@@Dieselpwr Mopar lift is okay, it'll give you the same ground clearance, but it's no where near the material quality and ride quality of Metalcloak. Maybe if you went with the Mopar lift with Fox shocks. My friend has the Mopar lift on his Jeep Wrangler JKU, I have the 3.5" dual rate and he agrees mine rides better.
man i seriously love that you take the time to try and reply to every single person thats great! im subbed to a few different jeep channels and from what i can see in your comments section and in theirs is that i feel you care about your audience and what they say. please my man dont ever change thats what makes your great! sure wish you uploaded more jeep content and more often
Latin Stoner Wow, this is awesome to hear... thanks so much! I have a bunch still to learn and find that you never know who you're going to learn it from so be nice to as many as you can.
Well done Jason. Great to watch. I’m your newest subscriber. Very enjoyable viewing. Excellent editing. Loved the different angles and different terrains. Well done.
I love your videos, they're just awesome to relax and watch in this weather. Would love to see more of these videos where you just go around and have fun. Also the ones where you put more mods into it.
The ride with my TeraFlex Sport S/T3 kit feels just like stock as well. I love it, no bouncing around or being really flighty on the highway, and I can still corner at pretty high speeds and not feel like I'm going over. Paired with the TeraFlex Big Brake kit all the way around it's better than stock. Great video as always!
I have a week or two before mine ships. i ordered the rocksport version. Your videos are an inspiration to me. Thanks for making it seem easy to add these parts. I hope Matson is giving you a good discount! If not he should be! Thanks for all the videos, they are awesome.
Another great vid...I love the fact that you still have the stock rubi wheels. I am not the only one that likes them apparently! The 37s sure look good with that lift. Great looking Jeep.
"I'm a dude, I want the best stuff." Thanks, Jason. Looks like I'll be getting the 2.5 game changer when I get my 35s. Just a few more miles on the stock tires...
@autoedit Thanks for this video. I've been waiting almost 2 years for someone to make an even slightly comprehensive review video on Metalcloak's GC lifts. I'm planning on the 2.5 OME edition for my JK for the LCG. This has been extremely enlightening.
Ugh, I know you have a life and stuff but I'm loving your videos, can't wait to see what you do next. I have a WJ and I'm currently working/saving my way to a nice off-road rig. Keep up the good work man!
Awesome to see the Jeep stretch it's legs some after all the upgrades and work you've done. Thanks so much for sharing this build. Hopefully we'll get to see some real off road footage of your Jeep soon.
Hey Man, I watch your videos all the time all the way back here in Dubai, I own a Jeep Rubicon 16. loving this game! (though I am from Mexico), Keep it up bud!
Jason, I really enjoy your channel. Your videography is great. Professional video is really appreciated. .I've been following you since your early days with Jeep. Keep it up. Thanks for the quality presentations. Hector B
Looks like she handled like a champ. We were out there with you guys that day. I was in the 2017 RAM Rebel Black and my buddy was in the 2017 White Wrangle. We snuck into a few of your shots. Would love some clips if you have any. Your new setup is awesome and yes we noticed those shocks also.
I absolutely love everything you have done to this jeep short of a 4bt Cummins or ecodiesal swap it is exactly how I'm going to build mine keep up the awesome work I like seeing your videos becouse it seems we think so much alike
Airing down will prevent inner damage to those very expensive tires. Not to mention it increases traction. Great looking jeep I have a 2013 with a manual gearbox. I love it.
I'd like to see you rig flexing a bit. I'm surprised you didn't put One tire up on a tall rock. I know that's the first thing I wanted out of this video. Lastly I've watched all your jk videos and by no means complaining, but if you get a chance and the time I would love to see her flex. Enjoy all of them. Thanks Charles
love your videos all the way from Australia! I have a Rubicon too, it amazes me how capable it is! and mine is still stock! putting 34s and 3.5 inch lift very soon!
Some advice but when you go wheeling air down your tires and get yourself a good air compressor to take with you Viair 400p is what I use. Get a feel for when to use your lockers as well and DC those sway bars. Nice project though. I've enjoyed your vids.
