Since I am here so early I finally get to tell you, please move your web cam up a bit so that when you are recording a ROAD TO TOP 1 video we can see the emotes that the opponents send! BTW kinda new here, but still love the content.
Wisconsin round at 23:50 is hilarious because maybe 15 miles northwest on I-90 going into LaCrosse you have these beautiful exaggerated cliffs leading you down into the city from Minnesota. And then you go southeast to this location and it looks like some marshland. The terrain around the Mississippi in MN/WI gives you whiplash when you're used to flat farmland and lakes.
4:17 damn that was Santarem? if brazil, I would've definitely gone goias or something.. Rounds like this go to show again how much deforestation has happened considering all this used to be the amazon rainforest.
went to those seaside places in romania all the time when i was little so hearing you say one of them looked like uruguay was absolutely insane to me but ngl i lowkey see the resemblance which is so crazy
I was so happy that I might have beaten you on the 2nd map, but my heart dropped when you mentioned that random Japanese island that I have never heard of. GG
The European Roulette??? Map follows the rules of Russian roulette most closely: you know one of the rounds is going to be Europe, and the rest are not, just like you know one chamber(?) in a revolver will have a bullet, and the rest don't.
I'm not even joking when I say that I somehow knew that the first round was eastern Russia. I don't really have any explanation as to why, because I don't even play Geoguessr, just watch the content. Was flabbergasted when I saw that it was actually Kamchatka. Love the content
Good job on the Ogasawara Islands. Very unique foliage. Also the coverage was only in 2010 I believe. The one thing that made me know for sure though that it was Japan was the Japanese style brick drain I haven't seen that anywhere else
I just bought geoguessr yesterday and i love it. Ive only been watching you and geowizard and rainbolt for a couple weeks but i was hooked right away. Im terrible at the game but 8m going to get better. Its weird that i live in the U.S. but my scores on the world map are much better than on the U.S. map. You guys are wo good ag the game its just amazing.
i noticed in round 1 the big white house had a window cracked open, and it swung inwards at the top. ive never seen windows that open like that in us/canada its a very european thing
My closest guesses were the two Romania rounds! (Though I guessed the wrong country both times, thought it was Greece link 2 and Turkey link 5)🎉🎉 and guessed Finland and Sweden correctly! And was way off on everything else but I’m glad I recognized some regions!
I feel like for these difficult rounds sun direction based on shadows could be quite useful. I was using it a lot to estimate hemisphere and sometimes latitude watching the rounds
I have a video idea that you might be interested, you can play some weird, funny maps or get viewers to send maps they made that might be their hometown or just super interesting places. Hope its a good idea.
I find NMPZ so hard already with typical, non-baity coverage if there is little info. So the rounds from the video would have all been impossible for me except maybe the Finnish one with the ski slope.
. . . yeah I quit with the challenges after I managed a score of 2 on the second one. As a meta-less heathen I usually go into this hoping vibes pull me through which tends to work out okay on challenge maps. Not today.
Is it me or do ads pop up ALL THE TIME immediately after he guessed but the actual location didn’t show up yet??So you basically get a cliffhanger suspiciously often??
@zi8gzag are the trekkers official coverage? I'm not a big fan of trekker challenges, seems like it's easy to find odd trekkers which have no country specific clues. Although, I love the Sri Lanka guess
None of these rounds were trekker. All of them were the official regular google car. I agree it can be quite easy to find hard trekkers but like making these maps took me over 20hrs
Is it just me that finds using clues like google capture dates as very against the spirit of the game? It's got nothing to do with the actual act of geo guessing. Then again I hate that clues such as the google car end up being "meta"
The good ole Thailand/Wisconsin 50/50 strikes again!
classic
Imagine being so good at geogeusser that you have specific maps made for you
Ah yes,the classic Colombia/Ukraine 50 : 50
Can you imagine if geoguessr thumbnails were reality. Everywhere you go you just see Eiffel Towers
These maps were so well made in being difficult

17:15 zigzag supports hawaiian independence confirmed
"..This is real common in *A place I can't even pronounce*" sums this up nicely lol.
F*cking Wizards be like..

We have rock walls like that (Panama round) in the Stoney Rises, Victoria.
I was so happy that I might have beaten you on the 2nd map, but my heart dropped when you mentioned that random Japanese island that I have never heard of. GG

True, something about it really felt east Russian to me
i thought it was canada lol
Sometimes I quickly know where it is. Other times I have no clue. Has this happened to yall?
yep a lot xd@@FastGuy1
THAT RUSSIA ROUND IS INSANE. huge congratulations for even guessing the country. Good lord.
i mean he guessed russia based on the copyright so yeah idk i wouldn't give it a huge congrats
@@deryaisik21 you know nothing, John Snow
That was highkey the easiest round a lot of his other guesses were rlly good though
thats a sad brazil, probs used to be rainforest there
Good job on the Ogasawara Islands. Very unique foliage. Also the coverage was only in 2010 I believe. The one thing that made me know for sure though that it was Japan was the Japanese style brick drain I haven't seen that anywhere else
Ah~~, how great it is to have me, zi8gzag and the actual location to be in three different continents

