Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Only getting an hour of sleep and waking up a second before the alarm goes off proves he’s a psychopath more than anything else
No it doesn’t I do that sometimes and i am a loving guy
Even psychopaths need some sleep to function properly..
as someone who was in the Army I can assure you that hour of sleep is sometimes all you need especially during a 24 hour staff duty or CQ shift lol
@@Patelp8 sounds like something a psychopath would say
@@UA-camr1g as someone who is also military I can assure you getting an hour day after day is definitely not enough. I can function fine with no sleep, but I can’t do it for days on end
Lalo wasn’t lying when he told Nacho he doesn’t need much sleep
A salamanca is ruthless to anyone who's not family
But he does not lie
And lack of sleep turns a person insane...
Imagine sleeping
He’s on a lot of cocaine presumably
But he was lying when sleep
Lalo was the perfect match for Gus - both were clinical and highly intelligent in their business, and would do whatever it took to come out on top, whether it's Gus deliberately poisoning himself to take out the Cartel bosses, or Lalo living in a literal sewer to spy on Gus' operation. The only difference is that Gus hid his true intentions behind an emotionless mask, whereas Lalo hid himself behind a cheerful and charming demeanour to get people to let their guard down.
I mean uh, something something this is the moment Lalo became a Ninja Turtleberg bravo Vince
That's why Gus is so scared of Lalo, they both are the same type of evil being who have intelligent, strength and unpredictable, the only person that make Gus can't sleep at night
corny asf
Bravo Vince 💀,
😂😂
I wondered why Lalo never made a move on Eladio. He’s smarter, stronger, and just better than Eladio. Two possibilities came up (both terrifying):
1) Lalo is content with his place. Being on top brings a lot of exposure. A lot of exposure mean a lot of attention. Lalo isn’t the attention seeking type.
2) Eladio is actually smarter, stronger and crazier than Lalo
0:47 It’s not fair that we only got the shower scenes of Lalo, Jimmy, Kim and Nacho while being robbed of the shower scenes of Gus, Mike, Howard and most importantly, Chuck.
And don't forget Jesse's shower scene
Kim’s the only one we need 😏
I would honestly be down for a Howard shower scene

I think the detail that adds the most to his absolute insanity isn't the power nap, but the fact he can even nap with the ticking of the timer in the first place
Some people find this sort of background noise relaxing
@@beetle149 I can see repetitive noises being relaxing, but this is a noise thats specifically counting down how much longer you have to sleep
That hurts my ears, like it's so annoying because it tells you how much time you have left before waking you up again so you force yourself to sleep.
Solo sailors use the egg timer technique to get through long night time passages. You get tired enough that you don't hear the ticking.
I slept next to the machine room on a chemical tanker(seaship) for a few months
Best sleep ive had in my 20s
And im not kidding when I tell you that it would sometimes sound like birdsong, until I fully woke up
As dangerous as Lalo is, it's amazing how well he blends in innocuously as a truck stop customer
Well he paid and used truck stop services, so he was customer.
Its because we know him to be dangerous.

Granted, none of it was true but it was still very interesting!
I got chills seeing how dedicated lalo was to spying on gus. He was under their nose the whole time.
I wish he wasn’t cocky and just shot Gus upon discovery of the lab. Lalo was a worthy villain
Lalo isnt cocky that time, he was making Gus talk more on the record so he has more concrete proof to show for Don Eladio.
The lab was proof enough. If he killed Gus then that would have been enough proof to lalos theories that Gus was undermining the Cartel
Gus’s hubris was what killed him as well, so it fits. If only Hector didn’t pop people off randomly, Gus and Lalo surely would’ve worked together.
@@sterlingarcher74 it wasn't random, that's why Gus took down everyone
Sorry, the only reason Lalo didn't do that is plot armour lol
The fact that he wakes up before the alarm goes off is almost eerie.
VRAVO BINCE!
I do that sometimes, my brain knows
It's not that weird.
It's kinda a normal thing to do normal tho
I am less concerned with the fact Lalo only needs an hour of sleep and more concerned by how he can sleep with an oven timer loudly ticking next to him
lalo asmr
that was a power nap not a full sleep
He needs to hear the loud ticking to sleep, because he is counting how much time there is left to go until he can wake up.
I'm more concerned with how he can have a shower then sleep for an hour and not have horrific bed head.
If you get that poor sleep you will be falling sleep pretty much always.

"Lalo even wakes up before the alarm going off, implying some serious discpline in this guy."
When I used an alarm, I did that nearly every day. It's not really much discipline beyond showing up at work on time and properly rested. Something subconscious in there just knows or senses what time it is. Or I have a super power that I didn't realize was a super power.

You might be able to get around that. I don't know your situation but there's a bed in my house where, if I lie down in it, I become very tired and fall asleep more easily than in other beds, even if I don't want to sleep. But it's also hard to get up, and I feel tired even after a long sleep in that bed. It may be the room, the bed, the light level or type of light...As I said I don't know you or your situation but there may be an answer for you. I hope you find something that helps.

Just imagine if he didn't meet his demise on what it would've been like seeing him go up against Walter White.

He would be dead already tbh
Well Walter was able to beat Gus because of his arrogance and the fact that he needed him, Lalo would have killed Walter long before Gus realized he had to. Lalo wouldn't have threatened Walters family in the desert, he would have buried him in that desert.

Lalo was carried by plotarmor
Not true; this guy was sleep depriving himself for maybe weeks on end, and he missed 5 gunshots in the complete pitch black, and you call that plot armor. Nothing about the way he died was unfair, if anything it would’ve made even less sense if he managed to get a lucky shot on gus
4:12 i love how intense the music gets as it shows how furious lalo is and how committed he is to take down gus.
I think it was more so for the reveal of him watching the laundry, where the lab is being built. Building up what he’s up to and finally we see, and for BCS viewers that’s huge in that episode. I don’t think any BB fans would’ve thought someone was so close to finding out Gus’s lab
Quite simply the most unrealistic scene in the show. Ain't no truck stop shower EVER looked that clean 😂
