunning car and stunning views of the coastline 👍
Great video Sam.
Early start!!! Good god man, to get no one in that car park you must been there at midnight or slept there over night! Amazing footage though, bravo!
Car lookes amazing for time we are in with hybrid tech .
😲13:37 Absolutely stunning and this is November! I need to move further south