the scoring system is different thats probably why :)
24:06 WHAT
The 4th map “zigzag’s big blunders” was meant to refer to how ur gonna blunder these “easyy” locs
Somehow guessing BC in the first round was actually closer than in eastern Russia. Goes to show how massive the country is.
16:35 those pine tres are Norfolk island pines
I think in a lot of your misses you totally ignored sun location and went wrong hemisphere. Northern sun and you went Mexico.
I just subscribed moments ago and imagine my delight upon seeing you just uploaded a new vid. Thank you and stay awesome. 😃
thank you for subscribing :D ❤️
Ok this is almost a normal thumbnail
6:51 I love misty coverage
The Pyhä ski slopes where you clicked are WAY BIGGER than the ones in the street view
Congrats on 20,000 games played!
Who wants to see part 2?👀
These locations were really baity, would love to see more
i noticed in round 1 the big white house had a window cracked open, and it swung inwards at the top. ive never seen windows that open like that in us/canada its a very european thing
That Wisconsin location is crazy, never seen anything like that in the midwest
My closest guesses were the two Romania rounds! (Though I guessed the wrong country both times, thought it was Greece link 2 and Turkey link 5)🎉🎉 and guessed Finland and Sweden correctly! And was way off on everything else but I’m glad I recognized some regions!
I feel like for these difficult rounds sun direction based on shadows could be quite useful. I was using it a lot to estimate hemisphere and sometimes latitude watching the rounds
THE GOAT RETURNS
12:00 you say the sun is north so we must be in the southern hemisphere and then you guessed Mexico.
That sri lanka round could easily be Ceará in Brazil where you have wind turbines and kite surfing a lot
I have a video idea that you might be interested, you can play some weird, funny maps or get viewers to send maps they made that might be their hometown or just super interesting places. Hope its a good idea.
23:55 does Thailand have the same road lines as the USA? What made him think Thailand on this one?
I love this type of video!
Big Tunja? Is that The Office reference? ❤
I find NMPZ so hard already with typical, non-baity coverage if there is little info. So the rounds from the video would have all been impossible for me except maybe the Finnish one with the ski slope.
continental mix clearly means maps wher rounds have metas from different continents mixed in the same place.
still love the vids zig :)
i love your videos sm!
Treezerik undefeatable
😍
Paratunka isnt that far away from Alaska so could be influenced a bit
. . . yeah I quit with the challenges after I managed a score of 2 on the second one. As a meta-less heathen I usually go into this hoping vibes pull me through which tends to work out okay on challenge maps. Not today.
zigzags blunders was a legendary map
You should have noticed the European tilting window on the first guess. Never seen that in the US. But you got the continent anyway!
Going cali on 2023 coverage with dry grass 💀THAT SHIT'S ALL BURNT UP 💀
Yeah I did a road trip through California recently so on that one I got instant California vibes.
Petition to have zigzag grind tf out of turkey
Yeah w gelotris!
Zi8gzag, yes downhill skiing is common in Finland
This video has ZigZag's LatAm guesses looking like mine.
Is it me or do ads pop up ALL THE TIME immediately after he guessed but the actual location didn’t show up yet??So you basically get a cliffhanger suspiciously often??
Bro I did the same thing! I went thailand on that wisconsin round, hurt me as well lol
What is the reasoning for eliminating Europe for the third picture? I'm really bad at geography but I'm genuinely curious.
the people that do the challenges and then just 5k every location because they watched your video are so weird.
23:55 That US round is crazy, ngl
@zi8gzag are the trekkers official coverage? I'm not a big fan of trekker challenges, seems like it's easy to find odd trekkers which have no country specific clues. Although, I love the Sri Lanka guess

7:24 i thought that was vietnam lol
i (800 rated) got 7k on the second round (got santiago and went greece on the romenia)
Best score of mine: 6,859
Worst: 16
lolll
wow thats funnyl, i got 4990 on the sri lanka round because i put a location really close to there in one of my own maps
would have been more interesting with no moving
i was so sure this is lesotho 9:24
oh wait theres literally concepcion pines
BRO HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD ALL I KNOW IS THE TAIWANESE POLES!!!!!
What do you do for work mate?
Is it just me that finds using clues like google capture dates as very against the spirit of the game? It's got nothing to do with the actual act of geo guessing. Then again I hate that clues such as the google car end up being "meta"
Nice.
I still have no clue wth gen 2, 3 or 4 means
He has a video on it! But basically it means the camera quality, higher number = better quality
@@treezerik ah alr, thanks for ur reply
Whats with you and Mexico :D
always go cdmx together
There are professional geoguessr players?! How on earth do you get a full salary playing geoguessr?
Nah we dont get paid a full salary but professional in the sense that we are the top of the top
@@treezerik That's not what professional means though. Professional means that it's your profession. Maybe use expert instead.
man, these mr. beast style thumbnails are targeted for kids, i think your average viewer age is way higher than that….
100th comment
😁
How is Mexico ever Latin America?
All of my respect zig
I'm just getting started playing GG an tbh I'm amazed by the guessed
