Love your videos! The guidance trough the build process is flawless! You not only have the knowledge, but also the ability to teach it and that is a great ability. Great video as always!
Seven years after uploading, six years since I first watched, and I’m back. It is time to correct the final previous owner problem and pull the trigger on a Metal Cloak Game Changer 3.5 for my JKU. Thanks Jason for all your helpful instruction and entertainment over the years. Plus it was good to see Pinto again.
I am a new Jeep JKU owner, and I was very impressed with your tutorial of this installation. I truly like that you were honest about the timeline of the install. About a weekend is correct, especially for someone like me who would need this video to do such an install as this one. Very well done. See ya on the trail.
My 3.5" gamechanger lift shipped today. I am so excited to install it this week!!! I was doing research on 3.5" lifts and was leaning towards Metalcloak but after watching how your's preformed on the rubicon I was sold. Thanks for all the info!
@@AutoEdits It is on and I am tired haha! 😁 I need to get an alignment but it already rides way, way nicer than my previous lift. So excited to test it offroad!! Have a good one!
Hi Jason just wanted to come back and say because of this video oh so long ago... I found out about Metal Cloak and got the MC 3.5" GC lift as well. I went Rocksport for the ease. And I can't stop driving my JKU! Love this lift! In my Jeep I rarely got over 70 and really liked driving at 65. Not anymore! The Jeep is so planted I'm whipping it around exit ramps like I never thought you could in a lifted JK! Offroad its just plain amazing, I have yet to need to disco the front sway bar! Thanks again man! And look forward to more of your trail rides!
I don’t have a JK (yet) but I love videos like this. Removes any fear or intimidation that comes with an upgrade like this. Excellent walkthrough and camera angles. Thanks!
Thanks for the great videos, I installed my new Game Changer Fox 2.0 addition over the last two days. I wouldn’t have had the confidence to take on the installation much less, fork over the cash to purchase this awesome lift without your install videos. The install went great and the ride is incredible! So far I’ve followed your lead and have swapped the wheels, tires, brakes and lift kit suspension. Keep the videos coming!
Got mine on about a year ago, it's probably the best upgrade I've ever done to my JKU. I live near the MetalCloak headquarters here in Norcal, and got to pick the kit up and talk to the guys there. Pretty cool dudes.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series on your JK build...lots of harsh comments as you went along but cool you stuck to your vision and in the end, it's your jeep and you should be very proud. This series has inspired me to modify my jeep and I'm liking the metal cloak line. I've got a TJ so things will be a little different but either way should look good. Thanks for all the good info and look forward to your future vids...peace
Been Subbed for a while now and I'm really glad I did. I keep coming back to your videos for ref and just the most entertaining ones I've found. Love the banter and screen presence you give your videos. Fred needs to look out before you get your own show! Keep it coming Jason!
MetalCloak lift kits are killing it! These people definitely know what they are doing. The duroflex joints, the multistaged coils, the 6paks.... and probably the most FLEX capable lifts on the market today. Anxious to see how'd it performed!!
Watching your videos is what drove me to to buy my first ever Jeep JKU Sahara . Bought smity built rock sliders .warn winch. Daystar toggle switch and pod lights n fender well lights as well .
This video is the reason I'm buying a MetalCloak 5.5" long arm kit soon :P Thank you! I was torn on the Game Changer vs Long Arm, but I do so much highway travel in my 2-door (about as equal as I do O/R) that I'd love the solid stability the long arm provides over just adjustable flexers :) Thanks again, man! Great video! This one is my second favorite, aside from your Rubicon Trail vid!
@@AutoEdits Yep! If we're gonna go, we're gonna go for gold :D I wanted the Lock n' Load for full articulation, without worrying about killing everything else. And, of course, the 6-pak setup. Upgrade will be "soon", as in "as soon as the rear tires go" lol. The fronts were rotated from the rear about 6 months back, and these "new" rears have some life. But, we recently took it out to the Hammers (Johnson Valley, CA) and tore the hell out of them trying out some waterfalls. No go lol. So, since we'll need some way beefier tires than 33's under a 5.5" lift, we planned to wait until we need all 5 replaced. At the same time, we're gonna do driveshafts, gears, and selective lockers (Jeep is a Sport, non-Rubi), while also swapping out the D30 up front to a fully built Dynatrac D44. Should be one hell of a year!
@@AutoEdits Oh, and also, since I'm just going with the stock D44 in the rear, I'm going to upgrade to 35-spline, as well as truss it for added strength. Excited.
Awesome! from Hawaii.....You make this look TOOOO easy.... Thanks...great Video... MetalCloak needs to commission you to make their videos...seriously!
For a good safety measure, you should put the wheels under the jeep while you're working on it. If the jackstands fail the tires will be there to help keep the jeep from crushing you. Just a little precaution I take when I'm under mine.
gorgeous kit! The jeep is looking show quality and has the capability to perform too! Also, very kind of you to offer up your old suspension components for free
Excellent video and nice lift I totally feel your excitement as I just put a Teraflex S/T 3 lift kit. It basically comes with everything your kit did except different speed bumps.
You should paint the inner wheel well covers black to finish off the clean and sophisticated look on the Jeep. Absolutely love the channel, keep up the good work!
Love the Jeep brother! I can't stop staring at those KM2's! Once my JKU is set up and I'm hitting more trails then pavement their a must over my KO2. Keep the videos coming. JeepWave from the559!
Appreciate your videos a subscriber that also gives you likes. I'm a disabled Vietnam Vet I got my first JK an Unlimited 2007 4 Dr . They did and some 27 surgery's lots of grafts most didn't take at first. I have an arm and hand . Problem is even though everything works my had grip strength is useless. Great job. I have been subscribed since the 37" install. Content is great and your editing is even better. I just ordered the same kit last night except w/ RockSport shocks. Pretty upset no video running with Dan and the paint can :)
LOL! So glad to hear you got this kit as well. My guy Scott at Metalcloak says that for day to day wheeling and driving, the Rocksport shocks are definitely the way to go so you did it right! The SixPak are awesome but need a bit of attention now and then and some people might not be into that.
Love your jeep, love your videos. I've got a 17' Rubicon and am awaiting funds to lift it... boy is it expensive... keep up the videos! Try and post more!!! :)
Oh, and you may want to trim the rear of your rock rails. A common problem with tire rub, if you haven't already. Can't remember if you've done a video on it or not. That is a good tip, thanks!
Considering he put 37s on a stock height vehicle in general before a lift, he should just kick the jack stand down while he’s under it.
If we didn't have gravity, we would have no worries about the jeep coming down if the jack stands failed.
love it, You Deserve your own show on Motor Trend Channel...
We should tell them, right!!!!
