Before I know it, 45 minutes has passed and I'm late for whatever I'm doing. With that said, it was the best 45 minutes of my UA-cam life.

    Chris, I love the custom aluminum shield!! I've been wanting to buy something (easier than DIY, right?) to shield my non-CAI SRI from engine heat and haven't found anything to help with that. Looks like I'm going to take the same route as you now.
    Btw, your videos rock, man. Very detailed, but not overly (most videos gloss over vital details all day). Coming from an extremely detail-oriented person (detailing, mechanical, etc.), your videos I've seen are absolutely sufficient to get the job done with confidence. Very motivating as well. I'm going to out myself here and let you know I just watched 13 of your videos in one sitting. New sub! GL with the drifting.

    Good job on bending the aluminum. The heat shield came out very nice. Just as a cautionary note aluminum can fatigue over time and the vibration from pushing the car could cause cracking at your bend points. Although not super likely it is something to keep in mind and you may want to check it every once in awhile. Keep up the videos your doing a great job!

      Degreaser and some brushes. Its not rocket science. Cover your fuse box and air box. Take a pressure washer to the rest, maintain 8+ inches away, be smart and it'll come out great.

    ChrisFix , your heat shield looks awesome and the trailer is a very good idea too ! I really hope , since you have dedicated so much money and effort on it , to replace the steering wheel rim material with some swede(alcantara) one preferably.I wish you have fun and stay safe !

      how come?

    • @M3iscool
      @M3iscool 7 років тому

      Because it's a tiny bar of steel just bolted on to the bumper with four bolts.

    • @aaronpeople101
      @aaronpeople101 7 років тому +6

      The bar is thicker than the frame, I find it hard to believe that it isn't offering up some structural support.

    Hey Chris I love watching your videos and doing jobs on my moms and my grandmas car. The two vehicles have scratches and little dents in the car, and both cars haven't really been fixed or had any oil changes so as I get older I'm really starting to like cars and I love to work on them not just to work on them but to save money for the whole family. My name is Philip I'm 14 years old I was watching your tool video and I just wanted to ask what is a good company to by from thanks. Philip
