Is your neighborhood in Southern California? I ask because she was able to grow Mangos and what a delicious fruit that is! Of course, Florida can grow Mangos as well. 👏
My home owner’s association would have a COW if we tried to have a front yard this heavily planted. But... they usually leave us alone re: the back yard. I am most impressed that after several back surgeries and in chronic pain, she is doing all of this!!!! She isn’t complaining, but she is not comfortable if she is still wearing a back brace. Bless her. She’s amazing.
Chantal, thank you for your message, I am in tears. I have had that voice for the last year. It just looks impossible!! You have inspired me. Thank you. On this 4000 square meter jungle I will just start with two squares a day!!!
Strong willpower , resilience, and a loving humanity is what this beautiful woman represents here. All humanity must garden, for that is the key for defeating fascism ad food shortages ! Bravo my lady!
Chantal's hat is EVERYTHING! I love it! Thank you for sharing this video - her garden is amazing and I feel so inspired. I am so happy to see her talking about the work of Vandana Shiva as well. I have seen her speak at a conference and she is a powerful force for change in this world. Blessings to all x
Bundles of thanks to Rob Greenfield and Chantal Lemoine for sharing this inspiring video and project. How beautiful all this is and the lovely and inspiring lady! This year I will endeavour to create and provide a swap box for excess produce, and a basket of home-made jams with an honesty box at my front garden gate. I have been interested to try Biodynamics, but watching this has encouraged me to go ahead and do it! :-D
Chantal you are a blessing to this planet. I'm trying to do my part and plant as much as I can on my little 1/4 acre. I keep saying if I plant something it has to give back to me in some way and that is a healthier life with healthy foods to eat and it's just out my front door!
Classy lady, I share her passion for my organic garden and food forest. It's the most important movement happening right now in society. To grow our own food and help others do the same in the spirit of community. We are all one. Namaste.
I'm encouraged to keep trying. Pain makes me slow but seeing that beauty can come in spite of it motivates me to get back to work planting. Thank you for sharing your beauty!
Most plants are edible according to a group of enthusiastic people I met in North Italy a few years ago. They didn't just talk, we went walking in the hills surrounding the town where I lived - a 5 minute walk - and collected all sorts of plants, herbs and vines. Then they cooked risotto with the plants we gathered at the local Italian Alpine Club: it was delicious! 🤗🙏🌞💖😇
I will be praying that the Lord Almighty helps you to stay healthy so you can continue doing this ministry you are doing, God bless you and your family Chantal

What a beautiful soul this lady is. Turning the hardship and suffering she has faced into motivation to put out positivity and community-minded action. It does me good to see things like this ❤️
Very interesting lady and I admire her stamina and go do it attitude! This is the way we are meant to live! I know my great grandparents came to Canada from Germany and grew their food , raised cows etc. Hard work was done. They traded with the indigenous people and I still have a corn basket that they used. I also grew up with a big back yard garden full of vegetables , and an apple tree, raspberries, and strawberries. And visited my grandmother's huge garden with cherry and peach trees and lots of veggies. We shared with our neighbors and often invited friends for supper on weekends. We were poor financially, but did our best!
I love that people are really starting to learn more about gardening and the many benefits of doing so for the body, mind, and soul. And, thanks for sharing Chantal's story, very moving!
"We don't have many things to connect us to our past" I felt that hard. I'm Armenian, and it's really hard to find any sort of family records or anything since the genocide. Anyone who has records of your family or things passed down through generations, be grateful for it!
The very real experience of Africans throughout the Diaspora, not born on the Continent, resulting from the enslavement . Definitely can relate. DNA tracing will help.
One must be an awesome individual to see life from this perspective and to take initiative to create in this manner. I see beauty, nourishment, creativity.....just so much! Respect!
Quand je vois les aînés que nous avons, je reste impressionné par leur énergie et leur vitalité. Il faut profiter de leur savoir avant de le perdre. Merci Rob, merci Chantal. Vous êtes inspirants.
Wow, what a beautiful story. Gardening is amazing thing, it has certainly changed my life. Peace surrounds me daily being in the garden. Today I can working on a mini orchard and I could not be happier.

I would love to live in that neighborhood!
They must either have a very creative, lenient HOA or not have any at all. Love it!
