  • Stretchy Cord Bracelets are super easy to wear, and easy to make! We LOVE them at The Bead Gallery, because it allows us to wear our most favorite beads, and still have the quick and easy option to cut it apart if we want to make something else. AND in the meantime, our most beautiful beads can be admired and enjoyed!
If you are a fan too of Stretchy Cord Bracelets, start making your own right away:
    - Get your stretchy cord here: tbg.tips/tbgstretchy
    - Check out our handy PDF for the stretchy cord technique here: tbg.tips/stretchypdf
And as always, if you have questions, please comment or email us directly at request@thebeadgallery.com
    0:00 Introduction
0:17 Step 1: Cut two 2-foot pieces of cord.
0:20 Step 2: Fold the pieces of cord in half, and tie the four strands together with an overhand knot to keep the beads from falling off the cord.
0:24 Step 3: Clip the knotted end of the four strands to a clipboard to help keep the tension in the cord.
0:32 Step 4: Use 6 inches of fishing line as a needle. Alternatively, may use a piece of thread or a collapsible big eye needle.
0:46 Step 5: Start by stringing on a big hole bead first, in order to hide the knot later.
0:52 Step 6: Continue to string on beads. If the bead holds are small, stretch the cord slightly, and pull the bead over the “thinned out” cord. Do not tug the fishing line, as that will weaken the cord. Hold the stretchy cord, not the fishing line, when pulling the beads down.
2:04 Step 7: Once all the beads are strung on the cord, push all of the beads down towards each other.
2:17 Step 8: Size the bracelet around your wrist. Allow for a little extra, because the beads will snug up after you tie the knot and take all the slack out of the cord, and it will end up fitting tighter than you expect.
2:32 Step 9: Re-insert your fishing line through loops.
2:38 Step 10: Slide all of the beads towards the fishing line.
3:24 Step 11: Once, all of the beads are pushdown, cut away two of the cords.
3:28 Step 12: Insert the two cords into the end. You can use the fishing line as a needle to pull the two cords through the loop, so that you end up with two ends running through the bead and two ends clipped to the clipboard. Remove the cords from the clipboard.

Hi, thank you for sharing this great tutorial. I have a question...where can I purchase those stretchy cords? I have not seen colored stretchy cords like those. I can only find clear, black, & gold stretchy cords in craft stores where I live. Thank you

I stopped by the shop this afternoon to buy this wonderful stretchy cord. This tutorial is great, and this cord is like nothing I've seen at the various crafts stores on Oahu or even Walmart's craft dept. This stretchy cord is a game changer. It's simply amazing.
