    That's right.
Science based answers are better than common sense. Let's compare two thoughts about what us humans should eat. The first example will be science based, and the second common sense based.
Example #1...science tells us to eat a low fat diet, consisting of lean meats with plenty of heart healthy grains, vegetable oils and vegetables, and also keeping saturated fats below 7 percent of our daily intake of fats, and sugar is OK in moderation, and we need to eat a balanced diet with plenty of fiber.
Our population has an obesity rate of over 60 percent, diabetes is at 12 percent, heart disease and cancer are our #1 and #2 killers, most elderly people are on a myriad of prescription drugs, and disease is rampant among our population.
Example #2...100,000 years ago, humans had to exist on instinct, experience and common sense. They ate what common sense and instinct told them to.
Heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes were basically unknown to humans. There were no scientists at all to give these people any advice on what to eat.
Science is not doing a very good job at making people's lives healthier now than we were back then...is it possible that science may be overrated?
