My personal story is that once upon a time I did attend a bellydance class, and there was this jewel move. But for the love of everything divine, I couldn't master it! Now I see why, it was never broken down like that for me. I now see, it actually consists of many different little movements🤔 Imagine coming across this element so randomly on Portia's channel after all this time. I guess I have a chance of nailing it after all😊 This one is definitely a challenge; and I love it. Am going to practice it, rewatching this video many times. I'm having a similar experience. I wanted to preview an advanced class and holy moly! I'm working with the beginner videos. I have learned these moves before but the refinement that Portia provides totally changes everything for me. Portia is truly an expert teacher.

I thank you for sharing your beautiful dance, which I have been using to improve mine. I started dance in the late 1980s, had a baby 1997, became a gymnastics instructor 2002, which gradually became my main thing until 2020. So now in in 2024 am changing direction. Loved this!!! I dont quite know how to in jewel 2 make the transition after the snap into next figure 8... my body doesnt know how to release everything fast enough... some detail om that would be helpful!! Theres no belly dancing in my town anymore, so this is giving me life! Thankyou!!😂

Hi I'm from UK. I have been practicing eveyday. This workout was really hard when the jewels got faster at the end. I think I need to do alot more stomach work ..to feel the diff muscles..then it will be easier ❤🎉
