Every inch of land needs to be covered in food trees so that people always have clean organic food to eat, to end poverty, to protect against floods and to make the earth beautiful and clean again.

In many parts of th country the soil is sand or clay and needs to be amended, which is costly. That's not an issue in most of Michigan. Have you started a seed exchange? Toledo has a great seed swap, but so many people in the city can't get there. Griffin Gardens is a gift to the city and so are you!

Monarch Butterflies: plant some milkweed plants, just a weed, but critical for the Monarch Butterfly. They are really quite a unique plant, (and flowers).
I love bees & buy only NO nics-no neanicatanoids to help them feed on safe plants that weren't given ANY pesticides etc! So glad I got this video. You are a great educator. Thank you. I agree that our family history is important & calls to us.

Maybe we can meet up one day over coffee to ask your expert advise on how to start and proceed with our project. I always met the best people through gardening.

When I move into my property in Minnesota, out in the middle of nowhere, I could only find a mother bumble bee and her daughter. Now in fall when they go to where I planted their favorite fall flowering plant, you can see more than 100. Also honey bees that are native to Europe.
The prize is materialized by the eyes that behold it. This what she has done. Turn what others looked at as just where a house use to be into a prize for the community and eco system. Great job. Listen folks, keep you eyes on the prize. I’m just sayin!

I bet if you started a non profit for gardening the city of detroit could likely give the organization the silverdome stadium to turn it into a giant garden? using the collapsed roof panels could build raised beds or tiny houses to house the helpers

Great idea. I'd think about raised beds with a decent top soil in if the soil on the ground is no good. I think I read that in certain parts of America you can't grow your own vegetables in your own garden. I dont know if that's true but insane if it is. Anyway, this lady needs crowd funding
