- I chose to spend my leisure time exploring the jungles of Thailand, utilizing only Unreal Engine 5 Lumen. 😊
The goal of this project was to investigate the GI engine's potential by exploring how light interacts with complex, dynamic geometry featuring translucency. Additionally, it examined noise limitations and light accuracy across different lighting conditions.

The most difficult part of this video is to keep in mind that this is a simulation and not a real recording of a place somewhere in Asia

Wow, the quality of this is absolutely mind-blowing! Especially when you consider that you achieved such impressive lighting without even using the PathTracer!
Without even using raytracing hardware haha... And then there is Nvidia trying to convince you that you absolutely MUST pay extra $500 for hardware raytracing on the GPU which isn't even needed
Lumen for sure is amazing, but it still falls behind real time path tracing solutions from nvida. @@damara2268

One of the best pieces of work that I came across so far in unreal. Simply amazing!! Certainly a lot of weeks of worktime put in.

Bro, if you reduce the sharpness JUST A SMIDGE, add a spec of noise and lens imperfections (light spills ect...), and find a way to smooth out the polygon edges somehow... You'll have to fight someone physically to convince them this is not real footage. Outstanding.

Foliage Pack used in project was Rain Forest Pack by Kaizen Digital Interactive on the Epic market place. Pack comes with natural foliage motion.
If you would like to create natural looking motion yourself I believe the creator made the trees motion using the application 'speed tree'.
Unreal has a build in system that you can simulate foliage wind using WPO (World position offset).