Hi Jason. I wanted to start off by saying I really enjoy your video's. I'm building a little smaller version of your jeep. It's a 2015 jk 2 door. Teraflex 3.0 inch lift, 35in good year tires, 4.56 gears, Eton E lockers front and back with the same gold axles you installed when you put in your 4.88's. I've read a lot about the drives shafts being an issue, so I ordered a set from Adams drive shaft out of NV. Keep the Video's coming. If I'm ever in So Ca I'll hit you up I'd love to meet you at Hungry Valley. Looks like a great place.
True! But remember... never pretended that I actually know how to go off roading. Still a newby and learning as I go. Looking forward to going with experienced guys in this Jeep and actually seeing what I can do with it!
That's ok, I was there not that long ago. Just thought it was funny...your jeep will suprise you with what it is capable of once you get it on a tough trail.
I cant wait to get my MetalCloak Game Changer. I will be running the 2.5" with 37s to keep my CG lower. Havent decided on which shock option yet...was mainly looking at the Fox Shock option, but might go with the Rock Shock option since they ride as nicely as the 6pack. Eventually I will upgrade to the Falcon 3.3 Shocks by TeraFlex depending on how the reviews turn out. Love the Jeep!
I see you posted the vid earlier this year, and I heard you say in a previous vid that you were in SoCal. If you haven't gone up to big bear yet and want to get more comfortable with your rig, hit up one of the many Jeep pages and try and make a run up there. I have a 2000 Tj with a 3.5in lift and 33's and did John Bull, that was of course with experienced guys, good spotters and taking it easy. But you would be surprised at how capable that JK is, once you start getting into some bigger trails. Hopefully I see ya out one day, but best of luck and nice rig!
so been watching the build and its definitely nice but give that jeep some credit. so far i would take a stock rig everywhere you've shown so far. "pro tip" make sure to air down your tires. I run 8-10 psi on the trails (maybe next mod can be on board air or CO2 tank)
Jason will you be scoring the articulation and more importantly will you be going over the recommended changes to get your score higher? Just had my 3.5 gamechanger installed last Monday and ran into a guy this weekend at the trails and talked about how he needed to move his rear brake lines inside the frame and some other minors to get his score up higher.
I'm new to Jeeps, and this suspension setup looks like a quality piece for sure. What keeps the coil springs from falling out at full droop? Is it the sway bars that act like a limiting strap?
I am really curious to see how far you can push those 44 axel housing before something breaks and you upgrade to a Dana 60. How and why it breaks. I know the shear weight and leverage the taller tires put stress on the flanges but what wears out first when it's driven like you do. Weekend mild off roading and mostly pavement everyday driver. Hub bearings, axel shaft, yoke, drive shaft, u joints?
I have a question for you experts in the 4x4 sector! (and I would like to know if you can tell me if it is true that the ironman nitro gas shock absorbers go well with the original set-up and can be adapted with the +5? I have a Suzuki jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3 l petrol engine with shock absorbers and standard settings, yesterday afternoon I picked up the new ironman nitro gas shock absorbers and the 4x4 spare parts dealer in Florence told me that these ironman nitro gas shock absorbers are ok for 4x4 off-road vehicles with stock trim or in a second you could put the springs higher and it becomes a +5 high trim is that true? Greetings from Florence Italy!)
AUTOEDIT...like your videos very much. What are those cover inserts in the wheel well? What purpose do they serve? They look good. Thanx for your reply in advance!
I noticed that you have a 6 speed like I do in my 2013 JK. But when your going up the hill your not working the clutch. I had a 78 CJ5 with a granny gear and it would climb over just about anything and didn't have to work the clutch much. But I'm finding out in the 2013 I have to use it more. Is there a switch or something I'm missing?
Howdy! I changed the gear ratio from the stock 4.10:1 to 4.88:1 and this Jeep is a six speed manual transmission. Thanks so much for the comment and question!
Jason, have there been any times off road when you wished you had an automatic transmission? I'm looking to dive into the Jeep world soon and was wondering how difficult it would be to drive a stick off road. There are a lot videos and posts on the topic but I trust your opinion.

