  • The Scuf Nomad is their newest Completely Customizable Mobile Gaming Controller designed to compete with Backbone, GameSir, Razer, and other industry players! It has full-sized Hall Effect Joysticks, and a host of other features! I purchased this as I love to game on the go!! If you're interested in learning more see the link below:

    I’d prefer a USB-C connection like my Backbone but what I do like is the thickness of the Nomad controller with the actual thumbsticks. If Scuf doesn’t make a USB-C version later on, I hope Backbone takes notes for the next iteration.

      If you don’t have one, a mobile controller, this is definitely a good option because of the customization! I didn’t cover it much in first impressions but seriously a good option if you want to dial in your settings!

    What is most appealing is the wireless option as the USB-C port can be a slight risk factor over time.

    It sucks that is only for iPhone but hopefully they will release a version for android. I think a controller like this on something like a pixel fold (or any foldable) would make mobile gaming really something special.

    Man, no USB-C for latency is a surprise move. I've been so happy with the GameSir G8 Galileo.

    Amazing video :)
    Now I am thinking about buying one for my own. I tested the Backbone already but was very unhappy with it… The thumbsticks felt very inaccurate especially when playing FPS. What is your opinion on aiming with the Nomad?
    And as I am also more a PS Remote guy, would you advice be to buy the nomad or go for the Portal?
    Thank you :)

    • @CoZChristopher
      @CoZChristopher  14 днів тому +1

      Thank you for your kind words! If you’re a PS guy, the Portal will be the better buy for you. The built in screen, the vibration and reactive triggers, the lack of phone notifications when using your mobile phone. I like this a lot, but price aside the Portal for your use would be better.
      Aiming on this is a little better than the Backbone due to the size thumbsticks. You can also adjust the software to change sensitivity and since their full size you can get Kontrol rings to add tension if you’d like. I like the backbone as well, but with the added size and remappable back buttons, this has an edge. But keep in mind it’s Bluetooth so prone to latency and if you’re gonna focus on FPS, backbone although maybe a few less features has a usb-c connection.

    Does it work with Android despite not being fully supported? I don’t care if the app / programmable buttons aren’t available.

    • @CoZChristopher
      @CoZChristopher  14 днів тому +2

      It will connect via bluetooth, but in my tests, the buttons were mapped incorrectly, ie. pushing the right thumbstick triggered what should have been Right Trigger. I think it could be fixed and updated later with a Firmware update as it showed up and paired instantly.

      Nope, not yet, iOS only! It will pair to Android via bluetooth, but the button mapping is off. I think firmware could fix it!
