Had 11, and 11 pro max does not have that much better that it should magically be "best". I had to charge the 11 twice per day for my usage (and takes forever to get charged). Now on Xiaomi mi 10T Pro instead, and it does not drain during entire hard working day, and goes 100% charged in about 30 minutes.
Used it heavily today, while also listened hours to music and still on 25% batt now at 23:44. Woke up around 08:00 and no charging, but lots of usage, until now.
My iphone11 would be charging third time by now.
And for less than 50% of the price of 11 pro max, with 144hz screen instead of 60hz, 256gb storage, better camera, faster and more stable wifi, longer range on connected BLE devices and a free electrical scooter from Xiaomi 🤷

Huawei has surpassed my expectations for how far they’ve gone to date. Plus their app gallery has impressed me so much that I’ve already offered to hand over my iPhone X to my mother when I replace it with either a nova 7 or a mate series phone just to experience that app gallery for myself. By the way, my mother loved a the idea of a free iPhone X with the UAG case. Go figure?

I live in Beijing, China and I played with this phone in the store the other day. I just sat there for 15 minutes pretending to Arun and reviewed the phone. It really is phenomenal. For me personally, I just can't go down to a smaller phone after using the 7.2" Mate 20X.
As for the app store, I have already been simultaneously using the Huawei app store and Google Play, as I need some Chinese apps and some non-Chinese apps. It works smoothly and I have no issues running apps from both stores. And I double knock my screen for all my screenshots! 😅

The things I love in Huawei is their camera features. A lots and loaded with features that you can't find in other biggest smartphone campany.

Great video and nice positive outlook on the Huawei/Google situation. I have used and enjoyed using a Huawei p20 pro for almost 2 years and have become so impressed with the phone experience I have also switched from Samsung tablets to 2 Huawei tablets, an M5 8 inch and an M5 10 inch which I'm watching UA-cam on presently. I'd love to stick with Huawei and if they want to send me a p40 Pro I'll certainly give it a good try but otherwise its difficult not to be tempted towards a new oneplus 8 or 8 pro.

when i tried to sign in it wont let me
just stuck there loading
For me vanced getting signed in but it won't stay signed in whenever you clear it from memory you need to sign in again but it worth it for background play and for ad free experience
@@johnpp21 Install microg first then vanced. Did you do that? Otherwise it won't work. Also 2FA might be a problem with microG
Alternative to UA-cam Vanced would be NewPipe or Vidman. Both allow downloading videos aswell

I've always thought that Huawei has had great cameras and were amazing competition for Samsung Apple. Being forced into making their own ecosystem is only going to be better for the consumers. Also seeing how amazing this camera is, if I could afford it, I'd buy this phone to be phone for the next 7 years or so in a heartbeat! (I keep my phones untill they stop working completely!). I'll give Huawei credit where credit is due. I was expecting them to be dead in the water outside of their native Chinese market after this whole fiasco, but they've managed to really get out there and make strides with what they have. I could definitely see Huawei become the 3rd biggest player in the smartphone game behind iOS and Android. Yeah, I get that they are still technically running Android; but at this point, EMUI has become its own OS entirely with a complete Huawei ecosystem.
Now, I personally wouldn't buy a Huawei product, but I still feel they deserve credit for how they've handled all of this.
Yeah always used Huawei since my first android G300 and damn they improved a lot. Currently using P20 and still kicking where sometimes battery lasts even 2 days after 2 years + love how PC to phone and vice versa works, like on ios the file drop share thingy they have idk what it is called and still no slowdowns when it comes to performance after 2 years which is amazing!
Huawei will have their own iOS in the future, Harmony OS.

Long time viewer, first time Commenter. I am, and always was, in love with the Huawei Hardware. I am also quite dependent on the google eco system. Former owner of the Mate 30Pro was a love-hate relationship. Understandably the app gallery will grow but the key apps I need for me to consider the P40Pro would be AT-LEAST Uber. Uber is key in my line of work. Excellent video as always:-)

These are permium phones with a premium price tag. At that price i want NO workaround whatsoever. Don't want alternative software and get used to it, i don't want to look constantly for updates of the sideloaded apps (will not be done automaticly).
I just want to go from 1 phone to the other and have the exact same software experience (or better due to performance upgrades).

I truly am torn between this and the OnePlus 8 Pro, the only thing preventing me from picking the P40 Pro is the lack of Google apps, I use my google docs and drive a lot so to not have that function or attempt a workaround that more than likely will get patched out is a deal breaker. I have an upgrade due soon and picking a phone is a two year commitment.
I live in a google ecosystem, but I love Huawei at the same time, and the fact that G_apps aren't allowed on resent Huawei devices is a deal-breaker for me, that's why I haven't upgraded to the P40pro. I'm sticking with P30pro, which I'm still impressed and happy for !
This phone needs a dedicated night mode, where it keeps the picture fairly dark, but shows lot of details, I'll admit tho it's ability to make low light pics look bright is just amazing

Most reviews of Huawei phones I saw were like: it's a great phone but don't buy it because there's no Google there. Great. I know, that there's no Google. And generally, I try to avoid using Google. Besides, I'm a huge Huawei fan. I really like the phones, I like the EMUI, I like the cameras. I understand that it can be hard to get some apps. Or that some are not gonna work because they need Google services (like Netflix). But the rest should be OK, right? And I guess, you can get most apps from other sources. Btw, I'm quite curious if you have any experience with UA-cam Vanced. Could you try it and share your impressions?

I don't use Goggle so much that I use Bing search. But I'm not going to switch mobile banking for a camera (mine is already good enough for Instagram).

I am a huge huawei /honor phone fan. I just love the fact that my honor 10 is still running buttery smooth. I am a gamer and these days I spend extra time on gaming. Mostly pubg and cod mobile. Even though the phone is almost 2 years old, the games run without any hitch. The camera too is very decent. Last year they introduced a night mode and the night time pics are good too. Also the fact that I can shoot RAW photos make editing stuff simpler.. I love this phone and will probably be buying another huawei /honor phone next time too.

My first smartphone was a Huawei Honor which I bought in 2013. Of course it is outdated now but it still looks surprisingly new. These phones are made to last. I haven't looked elsewhere since!

While I appreciate that Huawei makes really solid hardware, not having access to Google services though is a huge no go for me. Don't wanna have to side load all applications.
You can get Google services including the full play store working still I believe. Might not be as simple as it was last year and there's always a risk it gets patched, but where there's a will there's a way.

Had this phone since it came out. Love it. I will be going to the note 20 though. It sucks having a phone from China when you're in NY ... I can't even repair it or buy their products from Amazon.

I have been with the P40 pro plus for a year and I have only found 3 applications that do not work definitively in the (MercadoLibre, Homecenter and KFC) I have had to use the Web versions of them ... The rest have run smoothly using Gspace and Apkpure APP... I love it... The perfect multitasking, the fast wireless charging time, the absurdly realistic photos and the impeccable Zoom it has... Mi p40 pro Plus aun no tiene dificultad con google.. No de ha desintalado... Si acaso lo instalaste. Y después se desinatalo... Con errores... Quizás es por habilitar APP GEMELA... En cuanto habilite App gemela.. Puede aurrirnarte Google en tu P40.. Para siempre... Hasta que lo Resettees/restauración de fabricar y hacerlo de nuevo

If you are good with follow instructions and technology.. Then maybe it's yes worth it.. But if not.. Then maybe better buy samsung or xiaomi etc.. P40 pro Great phone but u need to follow directions carefully
