I cried with this song, so gloomy, so dark so intense. Love the 90s and my memories from the best time ever in my life that will not come back. Wash away forever.
This song and Cold Contagious are so haunting. They both take me back to a much simpler time in my life. First year in college, aimless driving on five bucks in gas, lost loves, crowd surfing at concerts, and a general disregard for responsibilities. Oh my, where have the years gone? As good as life can be these days, I'd trade almost anything to have those times back....if even only for a day.
This was back when bands played what was in their heads, and not what the "talent" people wanted them to play. This is true talent. Back when lyrics were...genius! I wish even half the bands and singers today had this much talent! Maybe I would actually purchase albums again then!!!!
I love this track so much back in the day. Still one of my favorite cds. Years later Bonedriven is still stuck in my head. I love Bush always. I’m grateful Gavin is still making good music.
this brings me back to 96 when i bought this tape in a act 1 video i was 10 years old living in the foothills of northern california , i used to bring my lil rca tape player and go skateboarding all over town. good album , i havent heard this stuff in years....
Damn. That crescendo towards the end never stops hitting. Around 25 years or so later? My old walkman went through batteries back in the day. Thank you for posting this.
I love this song, ever since I herd it when it came out.. means alot to listen to it right now.. helps the confused soul when you have no one to talk to :(
It was the most strange and cool bush album, one way I thought they would keep playing like this acoustic with violins and chelos. Although they are my fav. band til they split. :D
So true...I imagine you got a state of the art cane ....you know back when 1800s when this song came out....sorry was that sarcasm...being 110 yrs and all...I still never really say whats on my mind
cold contagious in rock and ring rulez,,,,, i got bush on woodstock in 99 too ,,i got alot of material on vhs,, like the complete video for greedy fly and cold contagious ,, the longer versions
Ahhhh hell yes. somethings just stay with you, ya know. that _Alleys and Motorways_ kicked my ass the first time i saw it. then _Meeting People is Easy_ went and blew my mind. i was never really the same again.
@psychogroupie1... I so agree. But I've got to say that '89 has to be added in there (maybe 88-95) okay, so that's when I was in high school and college, but that was the peak formative years for Alternative Rock. Such good stuff. I'm starting to appreciate the new wave period, too. Heres to another great decade of music!
2024 Here I’m back because of lyrics. Still trying to figure it out. Is it because of fame they are taking all of the light? Is it the feeling of being under the pressure of market movement makes the composer fight against it!? Because art itself wants to let you tell your story and period. Market tells you to write something that will sell. Therefore the conflict and confusion begins.... Thousands lamps won’t light the dark? ...I love this song even if I don’t truly understand and I’m not able to address the region of it. Reset and wait...we are all wrong...but lesson is taken...there is more to come...but for now... wait...

It is/was good with beer and a relaxing smoke and learning power chords with major/minor changes ect. Plus, girls dug the so if you learned decent enough versions of whatever tunes they dig, they dug you.. enough lol I got RazorbladeSuotcase after seeing Swallowed on Mtv2 all the fucking time and to me, correct me if I'm wrong, But....to me there's just something darker about RzrbldSuitcse. 97 and 98 were the best musical years of my life - Bush, Live, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, etc...*sigh*
That sigh just hit me...
Razorblade Suitcase is a ROCK MASTERPIECE!! It is in my top ten albums of the 90s
My first official cd... that I bought, of course! Really precious!
What about the other 9 albums? Asking for knowledge
@@francescotomasso7030 If you like Bush, check out Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, etc. You'll find your way from there.

melancholy so deep so profound, touch my heart like no other song
Very devoted
It hits the same as AIC's Nutshell imo. It has the same beautiful, yet soul crushing feel. Both are absolute ingenious.
Funny that u call it profound....because this song is about the guy who drove their tourbus, that’s it. Lol. That’s the power of music tho

I love this entire album nice and hurtful!
Perhaps the best song in this, their best album
With glycerine and letting the cables sleep. Their grunge music was totally different. Haunting beautiful and full of pain. Lovely it was Bush.
the best bush album...some of the best songs such as this one and cold contagious, straight no chaser, insect kin.. the singles...
Yeah I have the VHS "Alleys and Motorways" I believe that's the only place it was ever released. this kinda looks like a TV screen.. lol
yeah. kinda not official release, somehow.
Those last two guitar chords are so…devastating. It’s like realizing that your dreams will never come true…
I miss 90s

What a charming little story :)
I've loved this band since I was a kid too.. This song brings back a lot memories, except I was 13 : ) x
Love this song.. I conceptualize this like i'm walking in the dead woods in very gloomy day.
EPIC.

they split?
CozMyN In 2002 i think...but they are back together now with 2 original members, Gavin and Robbin (drummer).
Then the vocalist and drummer are still in the same band?
CozMyN yes they are. The bassist and Guitarist are new.
This is ok, since I know this band from NFS hp2 :))
2018 still rocks
Ouvi essa bela cancao pela primeira vez em 1996....e ouço até hoje finalzinho de 2021...e continuarei ouvindo até o fim da minha vida...obrigado Bush

Bush sencillamente increible,, de lo mejor!!
Awesome love this song
Underrated album. Actually, Bush in general is underrated. Grunge fans hate on them unfairly. Bush is awesome.
Yeah - I did love the whole album and I still do. There has never been a better one...
Razorblade Suitcase is a fuckin' grunge experience.
Since there does not seems to be an official video for this one : thanks for this :)

Buddy Holly set the template for modern rock, pop to an extent. We are in the postmodern.
