  • Insanely high grade gold quartz samples! Very high grade gold values in the samples. Several really high silver assays as well. These where located one new logging road cut.
Hope everyone enjoys our videos on gold mining in BC, mineral exploration, geology and that gold!

That's neat but.... is it like his private land or a mining lease or something?
And if so why is there loggers on it?
If no, are you allowed to just survey then remove and run production of whole rich mineral veins like that that's on public land in that region? Even on sides of roads and logging cuts etc?
(Ps although I'm from USA originally I'm on the other side of the world so just ask of curiosity. )

Hi mate. Another good video. Hey I'm just wondering if you know what all that yellowy-whiteish almost cement looking stuff in big clogs covering up much of the front (towards camera) at about 1:30 is?
It looks very similar to the stuff on some of the large quartz rock samples I've gotten from my own property recently, and couldn't work out what is was.
Thought maybe just fine baked in mud maybe, but it's quite hard and caked in there almost like part of the rock/reef so idk.
    Thanks.
Ps: Do you ever do anything with the other minerals? Copper, zinc etc?
Those look like not half bad bad copper ore there too haha.
And you find gold amongst all that malachite? I worked in a copper, lead, zinc, iron mine laboratory for years and crushed thousands and thousands of rich ore samples... well as cooking them down and analysing them all on the spectroanalysis machines, recording and analysing the data etc. And it was rich ore but I don't think i ever recorded more about 3-6% gold content the whole time. Maybe about 8-10% at absolute highest. (Which just wasn't worth us processing for gold)
So I always assumed such ore wouldn't be very gold rich at all and didn't bother with it myself for home prospecting.
Maybe twas just the particular area/ore body?
As I assume it'd have to be much higher % for yoi to bother with?
Anyway thanks for the videos. And oll try to finally remember to hit subscribe. )))

What's the purity of the gold though? I read an old account of gold mining in Nova Scotia in the 1800s and the author stated that it was the purest gold he ever encountered anywhere other than one place in Siberia. It's a little over 98% gold, about 1.7% silver and less than 1% copper. That's between 22 and 24 karat. Over a million ounces have been recovered so far.

Hey Guys . A few years ago I was Exploring in the Mountains near PA . We found a Heli Pad that had been built on a hillside . All the rock on the Pad was either from a blast up the hill . Or they brought it there . The samples I collected looked just like some of that Quartz you were finding . I had quite a few that we showed . Most have disappeared . If you would be interested in joining us to go back and look around again . Let me know .

Just purchased a Gold bug after a year of prospects. I have a game plan now. When the new logging roads are exposed and erosion starts from no trees after the BIG FIRES this past year. They've closed Basically central, N.central Oregon to visitors because erosion and amounts of logging trucks. But once they are gone....Its gonna be a stampede to the area. Can't wait.
