In this video, I'll show you how to use Google Earth to find places that have a high chance of having GOLD!
Keep in mind, it is your responsibility as a prospector to make sure you are not on private property or someone else's claim.

How long do you prospect each of your potential sites for ?
The East Fork has gold almost everywhere up there. I'll usually sample a small area, maybe 20' up river and 20' downriver. As long as you're in a textbook spot like the inside bend or next to large boulders you should be able to find some color. Always test the higher benches as well. But if I don't see color in an hour or so, I'll move around. In the desert it's not too bad because it's usually on a claim and I just hit the lowest spots like the ravines and stuff. Usually you can see where others have been digging before. So you can pan some of that and see what you get. Then breakout the dry washer when you have multiple specks of color in one pan.

A shovel and a gold pan is all you need to start out. On a river, hit the inside bends. In the desert hit the low spots in the washes. I recommend joining a club like GPAA. They have a lot of claims all over and they have gold on them. I'll work on making a video that explains more areas to find gold. Thank you for watching!

Why would anyone just walk away from gold producing shit? It doesn’t make sense..... wouldnt a friend or brother or relative, pick up where said miner was knocking the shit outta the stuff? I know they didn’t get it all.... but it’s just kinda strange
I think WWII was a big change for a lot of the goldminers. A lot of the claims were closed and most of the metal resources were allocated to the war effort at the time. And you're right, they didn't get it all! To this day it's still seeping out of all the nooks and crannies.
