A real classic. We recorded this in an unexpectedly vibey Belfast hotel room just a couple days before we wrapped up our Fall 2022 Europe/UK Tour. Now I'm back home and just trying to figure out how to incorporate more wood paneling into my life. Josh Turner did indeed come completely unhinged at the end of this take [as seen in the video] but we managed to get him back to the US where he kindly mixed this performance for me.

@@nalexttwhy be sad? That’s the beauty about music; it took one specific rendition for Tim to truly enjoy it. What matters is that they DID like it now! Why should it matter how long it took? Perhaps the time “waited” only made the experience that much sweeter :)

Same here.. and the first time I could hear the lyrics clearly. Sorry, just not a Bee Gees fan... not that other people aren't entitled to love them.. good on ya if you do.. Just my opinion.. not trying to offend, just being honest... this version was much more listener friendly to me
Love Toni's smile as Josh hits the high notes at 3:18. These kids never fall short of perfection every single time.
The unsung hero of this ensemble is Josh, his falsetto and impeccable Bass.
Additionally, the absolute metronome by Carson, the voice Toni gives her Tele, the way the Martin just sorta hangs out and chills in the background. Combine that with all the human voices - yes, Josh's falsetto surprised me, for sure - and a great "beer take" was created. Nice going, y'all!

Doubtful that anybody should try the beegee's songs. It shows the imperfections. Just let the masters do it.
I’m so glad these four talents found each other and that this rare harmonic blend of human voices has been recorded. Amazing that I can close my eyes and float on that perfect harmony.

@@pkoven I think what they mean is that back in the day Toni was very much the guitarist, she would either not sing or sing backing vocals. Now she's taking on whole songs.

Her voice does have a certain sweetness. For me, a lot of vocalists kind of blend together in my mind, but she is distinct to my ears.

This video just popped up out of nowhere… I watched and immediately felt mesmerised, the beautiful harmonies just melted me. I’ve watched it five times in a row and will probably never tire of it. You are all wonderful musicians but I can’t take my eyes off she who plays the acoustic guitar… so cool watching her strum without a care in the world, her facial expressions when she sings… just great 👍 you made my day 😊

In 1968 I had a 1966 Fastback Mustang and I installed a 6 track player in it. I only had one tape and it was the best of the Bee Gees .Beautiful job on this classic. Visit me at Burlington Bill on you tube and hear 66 Mustang. The story of my beautiful Rosalie and I travelling from fort to fort while I trained troops in our 66 Mustang with everything we owned in it. Still going strong 53 years later and still travelling the country!

That was really pleasant. Toni’s solos: what a clean sound, just perfect. Reina’s voice is a fresh pastry 🥐 for breakfast. Josh’s bass guitar line: seems you’re walking (safe) with a giant bodyguard at your shoulders. The drumming was nice too, not too invasive as this song requires.
Toni’s voice style here reminded a little bit pomplamoose singer’s singing mood.
Anyway, you known how to wrap a nice song into your beautiful and personal/original “gift paper and ribbons” arrangement.

Ever notice that the "beer" take... the take that's "just for fun", where no one is worried about making mistakes or the outcome and simply "let loose"... is always the BEST one? Some of the most amazing creative moments come from the "beer take".
So true. You’d think that lesson would stick at some point and it’d just be how you do all of em, but man is it easy to get caught up in chasing getting everything right
@@ToniLindgren Honestly, that's when the most magic moments happen, when people "go for it" with improvisation, not caring how it turns out. They're inspired and just "do it". I have a vivid memory of being in the car with my friends, and we're all singing along to this song on the radio, which has a sustained crescendo right at the end. Without planning, without trying, all 4 of us ended on a different note for a perfect harmony that was perfectly timed and synced with just the right inflections for each of us to have our own unique sound. (Some with vibrato, some with a slide, some steady). Like we had rehearsed it for months to get it just right. Only we didn't, LOL!! I always wished I had a recording of that moment, it was golden!!
Edit: I should add, what made the moment so amazing was that there wasn't an actual lyric for that last note, we all simply decided to improvise our own hum or croon. In harmony. With style. 😎 It was glorious!
