I think the reason why Mega Man lost the charge shot and slide is because he thought he didn’t need it anymore. There might have been a long time span between MMB and MM9, so he may have thought Wily was gone for good and had Dr. Light take his charge and slide away . He may have kept the armor just in case Wily came back. Proto Man, being the lone wolf that he is, never went to Dr. Light’s lab unless absolutely necessary, so he never got those abilities taken away.

I personally don't think that the StarForce costume is actually related to the MegaMan StarForce series. I personally think it might be another robot master power up. If I am correct, they talked earlier about changing megaman's helmet and hand when he changed abilities. Perhaps this dragon arm is no different.

You said that slowing down time sounds like a robot master ability. Well - it is. Remember the remake of the first game, mega man powered up? It had two more robot masters to bring the count up to eight. Oil man - his personality was cool, but his weapon (and thus, his playstyle) kinda sucked. And then there was time man. He was able to slow down time, so there you are.
When you said switching weapons would be bound to the analogue stick, I was concerned, UNTIL you said it would change to each weapon in the 8 directions, then I thought that was a great improvement! :D

I have played SUPER GHOULS AND HOTS and thought it was an ok game (it sold extremely well though) and I played the Mickey Mouse game you mentioned in that vid and thought that game was cool. Knowing Mega Man 11 is being helmed by that person makes me hopeful for the game. I am actually very interested in it cuz of what you said in that vid.
I don't know ... I'm happy we are having a new Megaman entry in the classic series, but the transition to a 3D platform won't be easy. At this point I find the Megaman 3D model kinda... unexpressive. Items and power-ups just look too flat to me. Besides of that, I'm not happy with their explanation about not including a new female robot master. Anyway, the time will tell, we have one whole year ahead for this prototype to improve!
I'm wondering if this game will feature a toggle option between 2.5d and 8-bit like many games have successfully achieved to much appreciated fanfare. Glad for sure that the slide ability returns and the charge shot too. The one revealed robot master in the temple stage is interesting, what do you think his name is? Temple Man? Ruin Man? Ancient ManOr The infamous yet forgotten Bond Man?
Relating to the costumes I believe you would buy them from auto's shop or they will be hidden in every stage of the game as parts. If we go deeper into it the full costume would give megaman an added bonus. For example the StarForce one you could chomp down on enemies near to megaman. If there is no female robot master in 11 I feel they might introduce a female villain. Most likely as a lackey under wily or late in game he brainwashed roll and megaman has to fight her. That's my 2 sense.
ARRG IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!! I really think that this game will be awesome and I hope capcom will not screw up. I'm going to wait and see on how this goes.