You have to much air in those tires or they just plain suck! We go to gorman quite a bit never have a seen Rubicon have such a hard time going up that section of the 4x4 practice area
I've been driving two door Wranglers most of my adult life. And now suddenly all I seem to see are the Unlimiteds. Are they really that much more superior over the 2D off road? This is a serious question and I would like some serious input from you guys (and ladies). I'm in the Jeep buying mode and want to know if I should seriously consider a vehicle I have no use for and don't even find aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks for the video. Looks like a great setup. How do you recharge the Nitrogen in your shocks, if you need to? Can that been done while leaving them on the Jeep? Thanks again!
So fascinating to see how suspension moves. It happens all the time right under our feet, but most people don't think about what goes on down there.
"You socialize with your fellow jeepers and they like your junk." - autoedit. I cant be the only one that got a giggle out of that part X3
LOL!
Inqu Fox you show me your jeep's junk, i'll show you mine!
I dont have a jeep X3
Seems like my mopar lift will do just as good

I geeked super hard when I saw this up loaded yesterday :Dthanks for the upload/update dude! that sweet rig has come a long way!^_^
Awesome to see the jeep in action. That suspension looks so good!

Can you please tell me how you mount your cameras to your jeep? They're super sturdy and I'd like to know how to safely attach my GoPro's.

How about a Currie Dana 44 front axle upgrade builder kit as your next video? It would be great to see one installed.

Greetings from Florence Italy!)
Are you gonna hit the Rubicon at Jeepers Jamboree this year? July 28th-31st I think.
I really hope to!!!!
autoedit I'll be there!
Awesome! I still have a few upgrades I wanna do before I go. Hope to see you there! Great videos, btw. 👍
Strikerage if he was scared about those tiny stones, the Rubicon will give him cardiac arrest
I'm jealousthat you get to do stuff like this. where was this again that you took her out to play.
i live in northern Cali and don't mind the drive.
you have anything down to the axles yet? curious to what you have done.
I installed chromoly axle shafts from G2
Jason when are we going to see more of large marge?
I have some good projects coming up for marge!
AUTOEDIT...like your videos very much. What are those cover inserts in the wheel well? What purpose do they serve? They look good. Thanx for your reply in advance!
are you talking about scott with the yellow jeep?
thanks. ive i learned alot. i wish you have a auto shop here in philippines! :)
Would you ever paint the wheel well armor?
Metalcloak is the absolute best. Are you running BFG MT's? and did you regear after the 37's?
I noticed that you have a 6 speed like I do in my 2013 JK. But when your going up the hill your not working the clutch. I had a 78 CJ5 with a granny gear and it would climb over just about anything and didn't have to work the clutch much. But I'm finding out in the 2013 I have to use it more. Is there a switch or something I'm missing?
Dale Reid Just get a different gear and keep the RPM's up. The 3.6 does not like to lug low
How much better is it that your tires don't rub off-road 😂
Actually, I never mentioned in the video how awesome it was to turn lock to lock with no rub and NOT have a tire try to shred itself on the body!!!!
when I get me a jk, I'll have to come visit you
Come on down!
Jason what gear ratio are you running? and do have manuel or auto? great videos!
Howdy! I changed the gear ratio from the stock 4.10:1 to 4.88:1 and this Jeep is a six speed manual transmission. Thanks so much for the comment and question!
Great video. I'm looking at the same flat fenders are you happy with yours?
Tom Stack Very happy!
Are u gunna take it back up that path that u tested it on in past video?
If you want, yes I can do that... thought about mixing it up a bit but I love that trail so sure.
Jason, have there been any times off road when you wished you had an automatic transmission?
I'm looking to dive into the Jeep world soon and was wondering how difficult it would be to drive a stick off road. There are a lot videos and posts on the topic but I trust your opinion.
In one of your videos you said you have a pretty far commute 40+ miles, I believe.
How's the ride on BFG Mud terrain, loud? rough? or is the Six Pack shocks that good they make the ride very smooth?
Thanks love the videos... Planning on getting my own JK and using your video's to do my mod's.
I absolutely love the BFG's. They make less road noise than the Toyo all terrains on my work truck and handle everything I do very well.
Have you already cleaned the dirt and mud off the bottom yet.
LOL, no time because of work and it's making me crazy!
Jason, did you re-gear it ?
I'm in Santa Clarita, are you close to that area? Seems like I see familiar areas in your vids. We hit Hungry Valley on accusation.
Clint cunliffe I do live in Santa Clarita
autoedit Let's get together and go wheeling.
Where is this exactly?
You have to much air in those tires or they just plain suck! We go to gorman quite a bit never have a seen Rubicon have such a hard time going up that section of the 4x4 practice area
I know in an earlier video you mentioned mileage with the 37's was around 14.5 combined, has that dropped with the lift?
Surprisingly, it has stayed about the same... very acceptable.
Lower that tire pressure makes all the difference, then just pump them back up with onboard compressor .
What did you drop your tire pressure down to?
Awesome video man! That's the life! Do the side walls of the front tires rub against the frame lifted?
Thanks for the video. Looks like a great setup. How do you recharge the Nitrogen in your shocks, if you need to? Can that been done while leaving them on the Jeep? Thanks again!
Thanks! Yes the nitrogen can get recharged by any shop with a bottle and a fitting for the shock and yes they can be done on the Jeep.
