Sadly so many people think that they don't have to train their small dog. You need to train them like any other dog especially mentally. This is why most of them are aggressive towards people or other dogs. I also own a chihuahua and he is the sweetest dog at home and outside unless he sees another dog. One of his previous owners never corrected that behaviour and now we have to deal with it. He is making some progress though and I am proud of that.
You are right! Every dog must be trained as PUPPIES! It will make it so easier later.

I guess they all have different personalities but common traits in the breed. I recommend chihuahua to anyone even though I like medium to large dogs with living space like apartment or condo these are perfect choice for small spaces.

Watching this and the part about chihuahuas being one-person dogs who hate non-chihuahuas made me think of Jenna Marbles' dog, Mr. Marbles. While he was a bit that way at first, he now gets along well with her two Italian greyhounds and larger greyhounds, and the Marbles at Bedtime video really shows how he bonded with her partner Julien. He's truly a sweet-natured little guy.
Little dogs can be lovely. It's all about how well they're socialized and how calm their owner is, and how able they are to set proper boundaries in a firm but tender way.

I have a long-haired chihuahua who became my princess. She was my wife's dog first...and we did not originally get along.... but now we are inseparable. There are so many times when I come home from work upset and distraught (i'm a police officer) and it's like she just knows/senses that I had a really bad day. She will come over to me and just lay her head next to me while kissing (licking) my nose as if she's saying, "I gotcha, daddy."

@@Sunshinelola Agree. I think as long as you arent one of those ppl that lets dog like look at the groceries or smell them then thats ok. Dogs in public dont bother me unless its clearly off leash, and not under owners control (and I mean like big dogs)
At one point I had 3. We all went bye bye together. Crazy dog lady here...

Ok so it seems I've got a pretty special Chihuahua. He loves all size dogs, cats, and people. He's my service dog so he goes everywhere with me. He has always gone outside to do his business and will find a place to poo that is away from anywhere where there is a chance of someone stepping in it. He also hardly ever barks. Only when he is alerting for a seizure in me will he yap type bark. When he does I know I need to sit down so I don't get hurt at the start of a seizure. He will sit as close as he can get til it passes. He lost his eye when he went after a German shepherd saving me from its attack. He's my brave little Bodie dog.

Same in our house. My little 7lb Chi loves my daughter's service dog, he's an 80lb bully, to the point that if my daughter is sick and her dog is refusing to leave her side, my Chi will bring him food and leave it by him. She loves my granddaughter who was born the day after she was, they'll both be 2 next spring.

I think people believe they cure asthma because chihuahuas like to sleep on their owners’ chests right up against their face.
Mine does that when I have a bad sinus infection and am up coughing all night. She seems to be more worried about me when I’m having respiratory issues.

Chihuahua owners, I work 10 hours a day 4 days a week. Is getting a Chihuahua feasible for me, or for any dog?
In regard to safety factors, as long as the environment is warm and safe and enough food and water is supplied, a healthy chihuahua can be okay alone for up to 9 or 10 hours.

Right now I feel like having a pet is beneficial for me mentally, but I don’t want to get a pet and not be available to give the love and attention that it needs.

Destroy things around the house, like furniture, clothes, the doors ,windows, or the walls. We would not recommend a dog for someone like you. They need to be walked and that energy needs to be consumed.
You can get someone to walk to the dog. As for peeing and pooping, you can house train your dog to go on the wee wee pads. You can also get a camera to watch and interact with your dog. Walk the dog before you leave and when you return home. The dog will adjust. Get the dog.

I just had my chihuahua run out of my house yesterday and got ran over and got up and walked away like nothing happened I was very impressed because of the rear tire ran over his hole body I took him in the vet and vet ran so many test and xrays and didn't find anything wrong with him thank God needless to say I'm Installing and gate so if he runs out this will never happen because it was scary

What is a lingering molera
A molera (also known as a fontanel) is a "soft spot" on the top of a Chihuahua's skull.
It is the equivalent to the bregmatic or anterior fontanelle in human babies, but unlike most mammals, Chihuahua's fontanelle persist into maturity.
I have a Chihuahua and a king Charles cav. They get along great and have since getting the chi. So I strongly disagree with the chi needs a chi! I've seen tons of videos of Chi's mixed with other breeds as well. So this is a false as proven by fact!

All of this is wrong to me at least Now I have never actually met a Chihuahua but I know how mean they are I mean if you’re their owner and they’ve been with you for many of years they might like you but any other situations they are really really really really mean they will always bite you you can go to the bathroom and in with a Chihuahua chasing after you and they will bite your ankles off
Each dog is different. Maybe it wasn’t socialised as a puppy.
