Agreed. Bummer UA-cam fucked up the audio since the last time I played this. It's impossible to appreciate the stunning technique now on this cut. (The product being promoted is being cheated too.)

Saw this guy at Prog Power USA playing with Fate's Warning for their reunion show and it was nothing less that jaw dropping. Phenomenal drummer. Made playing that technical stuff look easy.

I just met him yesterday in the Sebastian Bach - GN'R concert in Lima Peru and he's truly an amazing person, super nice and down-to-earth guy... and plus of course and incredible drummer!!!!

@Alixbox1723 It's called "open hand" technique. Billy Cobham (considered the originator) and Carter Beauford are some the best-known open-hand players.
The middle had some great 5 note grouping/cymbal accents in sextuplet rate. Bobby can seamlessly blend such an array of phrasings and ideas, he's got it down!

Don't you think he would have been too limited in Dream Theater by playing the stuff they want him to play, instead of letting him write his parts as an own artist himself? Happy he turned them down. He's far too creative for them.

The DTXtremeIII Special has been discontinued and replaced with the DTX950K, the III SP was about $3k
The samples (Evil Drums/BFD2) can be triggered by any Electronic Kit though.

@Alixbox1723 From what I heard, his unorthodox style is due to the fact that he just prefers not to have his arms crossed while playing, but he has the ability to play either style.

@cloudig - You want to get your latency down as low as possible... 128 samples or less... and set up your BFD2 Keymap and the eKit controller notes to send out Variable Hihat (CC4)

sweettt...i Have DTX 750 yamaha Ekit, n usually im having problem mapping to VST drum, manual mapping just doesnt sound right & always end with bad velocity and bad presure, i need VST that full compatible with my dtx 750, vst that maximize with 3zone cymbal, n hihat articulation on my DTX.. is this bfd2 full compatible with my DTX 750? like ,have a DTX 750 preset mapping automatically? if does, im sure getting BFD2... :)

Bobby is the best at what he does,I've also heard some jazz and he's super at that also...and these are the best sounding e-drums I've heard.I wonder how they would sound in a lager amplified arena...I saw Heart live and the drummers e- kit sounded very crappy
@Alixbox1723 This guy's a perfect example for an ambidexterious musician. As PlatinumSamples say, he's Predominantly right-handed, however if you check out the Peppered Cancer video, it's obvious that his left hand is equaly involved as his right hand. As a lefthanded person, I'd play the same way as him, hitting the hi-hat with my left hand on the left side, and the snare with the right, but acomplishing what he does is impossible, 'cause my right hand is not involved in drumming as the left.

How do you trigger the choke function from you electric drums?
I dont think it is possible on EZdrums but im getting BFD2
I use Roland CY-8 dual ride and crash on a TD11 set. Schould i get some other pads?

Yeah, BFD3 is by far a clear winner IMHO.
Bobby is on a different level of playing but in some points I see on him Aquiles Priester style! Both share that groove and power!
listen to the albums " thundersteel" and "privilege of power" from the band "riot"
for more of this true craftsman's excellence on the skins,he is top notch.
I'm surprised the kick pad didn't break. I've had 3 break in just over a year and a half.
Great Drumming by Bobby though.

@Alixbox1723 Technically it's called "open handed". Carter Beuford and many other greats play the same way. If it was true left handed, the toms would go to the left instead of the right. Mike Bordin is another name that comes to mind. You Tube search "open handed drumming" or anything like that and check it out.
