Chord diagrams are so much better than the “third finger on the third fret of the D string....etc...etc....” seeing both hands is so good for chord changes and strum timing. Great job!
Yah - that is so stupid. Show the diagram the way Toni is doing here. You see her hand and finger positions and general transitions and the chord diagram. What could be better?
I couldn't play an instrument to save my life, but I watched this three times. Why? To listen to Toni strum her guitar, to listen to Toni talk, to watch Toni smile. 100% beautiful. Thanks Toni.
I just learned more about playing guitar in 3:39 mins., than I've learned in a lifetime. If this doesn't become the go to channel for beginners around the world, then something's amiss. Well done...
Thank you so very much. I am a latino trying to play and sing in English. You make it very simple to learn I got this song down after several days thanks to you.
Thank you Toni for providing this. For some reason, I just saw it for the first time even though I've been following you for quite some time. You couldn't have made it any simpler and I appreciate it.
Agree with others: your singing and chord diagrams put you way ahead of most UA-cam teachers. Slow tempo is also good teaching tool. For what it’s worth, I know that you and Reina have recorded this tune in a nice 6/8. But at this slower tempo in a lesson aimed at less advanced players, I hear the more familiar 4/4 time signature with your strumming as 1-2-and-3-4-and. In any case, this is one of the clearest song lessons I have seen.
Really like your technique of showing the chords, chord diagrams, and words, all together on the screen. Nice! When I had to go back for the B flat 9, I saw right away how to make it. (Now I just need to strum that chord a hundred times. Haha.) Very well done. Thank you.
The most difficult thing for me will be to keep up this "down down and up" rhythm. And there are two chords I've never used in my life, or only very rarely - A7 and Bb9 - otherwise the rest is very accessible. Thank you very much Toni.
You have a winner in what you are doing. Most recreational guitarist are not looking for complicated songs. The chord graphics are great. I would encourage beginners and or those that need a tuneup to get motivated ,stay tuned for great things to come from you. There is nothing wrong with KISS .
I did not realise you have such a nice voice. You are brilliant at everything you put your hand to, and to play and sing like you do must make life a breeze, l,will add, most of the time because we all have not so good days. I hope all wishes come true.
Oh Toni! I have absolutely no interest in playing the guitar. But, I would watch this all day long just to see your smile. This is great teaching. Strong and consistent visual cues with strumming, chord progressions and tablature. You have a very encouraging tone and manner. Limited verbal input. The screens were apportioned perfectly. Excellent. I wish you success in business.
Toni, have been enjoying you and your fellow musicians for quite awhile. Been play guitar longer than y'all been alive! And now my algorithm found your site! What a wonderful world indeed... love the easy strum lesson. Will pass it on to my grandchildren, two who I've inspired to pick up the guitar! You're a much better instructor, better looking too... thnx for sharing ❤
Love your version so much and I'm embracing it. There's this minor modification that works better to my ears with the Am/G on the " I see friends shaking hands. Am/Em seems to comfort my ears better. I could be wrong, but then there's no wrong with music. Thank you for this. 😍
Thank you so much for this very clear and informative lesson. Especially appreciate the presenters friendly personality and patient way of presentation. God bless everyone
Hi! The video is highly interactive. We can see the chords as you play. It's a great job. And it's great to convey such a beautiful song. What's more, you're calm and relaxed. You have what it takes to teach. I hope to see you on stage one day, Toni. Have a good day! - Pascal Bécart
Thanks for this, Toni! This is one of my family’s favourite songs. We often played it for our kids when they were young as a precursor to bedtime. Can’t wait to see you and Reina play live again. We have to get Covid under control and get the border open so we can bring you back to Canada!
I have started collecting vinyl albums again, after opening a box that had just over a hundred in it, from when I graduated, nearly 50 years ago. I just picked up Louis Armstrong's album, just for this song. I keep doing that, and now my collection is just shy of 400.
Loved it. It's a snowy afternoon here in DC and I can't think of anything better than learning this song, with your video as my guide, right now! Thank you.
You are amazing.I have played guitar for 50 years (with songs on the radio in the Czech Republic) and I am no way near where you are. You have exceptional talent, and I look forward to watching many more videos from you. Well done!
A different approach to teaching unlike any other you tube guitar instruction. The different graphics are very helpful and give options to learn. Carry on please Toni.
This one is a definite keeper. My father used to play this on an old 45... brings back memories and truly is a timeless beauty. thanks so much for sharing it with us
Absolutely brilliant lesson! Super easy to follow along and learn. I play free shows at assisted living facilities and a resident has requested this song for the longest time. Thanks to you and this awesome tutorial, I’ll finally be able to play it for her. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful song Tony... I'm sure you come from the stars, there is so much love and kindness in your being and your music. Love from France Daniel
A pretty simple song to play and yet you make it sound like thewonderful song it is .. it's always a pleasure watching what you bring to the table Toni ..
I love that song.My daughters 1st or 2nd grade class sung that song quite a few years ago.I will now learn it & probably sing it is n church. Thanks kid & you do a good of singing & playing it.
you know what ? that was just so simple and easy to follow that just about anyone could pick up a guitar and learn this as there first ever song ! everything was there strum patern , chord placement , chords in order of play, close up of struming hand and chord playing hand ,and with a bit of rewind, pause and playback. you could teach yourself these cords at your own pace. well done young lady!oh and for the record ! there is nothing wrong with easy version in any song lol
This is lovely. I would love to watch more of these. What I really need to be able to play these is a "next chord" somewhere. I am just behind on the timing because I have to wait to see what the next chord is before I can get my fingers there. If you could just add that in anywhere, it would help so much. Doesn't even have to be the chord diagram, just some way to know where to move my fingers to next, like a little "Am" in the corner. Thanks so much for doing this. I subscribed.
Nicely done! Super impressive when one who plays as nicely as you can still access the beginners mind and make it clear, easy and sound good. If your next couple are this good, I will become a patron.
Chord diagrams are so much better than the “third finger on the third fret of the D string....etc...etc....” seeing both hands is so good for chord changes and strum timing. Great job!

