    Thanks for this. I'm just d/ling it and will install it immediately. Just as an idea, I normally sequence my colors to follow the resistor colour code. I leave out the black and start with brown = drums, red = bass, orange = guitars, yellow = keyboards, green = vocals. I plan to use your colour bar to extend this so that I can ue shades of each color within the sequence.
    Thanks again for giving us this.

    Thanks for this. I had seen this discussed but thought it was Windows only. It works a treat, though I will need to take time to customise it. Your other video on naming and filters was really useful and I think that this will further improve my workflow. Your explanations are really clear and relevant, so I will be waiting for your next instalment!

      Glad it helped. It definitely takes some time to get it configured how you want so that it behaves predictably but once you do, it just adds another level of customization that is pretty easy to get into your workflow. Thanks for your comment!

    Nice video. Well thought out and prepared. For me the colour toolbar is a real help in organising my mixes and workflow (I suspect I'll probably have an off white colour for my buses)

      Me too! This is exactly why I share stuff when I find it. I know that there are other like-minded people like me out there that might not have come across this on their own. I find lots of gems for myself the same way. Kind of like paying it forward. Thanks for the watch and comment.

    This is awesome! And super helpful. Question - why do you think, on my tracks, I only get a tab on the left with the color, while your shows the entire track header (and mixer block) in color? New S1 user here.

      I found the option in the advanced setting :)

      Glad you found it. While Studio One is not as visually customizable as some of the other DAWs out there, there are definitely a few features lurking around in the settings that take a bit to find, test, and apply to your needs.

    Is this compatible with Studio One 6?

    I think all basic DAW functions (except plugins) should be provided by Presonus. One of my reasons for leaving Reaper was its need for a lot of user produced add-ons, also it could be modified so much that users hardly could say they used the same DAW anymore and hence had less common experience to share. However, I will make an exception for the color toolbar and try it out. It looks like something Presonus should have included in S1 in the first place. The stock color palette is confusing, I find it hard to remember which red color I use for guitar etc. I would have liked something like Cubase's take where you can set up your own palette with names and colors.

    i had an older version on the colorbar but when i opened studio one 5.4 it gave me a scripting error saying something about the colorbar, so i went and updated the colorbar to the latest version and it doesn't give me an error anymore but i dont see the colorbar coming up n my toolbar.

    can you make a script to make change that annoying blue color of studio one which is not comfort with most of them

  • @Suitebeat

    Really good idea, but doesn't work for me! I just installed the latest version and the colors and keywords don't match... really buggy!

    • @Suitebeat
      @Suitebeat 3 роки тому

      Ok, I see, the keywords have to match exactly - if they are not 100% equal it doesn't work...

    i already solved it, basically, i had an older version of the colorbar and when i updated from studio one 5.3 to 5.4 i kept getting a pop up window saying that there is a script error so i took out the colorbar zipped folder from the scripts folder and downloaded the latest version and put the zipped folder into the scripts folder, and i didn't get anymore messages about a script error but the colorbar didn't show up in my toolbar and then studio one crashed on me so i went and unzipped the colorbar file and placed it in the scripts fodder and so far so good i didn't get any script errors ant the new version of the colorbar is showing up in my toolbar.
