These guys are not getting enough credit for taking a song dominated by synth and masterfully transposing it to just guitars in a way that rivals or even surpasses the original!
Holy crap--every part of that was spot on, from Toni's vocals and everyone's guitar/bass work, to the harmonies (Reina nailed the high parts!), etc. Amazing.
I'd go so far as to say her broader voice is far better suited to lead vocals and Reina's light airy voice is far better suited to backing vocals. But what does this former choir-boy know.

Toni is more or less a phenom. She is an amazing guitarist, not necessarily in the ways many people might compare, in other words, she is not Jimi Hendrix, or Joe Satriani or Steve Vai on their best days, for the old folks, or Billy Strings or Kingfish or even Molly Tuttle today. All of whom I absolutely love 100%. But Toni is special because she gets in the pocket like a little mouse in a pocket, and huddles up in there, and just grooves, you feel it deeply. It is a very special, and unique talent. I’m am so, so glad this group found each other. They are todays virtuosos. Pop music will always capture the attention of the masses, but this gang is special. And Toni, is an artist! If they all come to my neck of the woods, I am going to spend all the money, to go to their show.

And the great ´human’ harmony between the 3 ( and all the ones involved around the Reina Del Cid projects) is amazing: we all know the great talents of Reina, Toni, Josh and the others, each of them is a kind of virtuoso, but when they play together it is only about doing the best music and never about egos.

Toni, this is unreal! You didn't copy a song, you made it original! Love the Robert Cray tone you pull out of that Strat. Turned a pop song into a haunting blues anthem. And judicious use of effects, which are easy to overuse on a track like this. Thank you for inspiring me
Seriously, I’ve played and sang just about everything in my 58 years. Many of these songs weee big in my youth. And yet, for the first time in my life, something has changed. Rather than the cover making me want to listen to the original, the originals make me want to get on UA-cam and watch these covers. It’s an upside down world thanks to this little cadre of eccentric rebels.
Old rocker here, been playing seriously since I was in grade school and over 60 now. For the first time in my life, something has changed too. No matter what, I'd never say a cover was better than the original; how could it be when one is a copy. So, Josh covered "Still Crazy" by Simon and I thought damn I'm gonna go listen to the original version. And....I liked Joshes more. The original seemed over orchestrated. Joshes guitar composition of that song is genus.
There’s a whole world of talent on UA-cam that far surpasses the quality of what big record labels and main stream TV/radio churns out. You guys are right up there with the best👍.

When musicians get together something amazing can happen. It happened with these pros here. Guitar work was spot on, harmonies, especially the "woos" were spot on. I never thought there would be a great acoustic version of this '80s synth classic, but here it is.

This performance is great, as others have said in the comments already. I've noticed in general when Reina and Toni play together that (not forgetting the great guitar work) the pretty harmonies in the vocals are probably my favorite part of most of their songs. The fact that Toni can play well on several instruments is not lost on me either, but the vocals can sound so lovely together!
I bless the day several years ago when, for the first time, a Josh, Carson, Reina and Toni video came up on my side bar. It was Stuck in the Middle, and it was the first time they'd all met and played together. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a long term relationship for me with them. Excellent from the beginning, and they just got better and better, together and individually.
The more I see of Toni the more I’m impressed! She’s incredible on guitar and has a great voice! Clearly she’s having fun! And, oh yeah, Josh is his usual great self!
Nice cover. The crazy thing is this was the music of my high school years and it was 40 YEARS AGO! I remember when this came out. Its nice that the younger generation doesn't think of this as old fuddy duddy music. Those years had so much great music in so many different genres. At the time, we didn't realize how lucky we were. I've played for 40 years and she's one of the best I've heard. She's an excellent lead player, particularly when you hear her play on some of their original stuff. But as great as she is as a lead guitarist, she's my favorite rhythm guitarist in the world. She finds that pocket and locks in tighter than a crocodile's bite. It is pure magic.Great voice, too!

This is one of my favorite collaborations with Toni, Elle and Josh. Between Toni's electric guitar and Josh's bass additions to the "usual" Toni and Elle sound, there's a beautiful richness that some of their other works "lacks" (personal taste, not a talent judgement). The three singing together is AMAZING! Love the work, keep it up!
It's very clear listening to your renditions of other people's songs how much you love the art of music and their original performance. You all have a knack for hearing the harmony, and then purely recreating it in your own special way. I love the music you guys play, keep up the great work.
Strats are such unforgiving guitars. Everything you do, good or bad, will come to the forefront. Fortunately Toni doesn't have to worry about that. Every touch is virtuoso.