Just found your Chord sheet and chord diagrams for this song……THANK YOU AGAIN TONI!!!🎸🎸🎸. Loooove the way you teach this song🥰🥰🥰
I couldn't play an instrument to save my life, but I watched this three times. Why? To listen to Toni strum her guitar, to listen to Toni talk, to watch Toni smile. 100% beautiful. Thanks Toni.
Clearly, you're not just a natural at playing; your teaching method is fluid and consumable.
Nicely done!
I just learned more about playing guitar in 3:39 mins., than I've learned in a lifetime. If this doesn't become the go to channel for beginners around the world, then something's amiss. Well done...
Put it back in your trousers, dad, people can see this y’know…
Toni, That was Great love to hear you sing more. Let it go girl, you sound Great!

Helya!
So nice of you to give such a humble/easy/relaxed lesson of this amazing song. Fantastic work!!! Very good singing too.

Toni, you are one of my guitar heros, I watch when ever I see your name
Thank you so very much. I am a latino trying to play and sing in English. You make it very simple to learn I got this song down after several days thanks to you.
You just keep giving us more reasons to love you. Please keep this up. Thanks for making my day.
Thank you Toni for providing this. For some reason, I just saw it for the first time even though I've been following you for quite some time. You couldn't have made it any simpler and I appreciate it.
The chords in the tune are as beautiful as every thing he sang about!

Strum Chum Sessions. Love it! Every single day I'm a beginner. Thank you for posting!
I've always wanted Toni to teach me a song! She's an amazing guitarist
Really like your technique of showing the chords, chord diagrams, and words, all together on the screen. Nice! When I had to go back for the B flat 9, I saw right away how to make it. (Now I just need to strum that chord a hundred times. Haha.) Very well done. Thank you.
Such a loooooovely voice! It made my night. Thank You. Toni!
Very beautiful, I can't play any instrument but I love listening to you play and sing. Thank you so much.

I listened to this and I thought to myself, “What a wonderful voice.”
3 years later I had the same reaction as you and was about to say the same thing !

Great lesson. I viewed it with my 8 year old granddaughter and we learned the song together. What a wonderful world.🙂
I've also noticed that gitar. Maybe an old D-28 Marquis or a D-28 AA '37? It sounds wonderful.
Merci Toni pour cet excellent tuto. J'ai hâte de voir les suivants ...
Thanks Toni! I have been a fan for years!
Du bist eine großartige Gitarristin und eine sehr gute Sängerin,
