I have a 13 year old son with autism that loves super smash brothers and spent an entire day watching videos on that game being emulated through Dolphin, an application I am not familiar with. I have modded games for him on PC, I use emulators myself for my PS2 games and N64 games but I could not figure out how to set up my controller within Dolphin. Needless to say we had a very rough bit the other night when I told him we would have to wait. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video because you just saved me a lot of time and trouble and he is going to be so thrilled when I tell him I got it set up. So, thank you so very much.

Believe it or not I had been trying to play this emulator for a long while. Granted I got the roms and emulator figured it out back then. However, it all started back in 2016. I gave up on the controller settings. I never could figure it out until today. My point is I wish I could have found you sooner. I never got to play certain games because how days some of the Wii gems are rare, or extremely expensive. Until now? Boom!! Finally got to play the games I always wanted to play. Thank you for your hard work to the video and time. I rarely message anyone on UA-cam unless this was a big deal to me. Sure enough it is. 👍

What games do you play on Dolphin Emulator?
A lot of people ask me the same questions a lot so here's the answers
Where do you get the games? I can't publish that on UA-cam because UA-cam removes any links to those websites and I only use games I have obtained through dumping my own disks. Try Reddit
Why don't you make more videos on Dolphin anymore? Well these videos take a lot of time to make and when I made a few videos, they were block in certain countries and put to a limited ads. Which means I can no longer justify making these videos anymore. I love helping people out but I got to eat as well. thank you to every body who has liked commented and subscribed on my videos. I love you all and hopefully one day I can get back to making this kind of content again.
How do you play Skyward Sword with an Xbox Controller? Skyward Sword is motion plus which I don't recommend or cannot get working properly with Dolphin just yet.
Hey, I’m having trouble connecting my xbox series 2 controller, the dolphin emulator menu is updated and when i connect my controller it tells me its keyboard/0/xbox elite wireless controller. I have another regular controller with Bluetooth and it says input/0/xbox wireless controller and works fine, can you tell me how to change my series 2 controller from keyboard to input cause i a really want to play 2 player.

I used to use a 350 controller but it was broken after I moved, so I bought a new controller, an XBOXONE controller...I was beyond sad and frustrated when it didn't work with Dolphin. I tried EVERYTHING, all the guides I could find but YOUR guide WAS ACTUALLY USEFUL!

But when I launched Super Mario Galaxy and it said:"pres both a and b" I did and still nothing happened.

@@astraldreamer84 u are probably playing a game originally on wii so u would want to do the same as he did but instead of game cube controllers do wii remote configuring

You never explained the tilt and swing controls. Do we need those 2 at all?
It Depends on the game and if you need them then you have to create multiple profiles. I went through this on my Super Mario Galaxy Guide. This is just a basic setup to play most games. But Wiimotes have so many different functions that not all games use. Tilt and Swing are more important in motion based games
Yes you do need those for Mario Party 9 for example which is a pretty common game. Whats confusing about configuring the gamepad for it is that is tells you repeatedly to change the Nunchuk's direction every mini-game, could be vertical or could be horizontal.
Which is why Dolphin devs provided us with the luxury of being able to toggle between sideways mode and vertical mode with just one click midgame! (i usually set it to Button 13, clicking on the Axis analog)
Also, you will have to create another profile for it because if you configure Tilt and Swing in your axis analog sticks, youd have to sacrifice some other buttons. Which means, that configuration doesnt apply to other games.
On the long run, you will learn how to adjust and adapt yourself to different games by choosing different profiles.

Thank you for this one. Just got my best CPU yet and it runs anything Gamecube 720p with vsync smoothly. Going to try Wii emulation now that I have the controller sorted out. This guide also works for 8bitdo pro2 wired controllers

i found the default setting of vertical offset at motion simulation point tab to be 10 cm. it prevent me to reach the top screen. so i change it to zero.

Thanks for this video, only problem I've been having is that when I try to configure the nunchuck extension, it doesn't register the movements I make with both sticks. However it worked perfectly fine when setting my controller up as a gc one. Any ideas ?

Thanks makes using the Dolphin emulator more enjoyable Finally playing Fatal frame 2 remaster with a Controller Never really was into the Wii mote craze. I'm really looking forward to the Fatal frame 5 remaster I'm probably gonna get it on PC or Xbox series X. No Wii mote required its made for a standard game pad thank god. LOL
